LORE - Kid Icarus Lore in a Minute!
In a time when God and Man lived together in harmony, there existed a kingdom named Angel Land. Two beautiful goddesses ruled over this kingdom; Palutena oversaw the light and Medusa governed the darkness. Palutena ruled from her Palace in the Sky, showering mankind in light so they could grow food but Medusa enjoyed drying up the crop and occasionally turning people into stone.
Palutena, upset that her work was constantly being undone, transformed Medusa into a monster and banished her into the Underworld. No longer a beautiful goddess, Medusa swore revenge and raised an army of monsters in the Underworld. Medusa then mounted a surprise invasion on Palutena's palace, defeating her army handily and securing the Three Sacred Treasures: the Mirror Shield, Arrow of Light, and Wings of Pegasus.
Imprisoned in the Palace of the Sky, Palutena enlisted her personal bodyguard, Pit, to defeat Medusa and her army. With the help of Palutena's bow and arrow, Pit escaped from the Underworld where he was held prisoner and set out to retrieve the Three Sacred Treasures, rescue Palutena, and restore light to Angel Land.

Anyone else wonder why Pit is so freakin strong? In his first game, he kills the Goddess of Calamity. He then kills the Goddess of Darkness and the God of Death at the SAME TIME. Of course, during the quest he faces the Hewdraw and Twinbellos.
In his second game, (a game that is really just one of Pit's normal quests. For example, this entire game is equal to the Aurum story arc) he faces an archdemon warmonger. Think about that. That's just a normal enemy. The game is short but fun.
In his third game, he beats every evil god and goddess, (including Hades, the most powerful god in the game) along with destroying a base as big as the moon, killing an ancient being that can control gods, literally annihilating an entire species of shapeshifting alien robot things born from nothingness and meant to devour all, and other crazy stuff. Hades even says that Pit might just be the strongest Nintendo character (He says this after the credits.)
When you're given some magical weapons and progressively make things more difficult,starting off from magikarp-weak monsters and working your way up to arceus-strong monsters giving you time to learn mistakes and get better with your weapons, of course you can do that stuffs.
Master That Guy In the first game he never even switched weapons except for the end.
Also, htf can he run so damn fast with all of them and not be able to even GLIDE or JUMP without Palutena's help
That's probably also why he was so good in that one game... you know, Super Bash Sisters! ^.^
he sacrificed flight for superdeistic power. it was also shown he could defeat magnus palutena and viridi's entire army and the 3 sacred treasures beings that are outside the influence of any deity (the aurum and the chaos kin) and possibly even dyntos, who is suggested to be the most powerful god in existence. (he can CREATE duplicates of other gods and warriors equal in power to the original and pit still beats him WITH a weapon stronger than the sacred treasures)
You forgot that Medusa turnd all the angles into stone, but forgot Pit as he was unable to fly (by him self at least). And that is why Paletina cald for Pit.

According to this Lore, Pit is more powerful than Medusa AND Palutena. Seriously, he's freaking god now.

Plants didn't require a Hospital visit in Uprising.
Plautena and Medusa's backstory sounds fairly similar to a couple of Alicorn princesses i know of XD

And you get a short summary in the beginning.

+matheus123644 True, but even so, if you're gonna make something based on something else, pleeeeeeeeeeeease make it as accruate to it as possible. Remember Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor? (Yes, I went there)
It's only based off of the myths, with links to it. Like how Legend of Zelda was based off of Peter Pan yet they are very different. It's alright to get offended at a misrepresentation of a real event but when it's drawing inspiration (it's not claiming that it's trying to recreate the myths, it's just using it as inspiration) from myths and events that never happened, it's alright to change some stuff. Nintendo used the myths as inspiration to make *it's own story*. It's not trying to be like Percy Jackson where it's recreating the myths in modern time and saying that the characters used are the same. In Kid Icarus, it doesn't say they are from the myths. Also, even stuff like Percy Jackson books gets the myths wrong where the author altered the myths to fit his story.

This is late but here go's, think about it, If Palutena wanted Pit arrested wouldn't he be put in a Skyworld prison. Pit was a skilled guard who works for her. Medusa knew this so she captured him. This is why you start the game in the Underworld. Hope this helped.

Mirror Shield was later in Zelda games. The Arrows of Light weren't around until I think OOT. Before that Link used the Silver Arrows. Pegasus Boots did appear in ALTTP though. Still one could argue, that Kid Icarus 3 weapons pre-date LOZ. However; after Myths and Monsters, the franchise went MIA until Uprising. So Zelda adopted similar weapons for it's later games during Pit's absence.

I want a Kid Icarus sequel that's a platform game instead of a shooter. But they can keep the character designs from Smash Bros. and Uprising.
Medusa banished Pit into the Underworld because he was Palutena's guard and Medusa didn't want him to rescue Palutena, but Palutena grants him special powers and a bow that help him break out of his prison.
My Band is currently working on Retro Hitz Vol 2. Only song finished right now is Starfox Corneira theme. GoldenAxe wilderness theme is our next track. Some work has begun on it, but both of us may have been side tracked by Double Dragon.. Album #2 is going to take some time to release though.

I wonder if the first iteration of Medusa was created by Hades as a spy. I mean, when we saw her again in Uprising, she had the snake head that she only received after Palutena cursed her. And like Hades said, "Add a ton of her memories to a bunch of souls. Put them in a blender, and hit frappé." Maybe one of the memories she retained was her being cursed after plaguing the land, which is why she didn't look natural like she did in the Medusa's Revenge short.
It's very different in play style though, with more focus on special moves than ring outs, and with much more focus and chaining attacks and using stage elements against Foes.

Actually, from what I can tell, Medusa threw him in there. apparently being captain of the guard (maybe he wasn't at the start of the first game, I don't know) kept him from Medusa's stone curse.

i got this. Kirby is the last voice of a certain alien race. (dont ask me) Meta Knight is some being that resembles kirby, not sure what he is. Kirby was an ancient war machine, supposed to sleep for millions of years only to wake and destroy what had been terrorizing his race, but was woken up early by his crash on popstar. very similar to the protheans of Mass Effect in some ways. If i missed something inform me please.

Epic Kid Icarus: Uprising music at the end
Every Nintendo character constantly argued which one was better, seeing how this could be resolved a being from another dimension named "Master Hand" master of all games decided to put every character in an arena to fight each other, but that wasn't enough. Master Hand wanted someone to challenge him while competing in various stages and challenges to get to him. Tabuu wanting to take over the lands for himself launches a subspace army and takes over Master Hand to command. Have Fun!
I just realized that Angel land is a lot like Angl-land which is what England was called when the anglo-saxons invaded and then settled.
No official canon for SMB, unless you're thinking of The Super Mario Bros Super Show. Then again, if the LORE team can do what they did with TMNT. I think Super Mario could be very possible.
In that specific scene, you can see Medusa's true form in the background. That being the final boss, at this point, Pit had the Three Sacred Treasures, including the Wings of Pegasus. He can fly with those.
Play Kid Icarus: Uprising. He's more of a mixture of all heroes. But when he starts breaking the 4th wall, thats just his Deadpool side showing.
Maybe for the first 2 maps... but after that they added onto the lore in every map... with BO2 (and the zombie mode that comes with it) coming out soon it would be relevant to a large chunk of subscriber base

It's the same thing. The lore is from before the start of Portal, and there isn't any new lore between Portal 1 and Portal 2, as far as I know. It would just be the same video again.
Basically, it's the lore for the Portal series, which includes Portal 2.
Don't be sad you missed 4, the only thing it was good for was filling up and creating holes in the lore. In C&C 2 they found this Scrin ship, that I think had the Tacitus inside, not sure. Cain turned out to be one of those Scrin guys from what I know, wanting to reactivate the last remaining tower in Italy to go to the Scrin homeworld, it's some tricky lore to explain.

You wake up with strong amnesia, punch some trees, mine, decide whether or not to screw with the nether, find a stronghold, and kill the enderdragon. Dome endermen then comment on your achievements.
What he was held prisoner for? He was imprisoned by Medusa in the Underworld because she's an evil person and Pit was the strongest member of Palutena's army. He was held for being good.
He's called the Eggplant Wizard and he turns you into an Eggplant, which is a veggie.

Also, Icarus his father was Daedalus, who was the most ingenius inventor of the greek, according to mythology.... he also built the maze of the minotaurus.
That's nuts! It would take much longer than 1 minute. Maybe 2, 3 tops, but a minute is overkill. They would have to speak so fast you wouldn't understand a thing.

Well, at least the Eggplant Wizard isn't as bad as he used to be, since now Palutena will heal you after a period of time.
It would be a sequel to this lore of the first game. The second game was a sort of spinoff kind of game. And the third would be Uprising the continuation of Kid Icarus (Number 1).
Medusa was just doing things right all along, there needs to be balance in the world.
The Slenderman has a hell of a lot of story actually... The game however doesn't have any lore. It just tries to capitalise (successfully) on someone else's work.
