2015 Ford F-150 XLT Fx4 Review & Drive

- As most of you know I owned a 2013 F-150 about a year ago so it was cool to see all of the news changes for the new generation of Ford trucks! Overall I really like what Ford has done with them and the interior is on a whole different level compared to the past. The exterior isn't stunning to me but it looks pretty good. Driving this truck makes you feel like you're king of the road and gives you a good since of authority. I'd highly recommend these new trucks to anyone in the market for a nice, modern truck!

great review bud, just bought a 2016 f150 supercrew fx4 sport appearance loaded with 5.0l in the new magnetic metallic color, I too just sold my 2013 5.0l for this and I freaking love it. yours is the base model but like mine they have everything matching like I wanted, even my rims match my trucks color. I see you bought yours from tomball ford, I got my from randall reed in humble. oh and the sport mode does work, it changes gear ratio in the transmission and opens up the engines horsepower basically if you want to race it. just don't drive around in sport mode because you'll see the gas gauge start dropping. lol but its fun to drive in that mode, but what I was trying to say is I think ford puts together what they think is good on the base model trucks and on the options that we the consumer think are better you have to go up in price a better package. it's all about what you wanna spend, but you do get alot more bang for your buck buying a ford. great trucks, don't knock it until you drive and see/feel the difference. I use to be chevy and toyota tundra guy and ford won me over.
I just leased a 2015 crew cab XLT Sport with the 2.7 Ecoboost. Man what an awesome engine!!! Awesome truck overall! These trucks these days are built so tight compared to just 5 years ago. I'm allowed 40k on the truck over three years living in Michigan(salt, snow, brutal winter temps. for long periods, "Michigan roads") so we'll see how it goes. Very happy with the truck so far and I average 20.6 over 1850 miles. But what a fast truck with that tiny engine!

That's a cheap lease payment. Was the money factor 0? The dealer offered me $538 a month 0% interest with $2,500 down on a purchase of the xlt fully loaded 4x4. I'm $10,000 under on my trade but I guess there $8,500 in rebates right now. The sticker is $44k and with my trade I'd be financing $40,000 total for the xlt. Crazy deal right? Only problem is the 2013 fx4 I have now is the same inside as the raptor & is much nicer then the 2015 xlt, but my payment is $711 with 4.23% interest. If I got the xlt I'd save $300 a month between payment and interest. You think I should do it?

+Nicholas Wheeler So to keep from sinking money into your 02 model the supposed solution is to sink 20 times as much money for a new one????? Americans ate the STUPIDIST at financial reasoning of any other country on the globe. Even if you SUNK 300 per month in your 02 you would still come out 70% cheaper than a new one. Then you would say any 02 isn't worth investing 300 per month in. YES IT IS if the only other option is to spend 70% more!
+Earl Guyton So you think buying a new vehicle is completely pointless? Are you forgetting the fact that you're gaining more power, nicer interior, exterior, etc. from a new truck? Or the fact you're not just losing out on all of that money, you can always turn around and sell it. A lot has changed since 2002.

Great truck, but I too noticed the headlights and grill didn't look as nice as the previous years.
+Mark Gutknecht On this particular model I agree. This truck is pretty much a base model Fx4. Some of the nicer trim levels have a much better grill/headlight setup.

You realize you can get different wheels etc. it's called options. This model is a cheap low end model.
I'm fully aware what options are. I review each vehicle in an "as is" fashion.
Watching this only makes me want to keep my 02 crewcab ford longer. The 97 to 2002 body style is much more practical and beautiful. The front of that 2015 above resembles the 1962 garbage trucks the city used when I was a child. IM SERIOUS. Its too extreme and looks too commercial as some work rig or something. My 02 f150 4dr is much more refined and beautiful. That 2015 is over kill totally, hell why not just buy a school bus?????Actually the front clip (front fenders and grill and hood) are very same in dimensions and look of the basic school bus front end. Anytime anything is over done it becomes something else altogether. Or why not just drive around in a travel trailer? Amazing how back around 1980 people bought cars so small that two people could lift one and now they are buying vehicles that have the front end of a bus.

Meaning? If a persons salary can keep up they are supposed to pay it in finance charges for over priced junk? And old days is supposed to mean 2002. Why not bump it up to last year being old days and do it right for the IDIOTS.
That's why different styles are made, because we ALL do not have the same taste. But what about your being ugly?
