    I definitely can not recommend this tent which I had in the Medium size for a few weeks. I pumped it up one cooler evening evening in summer. On the next noon it explode. It's clear, warming air expands... Inflating took me very long especially on hot days (sealing problem at higher temperatures?) Took me an hour on a hot noon once in Italy. A sweat job! Never again! Besides these major problems there was one other issue: The front door doesn't close completely at the ground. So we had mosquitoes, bugs and once even a fat toad in the front room. :/ I was so glad that we could return this expensive tent and got the money back after it explode! :)

      Exactly, you will never see me buy a pump air tent. They just simply don't work! It's junk or garbage. The reason they are selling these because it didn't cost them much, they got it for a nickel and try to sell it for thousands of dollars for a junk that won't last no time.

    The guy does a very good job in selling this tent! I like his delivery - no, theatrics, uhmms, ahs, and geewhiz a la americana.

    Would advise against buying one of these. I brought and still have this tent which has been back to outwell as the centre tube went down and the back tube popped not bad for the first use. Then it came back used it again the centre tube went down again and then another tube burst! Worst of all the tent could not even stand up to 15mph winds the back gave way and the tube collapsed. Go for the new version the 7c.
    Great tent but a real let down from such a good company.

    We have a great camping warehouse near us. Visited it recently. I have to say that the Outwell tents are great quality. Really thinking of upgrading to on for the summer. I have to say I loved the idea of blowing up the struts but on further investigation I think I will still go for the traditional structures

      Hi' Stephen, A pole can break, a tube can loose air....you never can be 100% sure that there won't be a broken part during use, but it is very few claims that we have in generel. If poles break or tube looses air - we can always help with a replacement. We stand 100% behind our products and we help our campers under any circumstances if possilble.

    • @davidmimnagh7525
      @davidmimnagh7525 Před 7 lety +2

      Pretty arrogant answer if you ask me, 'a pole can break, a tube can loose air, but 3 out of 5 beams failing and not just a small hole but looking like its been through a shredder is something that is fundamentally wrong.. The tubes are made of cheap plastic, the type you get on those inflatables for sale at seaside shops. All the beams cases have been zip tied which I can only assume is to stop customers looking at the quality of the tube at the camping store. You have not helped me when I had 3 out of 5 beams perish. Customer service is non-existent and you were even prompted for a reply on this tent. In fact you responded by tweeting 'I believe you made your point clear now and to stop posting about this matter as we have already responded. If I owned a company that manufactured goods and have received a complaint from the customer I would be very eager to see why the product had failed, and get to the bottom of it very quickly and ensure a brand new replacement tent is shipped out to the customer ASAP. To be honest this entire experience with Outwell has left a very bitter taste in my mouth.

    I have a Bear Lake 4 tent and it’s really been very reliable especially the sewn in groundsheet..would prefer to,pay for Outwell quality. It cost £900 five years ago but considering hotels are £100 per night for two it’s great value..also the height of these tents is very good as I’m 6ft 2”

    I see something quite similar on amazon and walmart. This is not a product in the US. Don't know how well its going to sleep a family of 4 or 5 but I think I like it. Last time I camped with that many people was when I was young and thought It was fun staring at the sky sleeping on a sack or something. Little things like wouldn't make me excited anymore.

    Wouldn't buy this tent. Back tube burst on 2nd outting. Live in fear of the others popping now. Would say it stood up to really strong winds though once all guys were out. Was a nightmare to pitch in high wind as tubes just bent over on theirselves until all guys in. Dealer did replace tube within 24 hours but we had to endure heavy rain before we received it.

      +Julie Rossiter yeh they did that to mine and they still went down and one still broke the liner holding he tube splits on the zip. Not even had it a year 3 times I have used it and 3 times it broke after been taken away and checked fixed and sent back. Hope your issues get sorted and you can go back to enjoying your holidays.

    • @andrewkerry4871
      @andrewkerry4871 Před 7 lety

      Kevin White yes it is the casing splits on the zip and then rubs the inner tube. The loss of pressure still have no idea. The tent went back for the second time and never got an answer to the problems just a full refund. The new model might be better but seem some reviews with the same issue.

    What it actually means is that the air will leak, bust, ruined your day etc and so on. You will never see me buy a air pump tent. Poles are best and stable, won't leak air or bust. ;)

    Do not have this tent please save yourself some money and avoid it at all costs. If like me you are a big outwell fan then try the new version of this tent. But this will be a let down and you will receive very little in the way of support and just a feeling like you have been ripped off. I have an ongoing issue with this tent if it get sorted I will happily comment otherwise after that occasion. But as of now I am very angry from been fobbed off and told otherwise best of luck campers!

      For younger folks who want to "rough it", like you do, that's fine but for older people a tent like this would be wonderful. I spent enough time in tents while in the Army and don't care to be uncomfortable and sleep on hard ground!!!!!
