Those women and men who are building the walls WHILE the eruption spews lava all around them are the definition of bravery. They're operating machines that are BARELY faster than the lava! Stay safe, and show the world what it means to take care of each other when faced with a massive threat like this.
Agreed!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you 🙏🏾🤗
I am *so sorry* for everyone's losses; and hope the pets and other animals can be saved. 😢
Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you for this. I hope all are safe and have deep empathy for those whose losses continue to occur. My old home got swallowed up by Pele in the 2018 Kilauea eruption. It's a traumatic experience while also awe-inspiring. The best of humanity emerges during such collective crises. Sending tons of love and aloha from Hawaii island! 💖
Wow, so sorry that happened to you, and thank you for sharing your experience. ❤
Be safe, Jewels, and thank you for the information.
Thank you and you’re welcome 🙏🏾❤️
I appreciate your updates as a local. I saw an update from a family who was losing their home and they had a wheelchair bound child. Hoping that everyone gets out safely with their animals and that Iceland takes care of everyone. Please keep us updated when you can. We barely hear anything about the active volcanoes in Hawaii & Italy. Stay safe, friend!
My husband has family that were living in Grindavik. They will not be returning. Their house was destroyed by the earthquakes
I’m so sorry to hear that. 💔
So sorry to hear that - sending warm thoughts and prayers.
Grindavik is no longer safe...outside the lava, the idea that 30 meter deep sinkholes and cracks can open up right under your house, is very unsettling!!!!
Agreed
Thank you for the update and information. Glad you are safe. My heartbreaks over how many are affected by all of this. I can't get over the bravery of those trying to help and building the walls. I hope those people are safe and the walls work by holding back the lava.
I saw that. They are working so hard.🥺
Thank you, Jules, for the update and inside information. Heart goes out to the beautiful and resilient Icelandic people. Stay safe and keep us informed. ❤❤❤
hello , so sorry , for all of the loss......all of the very best to all , be safe❤❤❤❤❤...................
Thank you 🙏🏾❤️
The Cracks/Fissures/Sinkholes that are continually appearing in Grindavik worry me, as it makes it very dangerous to live in.
Keep safe and prayers are with you all in Iceland.
I hope to visit Iceland someday! Mother Earth has her moments, and this is sad to see. Those people are so brave to build these walls during an active volcano! Thank you for the updates. ✌🏾💜
Thank you for the update. Please stay safe.
You are a great source of information thank you for sharing. I will pray that everyone stays safe and this comes to pass soon . So sorry this is happening.
Thank you Jewels for taking the effort.
We actually heard of it yesterday! My husband's friend told us about it. I hope everyone was able to evacuate.
Heard about this yesterday and thought of you. You and your friends stay safe.
Hopefully the residents were able to remove the most important items. it's heartbreaking to lose everything that holds memories.
I really can’t believe what could mean watch your house been destroyed I really feel sorry for that owners …😔♥️
We’ve seen many volcanic eruptions in Iceland in the last decade, but the scenes of this one looks like the destructive eruption in Hawaii. Is the worst economic eruption in Iceland’s recent history?
Hey Jewells where’s the link to donate
You please 🙏 be careful 🙏 it's seem in the last year Iceland had two volcano 🌋 eruption ( I think 🤔) I'm I right?
What about the people who are displaced?
The government has temporary housing but they need to figure out a long term solution.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Never mind I found it thanks
ég veit að fólk er búið að spurja þetta áður, en hvernig er það sem svart kona á Íslandi?
Kind of interesting when the eruption is over before your video is even posted
It wasn’t over when I posted this but was fading. Also, land has been rising at Svartstengi which could mean another fissure opens up.
