It is a very large tent and does require a bit of practice to pitch perfectly - as you say adjusting after you got the tent up is always a good idea - also to understand how to improve your method for the next time
Just after buying a outwell xlp went on our first camping trip last weekend pitch it up solo I have to say alot of swearing. I found not enough give to get the pegs into the poles so had to struggle Abit
we've had this tent for 4 years years now, and are seasoned campers. This video does make me laugh, pitching those poles in any kind of breeze is virtually impossible, and getting those pins into the bottom of the poles...... well, swearing doesn't cover it!!!!!!!!! i put my elbow out trying to do it , and i'm a burly builder. bloody near impossible. secondly, as for getting it back in the bag, as everyone here has mentioned is a joke. you'll never do it. lovely tent if only outwell would come and put it up and take it down again and pack it away.
It's to hang clothes or LED lanterns. From the dozens of tent videos I've seen, this one seems better designed than half of the competition. I think, after about 4-5 tries, I could get it together without having to consult the instruction manual but I'm sure this damn tent weighs a hell of a LOT when packed!
Yeah that's exactly what I said. It's like those airbeds in a bag, why is it, anything you buy that comes in it's own carry bag NEVER bloody fits in again once it's been removed lmao!
Hi Lynda - we have tried making the carry bags larger over the years and now mainly use a different system where you can roll the carry bag around the flock rather than struggle to fit it into a confined space in a closed bag
Hi Catherine, can be a struggle especially with this size tent - however, with the right technique will make it a lot easier - take a look at the video here for a few pointers: czcams.com/video/cW52a87ieVQ/video.html
I just pitched my Whitecove 6 for the first time. It was easy with 2 persons. (Me and my wife). Rolling and putting it back in the bag was also a breeze cause the bag i oversized when loosening all the straps. It honestly thought it would be a pain in the ¤%& but like I said it was surprisingly easy. Well done Outwell. Looking forward to our first trip with this tent :D
A lot of editing!
After you finally get this beast up don't forget to go back and fuss with each one of the poles!!

great video, but did he really get in back in the bag???
He did.. he is a tent rolling pro with all the tent pitching practice you get here at HQ :)
Perhaps check out this video for some pointers on how to best pack your tent again: czcams.com/video/cW52a87ieVQ/video.html

Ha nice one
The inner tent (that you sleeping in) is that in here too when they put it back in the bag?
What are the bars on the inside at the end of setting up for?

Looks like a nice tent but a lot of work to put up. Also don't like all the rope around it
Just bought one, any tips?
like the fact they don't show the massive struggle (including swearing) to get it back in the bag!

Outwelltents my dad just bought this tent and we're using it for the first time on 14th August. Wish us luck!!
I want to buy this tent but I dont know how
Google
Didn't show us him putting it in the bag
Cost? You'll be shocked.
I got the Vermont 6P. Why on earth did Outwell chose to use fiber cross poles. A disastrous change. "Hybrid" doesn't make it any better.
I'm buying an RV.
Apologies David, but I don't remember asking!
to long setup
Need an air tent 12 mins done
Hello. Dry your eyes! Yours faithfully, NotleyJ
