Correction: Dominick Cruz was out for 700 years due to an injury, approx.
I definitely think it approximately that long.
Don’t let that distract you from the fact that Volk was 12 ft 3000 lbs
I looked it up… its true
@eddiemanson4120 That was like 900 years ago
@@ssholeLicker when he played rugby !
The Rousey, Davis headlock hip toss into bashing Davis' head in was the first thing I thought about when you mentioned her.
You've got to be the only guy who not only doesn't remember Rousey's crazy Alexis Davis win, but thinks no one else does either. LOL
I definitely remember Davis vs rousey vividly… it was the co main event of Weidman vs machida I was 13 at a Buffalo Wild Wings watching it with my step dad. Headlock, judo throw, fifteen unanswered punches.
Yeah not to mention the slam was pretty gnarly, the way Davis's ragdolled legs just whipped into the ground got me
And how she was so concussed, she tried to take down the ref.
Alexis Davis imo is Rousey's most exciting W! The overhead, knee, hip toss combo followed by like 12 hard strikes directly into the face looked like something straight out of a video game!
I was gonna say the same. Who forgot that one?
I wasn’t even a fan of MMA when that fight happened but that’s the most memorable highlight I’ve seen of Rousey which I still see get posted occasionally.
I’m surprised its considered forgettable considering how rare we see those types of hip toss finishes.
I think you’d have to go all the way back to the early days of the UFC to see something similar like when a black belt trapped their opponent in a crucifix and slammed several unanswered elbows into their temple.
I remember that one. I also remember that Davis was out from the throw, the strikes were perfunctory. Rousey wouldve won in about 8 secs if the red saw that Davis was out already.
I just remember the perfect camera angle.
Yeah I was very surprised to see that entry. It looked like an adult walking onto a playground, hip tossing a child, and super speed punching their face in a schoolyard headlock. Pretty hard to forget that!
I remember Rousey Davis. No joke. Headlock, toss, punches in bunches kind of reminiscent of Goodridge and Paul Herrera. I call bs on that one being forgettable.
I remember also😂😂 don’t know how these went under the radar
Same
I almost died when you said Giblert Melendez 🤣🤣🤣 Reebok fucked his name up 😂
I honestly remember all of these very well.
Monson trained for Sylvia’s jab by training with a mop/broom handle with a boxing glove on the end.
Rousey hurt her hand against Davis, she complained after the fight that a cyst in her knuckle ruptured during the fight.
That's only 2 of them ahaha
@@user-vr4lz1vu5z Yeah but I’m not gonna do 8 more of them.
@@jonchapman6821 then only 20% of your point has been proven.
you clearly dont remember them all
Sylvia tried to north south choke Monson, which was a waste of everyone’s time
I think one title fight that people forget often was when Wanderlei Silva fought non other than Tito Ortiz for the UFC light-heavyweight (back then the middleweight) championship after Frank Shamrock vacated the strap. Hell, Ortiz's challenge of Shamrock is highly forgotten despite it being one of the greatest title bouts in UFC history.
The UFC being petty and having personal issues with the fighters is why that fight is never mentioned
Fr that fight was great
Agree! ❤
Frank deserves to be in the HOF! He was their best champ at that time and overall is the 3rd best UFC LHW champ of all time!
The 😃on my face the second I hear Tommy's voice.
I do remember Rousey vs. Davis perfectly. I also remember when it was announced. The previous weeks there were rumors of a big fight coming for Rousey, people were even saying that Gina Carano was coming out of retirement and going to the UFC to challenge Rousey for the title. At the end it was like "OK, Rousey's next opponet is Alexis Davis", and everybody was like "Is that it?".
Rousey against Davis was always her most memorable defence for me. Bounced her head like a basketball
Maybe I’m just an MMA nerd but I exactly remembered Alexis Davis’ title shot. I was (internally) screaming “it was a head and arm throw to a side saddle punching till a tko”
Joe Soto for Dillashaw's 1st title defense.
Which basically went the same as when TJ took the title.
@@AngryJT Disagree. Soto performed better than Barao.
I still remember being upset over Jon Fitch being let go & Dana throwing a hissy fit defending his decision to let him go. Fitch was easily the #2 guy at WW, & put on a solid 5-fight win streak after the GSP loss. Yea he was a rather boring fighter, but he left the UFC being 14-3-1 cuz Dana hated him.
And he was expensive by Dana's cheapskate standards, probably making barely 6 figures. Dude even won fight of the night in his second last UFC match, so it's hard to make the boring claim, when he can still put on a show.
Worst place to be as a UFC fighter is a former champ or title challenger that will beat up a lot of the competition but everyone knows has no chance at winning the belt, or likely even regaining a title shot. They'd rather kick them to the curb, and talk 💩 about them then pay them an upper-main card wage to put L's on younger fighters' records.
As a long time hardcore MMA fan, and also a stoner... this video hit me in the feels.
Lmao
Big facts
Me too but what does the last part have to do with anything? I forgot.
I think you meant "and also a loser"
@@PrinceIsot He wants high school chicks to think he's cool.
Bro when Rousey just manhandled Davis from the start , hip toss into ground headlock to 15 unanswered shots , that was straight up unforgettable domination
Hearing Dana talk about rankings then compared to now is such a laugh though what am I saying as even then it was just for show 😂
Yeah, I remember that Ronda/Alexis fight. I thought Ronda knocked her out when Alexis' head landed on the mat, only for Ronda to knock her back into consciousness with her fists. Also, I remember the Zarmoskis/Saku fight vividly. I had just gotten an HDTV and saw part of Saku's ear explode into the crowd from that kick from Marius.
The Alexis Davis v Rousey was the one of my favorites! I was stuck at an applebee's birthday dinner and turns out the manager was a big ufc fan and put it on all TVs even in dining room not just bar. It was awesome cause I thought for sure I'd miss it never saw another ab's buy a ufc ppv ever again 😅
I do remember the Rousey/Davis fight in the sense that it was the headlock takedown to punchout fight but yes, I am guilty of not remembering who the victim was.
You guy's make me feel ok with being a long time mma fan but doesn't remember everything fan.
I feel pretty old now for that fact that I remember all of these title shots growing up as a kid.
Miguel Torres used to be such a badass... Used to love watching him fight. Then he got older and started losing.
Wish he had joined the UFC before he was too old.
Torres was a product of his time.
I took a kickboxing class Michael Mcdonald taught before he was in the ufc. Super cool & humble dude.
The one that I somehow always manage to forget is that Nate Diaz fought for the belt against Benson Henderson.
Like, it just doesn't seem right to picture a Nate Diaz title shot for some reason, especially before he became a star.
Feel like the Alexis Davis highlight was one of Rousey most replayed highlights ever kinda hard to forget
The shake my hand skit had me dying 😂😂😂
I swear the editing makes me pause and laugh out loud then when I'm done slapping my knee I press play. You guys r the best. Funckin Tommy Toehold and Luke a Taylor: best combo ever!!!!!!
omg the giblert melendez call was amazing. had to replay that to make sure i heard it right. soooooo funny
Tommy's ability to tell a story is unmatched.
Cachioeria vs The Bullet is probably one that was forgotten about and didn’t make the list lol
That fight is notorious for bad stoppage
your best list yet, god bless!
Huerta vs guida was a great fight also
Houston Alexander took Keith Jardine's MMA career with him that night at UFC 71
I can actually say I remember masvidals title shot
I remember the Fitch fight with Rory bc that was the fight when Rory started his religious stuff and that he didn't want to fight anymore
"Giblert" Melendez xD You guys will never forget this and I love it xD
I love that Rousey/Davis fight. It's another fast one, and one of the few slam KOs in UFC history.
It wasn't a slam KO...it was a punched in the head repeatedly KO
@@dr.loomis4221 It's been a while since I rewatched it, but my recollection was the punches were academic and the throw knocked her out.
I remember the alexis davis fight specifically and only because I remember the monday after in my home room someone said "she lasted longer than I would have with ronda" and everyone cringed in unison
Not an easy watch. Solid entry. TTH brings the unexpected (plus all the crüe that made a thought about a thing become something real) i love it.
I don’t remember the Ronda fight but I have seen that clip of her finishing so many times and that’s crazy I couldn’t remember!
I’ve been saying “Giblert” Melendez for years man it made me so happy to hear you say it
Great video brother!
My favorite forgotten title fight was Renan Barao vs Dominick Cruz' repeated injuries. Barao somehow managed to eek out the victory.
I do remember the moment of rousey v Davis, it was the first time I saw Ronda fight, actually the first time I saw a women’s mma bout. That’s when I got interested in judo, because of the perfect judo throw
I remember the Alexis Davis KO very well. Rhonda knocked her out 3 times before the ref stepped in. Crazy!
I actually remember a year ago i was arguing with someone on CZcams about whether Alexis Davis was KOed by the throw or the followup shots 😂
I remembered like 3 of these 💪
10:35 I love that you said Giblert. That's what I always call him.
The mad lads actually put the Monson clip in
tommy you are the best !
i honestly remember that rousy finish really well! it was the first time seeing her fight for me
Oooo happy Sunday morning y’all!!!
Those drums at the beginning go hard
Great video, please make a top 10 tuf coaches challenges
I remember the de fries duffee fight, only because i've seen the first fight few days before
Yeah youre right i forgot all about Davis and Rousey 😂
I like how you sneak things into these videos like Giblert lol
I’m glad you got Giblert Melendez name right. Thank you
OMG you had me at the facts of knowing every fight roster tip to tip in the middle 00 's lol
The Alexis Davis fight is the first ever Ronda Rousey fight I saw. So that’s first one I usually always think about 😂
Always loved Clay Guida in the UFC. A gate-keeper for sure, but always willing to take a fight. His energetic style is just plain fun to watch.
I love that "Giblert" Melendez reference hahaha
Was having my morning toke when that Robbie Lawler Iowa clip came on. Fucking geeked me. Thank you editor whoever
Finally! A decent video.
There are probably a lot of newer fans here but ive been watching mma forever and remember all of these except for Guida. Some other title fights people probably forgot about are Jeremy Horn vs Chuck liddell and Evan tanner vs Tito Ortiz. Or maybe even Tito himself against Frank Shamrock
I wouldn't say that most fans may have forgotten about the examples you cited, so much as they weren't even watching MMA when those fights took place. I remember them all vividly, but I have them on VHS/DVD to this day! 😁👍
@@Fluoride_Jones yea your right.
Tommy you sly dog. Love the Giblert sneak. 🤣🤣🤣
I remember the Davis fight because that dude made that woodcut animation "Gone in 16 Seconds"
Man clay is a different type of man like its amazing hes still going
Alexis Davis was in every Ronda hype video back when she was super famous
Do top 10 unlikely comeback wins: like Bektic vs Elkins or Pettis vs wonder boy ❤
100% remembered that hiptoss + punches from Rousey!
It was on way too many ufc promos from 2015-16 lmao glad thats over
3:53 Hollllllllllyyyyyy cow!! I didn't recognize Cormier at first glance at all!!!! He looks like a world beater right here!!
That Gibb-lert Melendez vs Masvidal fight was insane
I remember that rousey vs alexis davis cause it was the days where vines were a thing an it was running joke her whole fight was the time of a vine.
I remember the Alexis Davis/Rousey fight. Me and all my buddies watched it at a casino bar in Reno.
I remember way back when Tank Abbott had the featherweight strap and 2 Sean O’Malleys challenged him. What a bout. Tokyo was never the same
the crazy thing about the rousey vs davis one, is i see that clip everywhere
Giblert Melendez is my favorite mythical fighter
There are no such thing as casual MMA on point fans. This is a religion 😂
I remember how Rousey-Davis went. I just forgot that it was Alexis Davis. Crazy the fight before that, she TKO'd Nunes.
the sara mcmann fight is the one for me I remember the davis fight bc I believe it was the 2nd shortest title gight during that time
Jon Fitch was not released from the UFC after a single loss to Hendricks. He then had a fight with Erick Silva that he won, but then lost to Demian Maia, after which he was cut. Still a pretty ridiculous cut if you ask me, since Hendricks was on horse steroids, and Demian is a legend.
Not lying, I actually came across a reel the other day about the Rousey vs Davis fight lol
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the Giblert jokes
As someone who got into mma January last year, I remembered all of these. Make a better list.
I actually knew all of these except for the last one!
Man Todd Duffee had a weird career, I remember seeing him come in and KO Tim Hague and thinking he was gonna be a force and being shocked that the UFC released him after one loss.
The main thing I remember Todd Duffee for was how hilariously he would KO'd 😂
@@madgavin7568 bruh when Mir ko'ed him, he dropped like he was shot
The Rousey Davis victory was actually the first one I named
LMFAO😂😂 "When ge got to Challenge GiBlert Melendez"
6:07 I imagine that's the type of staredown Grasso is gonna get. Really can't wait. Still crazy it's on a fight night
Alexis Davis getting punched in the face a lot gets a pretty prominent cut in the Napoleon Blownaparte video on her trainer, Edmond Tarverdyan. That would be why it might be fresher than expected. I sure didn't remember it, but I remembered that finish. It's almost comical.
How could people forget that Ronda match. That card was great and the main event was a banger fight as well. I remember Joe trying to get Ronda to agree to a short notice fight for the next card during the post fight interview.
Clay Guida is the homie. I see him all the time because he is from my hometown. I’ve met him like 10 times and he’s genuinely the nicest/coolest person ever.
I hope he mentions the :16 fight between Rousey and Alexis Davis where Rousey tossed Davis then punched her in the face a bunch of times…
i kid you not the first ronda highlight that came to my head was her finish against davis
I remembered most of these. Kinda surprised Duffee was added that fight earlier this year
when i saw the title i knew monson would be on it
Giblert Melendez…that’s a deep cut. 😂
