In this video, we'll be discussing the Aoyama is Quirkless theory, and I'll explain how I was convinced that the more likely theory is this amazing Aoyama Quirk Exchange theory! Did All for One give Aoyama his quirk!? Let's talk about it!

Here's another theory for you: Monoma can permanently steal All For One.
Think about it. He copies All For One, uses the copy to steal the original, and when the copy fades he still has the original which has now moved to him.
And then you could kill Monoma
he would probably draw a blank like he calls it or one of the many quirks afo has lol
If he could think up that plan...
But all for one is too fast
We know that Monoma can copies the basic quirk, only that, We are given two examples of how this works:
1. Monoma copies Fat Gum quirk, but Monoma has no body mass, therefore the quirk is Useless
2- Monoma copies One For All, but one for all is nothing but the quirk to accumulate power, with time therefore, Is worthless
Also Monoma tried to copy Eri's quirk, but was unable to use it cause her quirk also seems to need an accumulation of energy.
So, If he managed to copy All For One, he would only get the ability to steal Quirks, as while that quirk accumulates energy, the accumulation on itself is the quirk, so he would indeed would be able to steal Quirks, and yes, eventually steal the main AFO
But that would only be able to stop AFO from stealing Quirks, not from Using all the stolen Quirks, so unless AFO Can mass steal too, Monoma would get killed quite quickly
The belt could have a tracker, too, which is how they knew the summer camp location.
Vert nation I agree. Even in the season 1 training I think?
You just blew my mind.
Aoyama is the UA traitor. I always thought he was a bit fishy.

I think aoyama meant he's different because of his personality. He doesn't act like most kids. He's weird and he was probably picked on for it with not that many friends. Even at u.a. Deku seems to be his closest friend and was still freaked out by aoyama sometimes. The cheese was weird
I've considered Aoyama being an unwitting traitor, with the belt (which WASN'T built by the trusted UA support companies) serving as a beacon and listening device for AfO
Aoyama know who is the traitor, but im guessing he is not him or THEM
@@jerryramos2432 um earlier in the video he explained that all for one will give quirks away and expect a favor in the future. What if Aoyama's parents gave him the location to the camp but made a deal that they wouldnt harm their son, which is why Dabi decided to ignore him when he was hiding in the bush. I think he just depended on his belt to much and was never able to develop his quirk the way other were able to.
Quirks on MHA world is like sickness in our world, just like what Chisaki called it.
Some born with quirks that dont fit in their bodies. Just like Aoyama and Dabi
@@jerryramos2432 sex
That makes perfect sense because a quirk is meant to fit with the body of its user, right? Remember when Aoyama tells Deku in the manga, “You’re just like me. Your quirk doesn’t suit your body.” I BELIEVE IT. Im starting to suspect that he’s the traitor even more
Andrew Bowman that’s not really true, Dabi’s quirk doesn’t suit his body at all, hell he almost killed himself using it so yes theres a possibility that some people have quirks which are inconvenient to them
You could probably say that from Momo too, as she could just get ridiculously thin if she used hers too much
Dabi's case is different,he has a body made to an ice type quirk but he has a fire type quirk so the fire burns himself, momo's case is just a limitation to her power, ayoama is like the was not born with the quirk,of the three you talked only him needs to use an item to use his quirk
@@enzosantos2 hmm still the body dosent support the quirk eksdee
Andrew Bowman nah Debunked Aoyamas gets stomach aches from over using his quirk just like how Grape head bleeds from over using his or in other cases Tokoyami can’t control his quirk in full darkness

This comment makes me see a future scenario where the students are fighting a supervillain and being beat. So Aoyama tears off his belt and dumps full force into the villain to buy time

I've always thought that Aoyama was promised that if he would be the UA traitor he would be given a new quirk that was less harmful to his body than his original quirk. Perhaps his Rich parents bought a quirk for their son, but if they continue service and provide good information than he would be given a better Quirk later. Maybe his crummy quirk that hurts his body is the gateway drug and he is promised a better one of he helps All for One.
dudeee i thought the same when i read the video title
nightterror007 Maybe I wouldn’t call the laser quirk “crummy”, (in fact I think Aoyama might have even picked it because of his whole “sparkle” complex), but I think it’s easy to assume that when someone is gifted a physical attack quirk like that that their bodies could in no way be prepared or adapt to it, maybe it’s just one of the drawbacks of a gifted quirk
The way this theory was an exact bullseye to what ended up happening
If the Aoyama Family traitor theory pans out, that would be another way MHA stands apart from typical story telling tropes
true
....Aoyama is half Japanese, the reason he’s not like everyone else is that he doesn’t look Japanese in a pretty homogenous culture. I’m a 1/4 I lived there for a while and while it’s fine when your older and in a city or large town that’s use to foreigners, it sucks to be a little kid in a small town.
It’s odd to think that would be a thing in a culture consisting of many many quirk users, a large portion of those having some visible mutation that makes them stand out far more than the racial traits we are familiar with.
Cangel Tibon I mean this is an anime... There are literally characters with blond hair and blue eyes who are fully Japanese so him being half probs have nothing to do with it, not too mention that there are literally people who are dogs and cats in this universe blending in wouldn't be that hard. the only characters that I could really call Japanese are Momo, inasa, that wielding guy etc.
My friend is half japanese and when she lived in tokyo as a kid she was bullied, and in literally any other anime that might be the case . However It would be kinda silly seeing as there are literally people with dog heads and sentient slime people.

To be honest, I never really gave this theory much thought. But now, I think it's a possibility.
"why am I so different from everybody else". I wonder if the reason why ayoma liked deku was because they where both qurikless but got their quriks from afo and ofo
Bro even the manga readers got spoiled this time
You'd think his rich parents would accept something better than navel laser for their child
I just love how he says hit it before the intro starts
I think this is a crazy theory, but still super interesting and thought-provoking. I don't think he's apart of the traitor theory, but I think it's definitely possible he used to be quirkless considering the connections he makes with Deku in the manga.
Also this doesn't necessarily relate to the theory, but I just realized Aoyama's glasses in his hero suit are like All Might's hair when he's transformed. Kind of like how Deku had a similar design in his first suit.
Hey man, can I borrow your time machine?

@@boiman851 no that would be terrible writing i think that horikoshi is better than that
Before you comment trying to debunk this by saying "Well how come Ochako has an upset stomach!? DID SHE GET HER QUIRK FROM AFO!?"
The difference is that Aoyama is literally allowed to bring is belt to events that don't allow the students to use support items, because he gets special permission to do so. His belt is the ONLY reason he's able to be part of the class, and this makes him different from everyone else, because everyone else can use their quirks efficiently enough that their drawbacks are minimal at this point.
That comes with training your quirk and using it and getting experience with it and pushing your limits. You get better at dealing with your weakness and minimize it, until your drawbacks are so small that they vanish because that's how manga and anime work.
Well with Aoyama, we don't see that. He's as bad at using his quirk as when he gets the belt in the first place, and that's evidenced by the fact that he still needs the belt at all. It isn't just that he gets stomach aches when using his power that makes it suspicious, it's the fact that he NEEDS the belt at all that makes it suspicious.
He has less control over his quirk than DEKU, who was literally given his quirk, what, maybe a month at max before actually entering UA? It doesn't make sense how Aoyama has had his quirk ALL THIS TIME, and still has to rely on the belt because his quirk is unusable otherwise. Dabi's quirk isn't unusable otherwise. Ochako's isn't. Nobody elses is.
This is why there WAS a Aoyama is quirkless theory. The Quirk Exchange theory is simply the more plausible theory, because it DOES at the very least seem like Aoyama DOES have a quirk, and it isn't just some laser beam coming from the belt.
So stop commenting about people having quirks that aren't suitable for their bodies. We know that, this obviously is different than that because Aoyama is far behind where he should be, even when compared to a character who got their quirk a week ago.
Not to mention he was one of the first few charters shown in this story. Hm, makes you think.
Facts
Quirk switch?
Duh. Man that’s the only story possibility for the character. His betrayal would make the best story for the traitor
You know, if the theory is true then this theory also shows how they were able to figure out about Deku. If the Dr. and AFO know all the kids who are born quirkless they can monitor them for potential blackmail opportunities, as you point out, but they would also know if a quirkless kid suddenly got a power quirk and applied to UA.
Hello. I. Am. From. The. Future.

In all honesty 2 years ago when I watched this I started being cautious on aoyama's action and because of you I really believed that he's the traitor. Now that it's been confirmed I'm so happy that I believed you're prediction.
Ok, the belt is a tracking device and recorder CONFIRMED! HE was the traitor all along!
Mental_Anomaly 9 is this true? 😱
That would make sense cuz they wouldn't even think about checking his belt because he says he needs it to use his quirk
NOOO I love aoyama

@@belugas4life785 yes it has now
Mabey he's like Scott Summers (Cyclops from X-men) , he cant control his optic blasts from his eyes, which is why he wears the special eye thing...mabey Aoyama's quirk is similar to Scotts mutant ability, which is why he wears the belt all the time.
WORD FOR WORD BAR FOR BAR
I was always under the impression that Aoyama’s quirk was unusable without the belt and that it acted as a sort of focus
I like the theory that Aoyama's parents might have bought him a quirk from AFO as a child, but I don't think it's a big mystery as to why Horikoshi would include a character like this. Horikoshi uses his characters as ways to flesh out his world, providing many various examples of different ways people with quirks try to function in society. Quirks seem to be some kind of mutation or random factor, so they can be unpredictable. A lot of villains were born with quirks that weren't compatible with living peacefully, etc. I don't think it's out of the question for someone's quirk to not be fully formed or have the real-life equivalent of a developmental disability. In this sense, the belt wouldn't be a support item as much as an accessibility item (so he can go about his daily life without his laser leaking). It'd be cool if this linked back into the plot, but I'm fine with Aoyama just being another example of how various people live in the world, too!
fatalfeline Woah I agree, maybe his laser even spurts out spastically throughout the day like Tourette’s?

HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
You madlad... you were completely right.
WELL THIS AGED PERFECTLY
2 years ago and correct
I feel like Aoyama in this situation should/is the traitor because lets say he was young and thought that AFO was a good person, so once he's old enough to go to UA, he was instructed to get information from the inside i.e using commotion during lunch from the reporters. But when the new covered AFO vs All Might due to his time at UA and his connection to All Might/ his friends a seed of doubt is planted in his mind that eventually causes him to reveal himself and switch sides to the hero side
He can't keep getting away with this
Coming back from the recent chapter and guess what, that theory is correct!
I would also draw a nice parallel if the Doctor/Deku's original quirk theory turns out to be true.
Deku being born with a quirk, having it stolen by AfO
Aoyama being born quirkless, being given a quirk by AfO
Oh my god, you're right
This actually makes more sense, in my theory too. That Aoyama may not know where his quirk came from, may have just thought he was a late bloomer of sorts. But That he doesn't know that he is really the traitor, in that he calls a family member and keeps them informed with basic stuff. Which does happen to lead to his location and the class. But also the device itself could just be the beacon, to a villian.
I need afo being dekus dad theory to come true next now
....Coming back to your video after the reveal. Holy Fuck dude you're amazing!

ToSmoke FromSeed it isent confirmed that Dabi is touya but as much I want it to be true we have to wait for hori to reveal dabis true identity
What's really helping me see this as the real deal is that strange arc when aoyama was stalking deku and the strange way he was acting during the license exam
This aged very well
I’m speechless good job man 💪🏾 you really did great
Now that you mention it. I wonder if it could've been possible foreshadowing for Dabi and possibly the Dabi is a Todoroki Theory. Last chapter confirmed the fact that Dabi's flames burn his skin, so it's safe to assume that he too has a quirk not suited to his body. (I mean, why else would his burn if his body if it was suited to his quirk like Endeavour or Todoroki?) It's possible the same could be said for Aoyama. Doesn't disprove the theory in the video or anything. I just found that rather interesting foreshadowing on the part of the manga.
i always thought that the blue flames could have been some sort of quirk upgrade from AfO as they can reach temperatures far hotter than normal flames like the other todorokis beyond what their bodies can handle
It's also thought that if Dabi has the same parents as Todoroki then its possible that he may have inherited a fire quirk similar to his father but also inherited his mothers weakness to fire. This theory hinges completely on his relation to the Todorokis.
same with kaminari. his quirk has really bad drawbacks.also bakugo cant use his quirk at its absolute strongest point.or else his muscles will tear appart. any quirk really doesnt suite the body unless they train and perfect their body like deku did.
You got it right you hit the nail on the head
yall too smart
Can we talk about how fire the thumbnails are! Keep up the spectacular work Pineapple!
Its you😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Lol
Jk
Given that we know that some quirks manifest right after birth and that it is possible that a quirk can manifest some time after the typical age.
Nobody seems all that incredulous that Deku manifested a quirk a decade after he was determined to be quirkless, so why not assume Ayoama also developed his quirk late?
I don't read the manga but Atsushi just twitted and HOLY SHIT IT WAS 1:1 RIGHT ABOUT IT, BROTHER
Aged like fine wine
If Aoyama is actually quirkless... this just further tells me Deku really didn't need to worry so much about getting into U.A. without All Might.
Especially after seeing how well regarded the support course is or how general studies students have shots at getting into the hero course.
If Deku just found a workout routine and kept honing his technique studies... he may have had a longer road ahead of him but I'm certain he could've become a hero. Maybe not the number one hero... but a hero. And a popular one.
So mini Saitama
Deku had the right profile for getting into Support, If you can apply into Hero Course being quirkless, you probably can apply into the Support Course without mechanic expertise
While we are on Aoyama theories I think that he saw Allmight transform at the usj (hence why his location was secret) and knows that deku knew about allmight and may have pieced together the facts just like Bakugou did. Aoyama may feel a genuine comraderie with deku and basically telling deku his life story after his cheese message was just a way to get closer. Deku's reaction to his surprise just meant that deku did not really understand what aoyama meant when he "knew" so aoyama was dismayed.
As for Dabi not attacking him at camp, I think that was Dabi's own conscience at work. Seeing Aoyama cowering may have made Dabi take pity on him, likewise if Aoyama was the traitor than why would he even bother hiding.
note remember that it could have been his parents being the traitors and aoyama being unaware of his parents actions
@@adityasundaram3602 wooooooah
Also if he was a traitor, won't Dabi have known and reacted? Also he won't have been scared of the league. I agree with you
U called it, you absolute chad
If being quirkless...and then suddenly gaining a quirk is the common-ground justifying a (self-harming quirks) background-type. Then Dabi also must have been quirkless too- Using this logic.
If you can't agree on that point. Then this theory is incredibly weak and on shaky grounds.
Aoyama definitely empathizes with Deku's situation (needing arm-braces and leg-braces from support items). Since Aoyama probably had to come to terms with at a much younger age and thinks that maybe Midoriya might be struggling emotionally about the (seemingly) embarassing need for support items. Similarly to kids learning they need teeth-braces installed, or a pair of glasses!
Internally Mentally projecting: Is something wrong with me? I'm so pathetic I need this or that to function... pathetic. etc...
Aoyama is simply showing his support to Izuku, and he's finally verbalizing his own self-doubts. Assuming Izuku, was born with his self-damaging quirk similar to his own. (Since only Bakugou knows the truth about One for All).
Just like Midoriya inspires Uraraka and Iida. Aoyama is also inspired by Izuku.
Thinking; "Here's another student who has a self-harming quirk, that needs support items too! I'm not as wierd as I originally thought I was! I can be a hero too, if he can!" - Inspiration track.
Endeavor eludes to his quirk being dangerous to its user, even with proper training. Saying none of his children were able to achieve his level of ability, that their bodies weren't able to keep up with him. The idea of one's quirk being fake if it harms its user is also false based on several discussions of "the singularity " in quirk evolution.
