My journaling paper go-to is a Rhodia A5 wirebound notepad. I alternate between writing with several different woodcase pencils, mechanical pencils, and fountain pens.

At a first glance when I saw your username, I was expecting to see a spam comment about how you can save money on auto insurance.
God bless you for having the time to actually sit down and journal, instead of handling your children's leaving of their crap all over the house, cooking dinner, cleaning the detritus of daily existence... okay, substitute "my" for "your." And I do agree with the earlier poster who suggested tighter miking of the pencil scraping. Just saying.

What keyboard do you have? Did you make it yourself?
It's a Magicforce 68 with Kaihl Blue switches. I didn't make it but I did source the keycaps, which are a mix of cheap Chinese laser prints and some vintage 1990s Leitch Editor Keycaps. I have a plan on the back burner to build my own KB with Box Navy switches.

Hi y'all! Just wondering what your opinion is about pocket notebooks that are DiY'd/handbound? I tend to make my pocket notebooks to save on money (and as an aspiring artist, I like the option to have different GSM paper and elastic to hold it in place).
This is only the second video I've seen (besides the one from Rixcandoit) to show the BW pencil roll on camera. Could you please do a video review of it?
Also this video would have been much better filmed in macro without background noise so that we could hear the silbiance of the pencil against the paper. Much more ASMR that way 😁
That sounds like an idea! I was sitting down to write my journal and thought it might be interesting for folks to see it. Next time I'll do a full mic'd up version with nice audio, this was literally turn on the camera and write!

Just for curiosity, how long does it take you to finish a pencil?
I swap a lot, but roughly 1-2 a month if using constantly. Faster if I keep the point really sharp
