This is Grandma from Texas. I really look forward to seeing your videos pop up on my recommendation list. I have followed you for so many years now. I love the joy in your heart when you find something you love. I’m with you on the brooches!! I have been collecting for years and I am 70😳. I am hoping my granddaughters will want them one day. I have so many and I’m sure some of them are antiques by now. I have never stopped wearing them and I am sort of known by my pins. My pins and fans. I always have a fan in my purse and just for that extra little somethin somethin I spray my perfume on my fan. If I happen to use my fan the scent of my perfume wafts gently on the air lol. My son in law tells me I’m the best dressed grandma😉. Every thing I wear these days I thrift or buy second hand. I get inspiration from you so often. I just have to remember my age😳 there are rules you know. I’m also happy you are doing your pastel Christmas again. It is my favorite as well. I have 2 houses to decorate this year as my son bought some property in south Texas with 2 houses. I think I’m going to do pastel Christmas in the cottage style house. I'm with @sharonr---I'm 73 and I'm like, "RULES??!! I don't need no stinkin' RULES!!" As Katharine Hepburn supposedly said, "If you follow all the rules, you'll miss all the fun." And I think it is great to have something that is your trademark, like brooches or a fan. Sounds like you make up your own rules & that you're an inspiration to your grandkiddos!

I agree with you about brooches on winter coats! I’m lucky to have several pieces of my grandma’s that are big, bold, blingy and definitely make a statement, and I’ve been wearing them since the 1980’s.
I fully enjoy this one. And yes I always wear a brooch on my coats' and jackets. It a great lavish look and you feel fully dressed. It's like going out without your lipstick if you don't dress your coat.

As a retired banker, I too started as a teller and I shopped thief for my work clothes. Back then you had to dress professionally & I couldn't afford to buy new. I retired after forty plus years at 71. That coat looked amazing on you. One day u will find it I love watching you and your Mom. Looking forward to Christmas.decorating. .

Selena. I love your taste in clothing. I am from Ohio, then lived in Boston. I used to own wool coats, which I adorned with brooches. Once I moved to the Portland area, I gave away my wool, due to the soggy winters. You have inspired me to look into wool coats, once again. ❤

Oh, Selena, that red wool cashmere coat is fantastic! I wear brooches on my coats & on blazers & I always get compliments. I also wear scarves, typically silk as I do not like getting foundation on my shirts, blazers or coats. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Pete & your Mom & Dad. ❤❤❤

Thank you for always including us! 💖 I was born in the 1950’s so brooches were a big deal. I managed to finagle some from various women at the time (I loved jewelry even as a kid!), then found pieces in vintage shops over the years. At some point I stopped wearing them as fun fashion touches, but you’ve now inspired me to wear them again! You looked amazing in black, btw (I live in L.A. where it’s a staple!). But, your white jacket with the lace sleeve peeking out was breathtaking. If that last jacket from your mom fits everywhere else, keep it. The sleeves are meant to be 3/4” length and very chic.

Long gloves are back in fashion. So the jacket can be worn with opera style gloves. Or long sleeve sweater that matches the colors in the jacket and then wrist or a little longer gloves. If you don't have opera length gloves and for that Jacket an art deco brooch. Love your CHANNEL FOR OVER 5 YEARS ❤

beautiful black and gold blazer and the red angora wool is gorgeous, love the side close, I have an Irish hand knit green sweater coat that looks like the way that closes and the shape. The gold and black coat has shorter sleeves because it is a 3/4 sleeve, you could still wear that. They would all be too small on me I wear 3x, love your haul!❤
