I may not have a live reaction, but this is the next best thing I 'spose. Sorry for another hiatus for something so short, but I'm basically using the new year to finish things I've started and slept on for too long.

Ridley was too big for Smash, so Sakurai made Smash big enough for Ridley.

Ridley’s sprite was too big to fit on the whole screen in one of the Metroid games
The only reason why i tought that ridley couldn't be in smash back at ssb4 is because he was already a boss and it could be confusing and not right to have 2 ridleys at the same time, and no, the alfonzo excuse won't work sadky for him because he is a stage hazard. When they reveal him in ultimate, i was okay.
And for the fat kid on the video, i think the only reason about why he wants shadow in smash is to play as his edgy shadow recolor oc that's totally original
He was shrunk down, which does take away from his character a bit, but it’s okay
Waluigi is too powerful and evil to be in smash
