Wasn't sure how I felt about going on a smaller ship than Oasis since it spoiled my family. Your videos clarifies everything for us and now wouldn't mind on cruising on Anthem. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me what sailing date this is? Btw new sub!!
Thank you for your subscription and comment and CONGRATS on reaching 1K subscribers yourself on your channel!!! This was Dec 18 2022 Holiday Sailing. Our last cruise was in August on Allure of the Seas (Oasis Class) and we most definitely loved this better than Allure!
I've watched a lot of videos lately (we are on this same ship/itinerary in march) and yours was so helpful. I have 2 kids around the same age as yours and liked seeing what you were able to do with them and as a family. Did you kids enjoy the camp? I would love it if my kids liked to go there a few times, for a mom/dad break and because I really want to experience the Solarium!
@deenasmith9193, first of all thank you for your feedback, we love it. Khiz and Eesa have tried camps on many cruise ships and I believe Anthem and Allure of the Seas were their favorite. To the point where they asked to go to the camp each night between 7-10. This allowed us Dinner and show time as a couple. The draw to the camp was the staff and the games and activities they planned for the kids. Because we hung out with the kids remaining of the day, I think they also appreciated some time around other kids doing activities. Khiz even won a Royal Caribbean hat as a prize in the camp. Going on anthem in 2 days so this video is amazingly helpful! Thank you! How was the connection on the cruise. I’m sailing out from NJ to florida and then bahamas so thinking maybe you had the same path. I would appreciate it if you can explain wifi or just overall service
Hi Gianna ASMR, thank you for your feedback. Yes we took the same ship and itinerary. If you need WI-FI, we highly recommend to purchase it now for the best price. The signal is very good in the room and around the promenade, enough to watch CZcams and surf online. I did try uploading 6GB of photos and videos and it took more than 16 hours so it was slow from that point of view.

Hi, thank you for watching our video and your feedback. The new way to do the safety briefing is very quick. When we got to our room at 1pm, we opened the app and watched a 3 minute video on safety. Then we went to the designated area where the staff was waiting for us to acknowledge in person that we watched the video. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes.
As someone who have been on 25+ cruises, this was by far the most efficient and quick experience. Not sure if other cruise companies have adapted but we have a MSC and Carnival cruise coming up this year so will post more videos of those experiences

Love your videos! We are also a family from long island with 2 boys age 10 and 8 we will be on 7 night anthem cruise Nov 5 to Nassau, Canaveral and coco Cay. Our first royal cruise after 14 Carnival cruises. My question is this. Are there 2 formal nights like Carnival Cruise? They are traditionally on the first full sea day and second to last sea day on 7 day Carnival cruise. Is the anthem the same?
Hi @ronaldmarconetto, thank you for watching and liking our videos. Nice to hear from someone from Long Island. And yes, on our 8 day cruise, there were 2 formal nights similar to Carnival. We have experienced same number of formal nights on a 7 day cruise as well.
This was our 25th cruise, 17 of those were on Carnival as well. We hope you love your experience with Royal Caribbean as much as we did. And you also picked a great ship to try Royal Caribbean. We absolutely LOVED Anthem of the Seas. Make sure to make the most of embarkation day (esp. Bumper Cars). Happy planning your cruise and hope to hear from you soon

We have done most cruises on Carnival but right now our favorite is Royal Caribbean
How long did you wait in line here? June 2022 I waited in line for 2+ hours to check in because no one did their homework ahead of time. 😮 It was worse than Baltimore. Hope it’s better this year!
Hi Amanda, in Dec 2022, we waited less than 30 mins combined in both Security and check in line. It was very quick and smooth. Sorry to hear about the long wait time you went through.

Hello, this is the wife 😉 so thank you for the compliment. We enjoyed Anthem of the Seas more than Oasis class ships (we have been on Allure of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas), very similar to Oasis of the seas. In short you can’t go wrong with either but we absolutely LOVED Anthem of the Seas for all the amenities, activities, the excellent food, and the size. Just big enough for a 7-8 day cruise. We're taking our 2 kids this weekend on anthem.how did the kids do?
First of all, Bon Voyage! Kids did great, but this was their 10th cruise so they know their way around. Overall Anthem has a lot more activities. We recommend on embarkation day, head straight to Bumper cars cause it’s empty and you can keep going on it. Hope this helps

Did you enjoy the Oasis, Anthem or Allure best?
Great question. Before Anthem we would say Allure hands down because of the neighborhoods, and just the variety of things to do and shows to watch. But Anthem was such a great experience that we have to pause and really think before we can answer. If I can book either for the same price and ports then I will book Anthem, but if ports or price is better for Oasis or Allure, then we may go to them. Short answer, Anthem has done a wonderful job with bumper cars, North Star, staff and the food quality that it’s competing with the mega ships
Does this look exactly the same with Anthem of the Sea sailing Singapore to Penang Malaysia?
Interesting question. Yes from a ship, amenities and layout perspective it should be exactly the same. The food and menu may adjust based on the sailing, the head chef and itinerary. So yes, it should look exactly as our experience
What time was your boarding time? The ship and the buffet look very empty. We have heard about long lines at the buffet during lunch day on emarkation day
@adafan495 Excellent question. We boarded the ship 11:30am and because of times entry we found the check in and boarding smooth, fast and less crowded. After hanging out in Windjammer for 2 hours, around 1:30am, a lot more tables were busy but there was still room to sit. In short, we found Anthem of the Seas one of the bests onboarding experiences we have had cruising

I had written something.... push the wrong button, and it's gone. I'm writing in regards to your wife lifting your younger son at about 9:30mn to 9;45min. Kids should never be lifted. The ships rails are made to prevent anyone from falling off, but if you lift someone, the height of that rail, is no longer safe. (a child died in Puerto Rico, off a ship, for being lifted off the floor)

Did your navigation take you to the port? If so what address did you use?
Good question, yes the navigation took us directly to the Port. We searched Google Maps for “Cape Liberty Cruise Port”, and result was 4 Port Terminal Blvd, Bayonne, NJ 07002. Hope this helps

Is it expensive to leave your car there fro a week ?
For us, it is expensive anywhere between $200-$300 but it was quick and cheaper than UBER back and forth

Parking is extra at The port. We paid ~$20 per day to park there.

Sure. We departed from Bayonne NJ on Anthem of the Seas for 8 nights to Port Canaveral Orlando, Miami, Nassau Bahamas and Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day CocoCay. We booked this cruise a year in advance and paid $2k for 4 in one Balcony Stateroom for a Holiday cruise. Hope this helps!
Does the sofa bed flip into a bed or are you sleeping on a sheeted cushion? We are doing a transatlantic as three adults so want to figure out the sofa bed comfort level.
Hi @foleyexploring, good question on the sofa bed. It’s a sofa cushion with a mattress topper on top. It’s is definitely not as Comfortable as their king bed but it worked just fine for kids. As three adults on a transatlantic, you may want to request the room attendant to double the mattress topper. Hope this helps

@foleyexploring ask for an egg crate topper for your sofa pullout bed. My son and I slept on that while my mom and aunt had the bed and it was super comfortable. It was about a 3" topper.

Hi @christinad2611 No, you drive to the parking garage, get a ticket and simply park. On your return you can either pay at a machine or just drive out and there will be people helping you with the payment at the exit gate.

It is approximately $20 per night. There is another parking garage close to this but more cheaper although their online review is bad from what we remember

Parking is paid and frankly speaking expensive. I believe we paid $250-$300 for our vacation
