He did but he got the happiest ending: a beloved mayor who died aged 100 surrounded by his loved ones. Plus he had a gorgeous wife and loving daughters to balance things out.

I headcanon that Jerry actively allows himself to be the office's "Jerry," because he knows that if it isn't him, it'll be someone else and his self esteem is the only one high enough to take the brunt of it all
or that's he's purposefully incompetent so that he won't be promoted to another position to stay close to gale and his daughters

I think Ron Swanson was the only one that never made fun of Terry, Even though he never stopped others from doing it but still. And Chris was the only one that truly appreciated Terry.
Poor Terry, they really do give Larry a hard time. They always forget Garry could be something, if only they were nicer to Lenny. Jerry could be the Mayor of Pawnee... hahah he fell over!

I love Amy Poehler so much, but I absolutely hated how she thought making fun of Jerry was going to be funny. It literally broke my heart everytime I saw a scene with them making fun of Jerry. Bullying at its finest.

The only thing I could never approve of is how they treated Jerry on the show. But I reckon it wouldn’t be the same if they didn’t, maybe it’s one of the factors that make parks and rec such a great show. Who knows(?)

I hate how mean they were to Jerry. I don’t think the other characters are bad people, but they were immature and disrespectful in this way. It’s something that they needed to work on as people because it’s not okay.

I always cringed when everyone made fun of Jerry. He is sweet, kind and deserved better colleagues. Especially, his mural idea. It was so beautiful. He really loved the people around him.
Using sharpie on whiteboards isn’t the end of the world, all you have to do is put expo marker over the top and voila, it comes right off :)

This is the ONE thing I hate about Parks and Rec. The mean-spiritedness that takes everyone over when dealing with Jerry often breaks with their established characters. It turns into bullying, and the last time I tried bingeing this again, I realised it had been ruined for me by relentless kindness of Schitt's Creek.
Jerrys got a massive hog and a hot wife. Hes doin alright.

I love this show, but how this was a component always make me feel like a bad person. I am thankful that in the end they made sure that Jerry had the best outcome
Worst and least funny part of the show. Feels like Michael Schur lost a bet and was forced to include an awful running gag as punishment.
Why would whoever puts these Parks and Rec compilations together thinks “Everyone on Parks and Rec being mean to Jerry” was a good idea. This is the worst, most cringy, and flat out mean part of the show. This compilation seriously sucks!
You don’t have to use the word fat to fat shame. In a time when people want to “see themselves” in TV and movie characters, every time they arbitrarily belittled Jerry, I was reminded of my own struggles to be taken seriously as a heavy person. No, they never made a direct joke about his weight. But would people have responded well if they treated a black, gay, or Muslim character like they did Jerry? Sorry for the soapbox. I love almost every other part of Parks and Rec. But Jerry just makes me sigh sadly.
There’s no way you compared being over weight to being gay or being a person of color.
This is why I hate all these actors.
