      @@inkandpistonsHi, great work finding alternative parts possibilities, one note though, if not done already, when you go to change the spring's,..
      Please paint the drilled out holes in the chassis topmounts to try and prevent future rust there, and of you could use a tiny little bit of a grease smudged into the each mount's bolt holes around the bolt to hole gap with a cocktail stick,
      .. before the washer and bolt'a nut are eazh placed on top and torqued down to remove any space for air or water to be trapped by the wahser and the threadlocked nut.🤗😅
      Also maybe get your alignments double checked & adjusted as well since you did have to drill out the bolt holes slightly.

      The new heavier front Silvia springs could be used as rear springs if you envisage using the mini/super-carry van as a frequent passenger vehicle, perhaps ?

    Very good video and many thanks for the information! Lots of info in Japan about the S13 conversion, but not too much here. I am considering the Spiegel coilovers on my Every, as it is a front and rear set. However, like your S13 ones, the spring rate is too stiff....So, I will probably have to buy softer springs as well......Glad this fixed your death wobble!
    Actually, I was very happy to see the Esteem brake conversion! I have been waiting for someone to show it in detail. Thanks! Did you replace the wheel bearings with new or just re-use the Every ones? Again, great video👍

    • @inkandpistons
      @inkandpistons  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Oh awesome I haven't been able to find front and rear for the speigles. I have a set of 5k springs on order from Max speed. Better then 8k but may still be too stiff. I might even be able to flatten the end out and use the stock spring. At least I know the rate is good on that one. Yeah the brake conversion was easy peasy other than the caliper position. I reused the bearings after I checked them out they looked almost new just lubed them up good and went with it..

      @@inkandpistons Good morning sir. Quick question....Your wheels do not rub on the van body, correct? I am trying to measure fitment for wheels that I am buying for my Every.....Thank you!

    • @inkandpistons
      @inkandpistons  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@florida__jack well define rub.. lol, no not really. So there is a slight rub on the left wheel on the mud guard full lock wheels pointed to the left but only in reverse backing up. And an even less slight rub full lock right going forward. Very very minimal.. it actually happened on the stock shocks and new coils.. but with stock shocks the would rub on front side at the part that wraps under the body.. again very minimal. I think how much weight in the car would effect it.
      the truck with the same suspension setup doesn't rub at all anywhere..
      I have a video when I put the wheels on (I think it's called living with a kei truck 10 pros and cons) that has all the wheel and tire specs.. But I believe they are 15x8 plus 20 offset with a 195 45 15 tire.. double check that video

      Glad the brake to helped.
