- We took a trip up one of the most majestic mountain villages the Montserrat Monastery. We went to the beautiful church, the museum, and walked around the amazing grounds. This is one of the best day trips from Barcelona! It was easy to get to and well worth a 1/2 of a day to see it. Wow!

how about some information on what train you have to take from Barcelona and where to get that train?
W went to the top as a family years ago. My farther had just been in for lung cancer treatment and this was our first holiday. It was a really hot day and being over 4000 feet up from the valley floor he had a real issue breathing The staff couldnt have been more helpful with his visit.
There's something about Spain. Remember; Hispania 220 BC.
I love Montserrat on rainy days, it's so silent and peaceful, nothing to do with all the tourists there are on sunny days :)

pretty sure he died in Berlin not in Spain. This is a mountain outside of Barcelona
