All For One's goal is to be a great, powerful, generic villain. He wants to create chaos and conquer because he likes being an evil villain. Being a villain is fun for AFO which is why he stopped reading the Captain Hero comic book he and his brother, Yoichi Shigaraki, read together. Out of boredom, All For One became a powerful villain and wants to transform the world into the world he read about in the Captain Hero comic book series. He got his wish as the rise of quirks gave birth to the Hero Society where many outcasts and criminals were dubbed as villains. We can see this mindset in Tomura as he loves playing video games like League of Legends. Tomura somewhat sees the world as a game at first. However, Tomura changed and took the world seriously as he adopts the radical ideologies of AFO, Stain, Destro, and Oji Harima (unknowingly). AFO also wants to reunite with his brother.
If I'm not mistaking, I think that in vol. 31 there was an extra that said that AFO killed all OFA users except for the 4th. If anything he might have killed Yoichi, but maybe by accident?
Thats possible I still think it could have been the result of yoichi having 2 quirks on top of his body already being weak.

I also thought of this when they introduced the vestige world. Bringing out the small conversations was really good. I think like you said they might have some significance
I think there is definitely more to AFO than what we know on the surface we just haven't gotten to those specifics just yet. I'm sure horikoshi will deliver.
@@Kidoroki I feel an unexplored aspect of why AFO want's OFA is that besides it's impressive offensive power OFA effectively keep the vestiges of their owners alive so having OFA and AFO merge into a single quirk could effectively mean AFO can far more effectively become an immortal with his power infinitely growing as he forcefully passes himself along and possesses more and more individuals.
Makes sense, though Yoichi's death could be an accident, like if Afo tried to kill Yoichi's friend, but hit Yoichi accidently. It would still count as death by afo.

I would like to see how afo became evil and if helis family had something to do with it. If he was part of the first gen of meta humans, perhaps he was used for his family selfish needs and broke apart from if to do it himself or he was ridiculed by the people without meta powers since meta humans would be considered freaks and since afo could take multiple quirks it would be harsher on him and that's what triggers his motivation for become the demon lord over the world.

Thats would be an interesting way to show how he became the way he is. But for me its kinda been implied that he was always just twisted. Like how it was stated that he didn't even bother to finish reading that comic book because he knew that it was going to end with the hero winning and how he didn't like that.
@@Kidoroki Yes, but back on his day everyone who had a quirk was discriminated against. Also, just like AFO himself said, morals vary from culture to culture. He also disagreed with Yoichi, when the latter said the villain always loses at the end. Maybe it wasn't the actual fictional story he disliked, but the fact that reality isn't as bright and simple as that comic. In the scene when Yoichi and AFO where talking, AFO said "I have success. Reality has turned just like in the comics", while he knew exactly the hero of the story won at the end, so he pretty much called himself a hero.
I agree! AFO looking for his little brother is part of his main objective! In fact, I always had this other theory, that AFO's little brother might appear during the final battle! Maybe he lends Deku a hand or maybe, it's AFO's little brother who actually defeats him. I always love that sibling rivalry concept! Just like Shoto and Touya, just to name one. ONE THING that does scare me about this idea, I just pray and hope Horikoshi doesn't pull the "bad guy becomes a good guy" cliché. Like if, AFO's little brother talked him into being a good guy and realizing his actions are wrong cliché. I mean, we're talking about AFO, the man of evil, ever since the beginning of the series, a man who manipulated many people, took hostages, causes of many lives and the man of evil who wants to become the DEMON LORD! I can't even imagine making AFO sympathetic! I just don't want that! And I'm really sick of that cliché! AFO suits the evil main antagonist character perfectly! The embodiment of evil! PLEASE Horikoshi! Please don't pull the "bad guy becomes a good guy" cliché at the end.
I agree All For One looking for his young brother Yoichi is the reason he will kidnapped Deku after his fight against Tomura and he will also merged with Tomura after he abducted Deku to Space
I don't think we have to worry too much about AFO switching sides. In the past yoichi tried and failed so I dont think yoichi would be capable of doing it now. I think afo will stay evil till the very end and only shigaraki has the chance of switching sides.

that's really interesting...I honestly really like this theory! Kind of humanizes AFO without changing his character in a cheezy or unrealistic way.
I'm glad you got what I was going for in the theory. I dont think AFO will ever be capable of being good.
I also want to say and add to this theory that AFO (or shigaraki controlled by afo during season 6 /war arc) was constantly saying "Little Brother". I think there's 1 other thing to add, it's that he doesn't say little brother with other ofa users (All might, shimura ect) but only when deku the final and most powerful ofa user is alive. I think that his theory that Yoichi is alive through ofa's consciousness also adds to my little theory that Yoichi's consciousness grows as the power becomes more stronger. Ik my words are a little confusing but bare with me here 😅.
I agree with you theory and I like hope that this is the case cuz it would just add to AFO character.
I totally forgot that users who have 2 or more Quirk's gets the life shorten and this could be what kill his brother.
But what I thought was that maybe his brother died by accident.
And maybe even by one off AFO followers.
I would love a scene where AFO get to know that his brother died and it was one of his own men who killed him by accident.🎅
Great discussion! I’ve been coming up with a “mega theory” about AFO and it somewhat touched on a similar concept! It’ll be really interesting to see why AFO is trying to get OFA. Keep up the work

*What if One for All users instead of fighting All for One will train One for All to full potential?*
The strongest punch has force around 800 psi, if *Yoichi* ( *1st User* ) started training his body to fully trained athlete or "hero" at the beginning of quirks instead of focusing on All for One, then *2nd User* will have a hard start but, it will give his individuality (or at that time "Meta ability") more powerful boost at the cost of shorter lifespan, then the *3rd User* will have a much more harder start then Him but a much more powerful boost to his "Meta Ability", and then when the *4th User* will have his "turn" He will live a much shorter, but will train OFA anyway to his potential anyway, and then *5th User Dajgoro Banjo* will have a such a boost that it will be a much harder to "control" OFA with his quirk that it will costs him his own life!
*En the 6th User of OFA* will have a much harder start then Dajgoro because OFA this time will be harder to control and master + He's lifespan is very much shorter too, but a power of OFA is that powerful as All Might at his bronze or silver age!
*Nana Shimura the 7th User of OFA* will have a shorter start and time then En! She will focus to train OFA to full potential too! Her fully trained power is that powerful as All Might at his *PRIME* !
And *All Might the 8th User of OFA* will have a same start as Midoriya, but will learn how to use a OFA to his body much earlier, and every step without control OFA will shake all Japan! His power at his *PRIME* is a power when Midoriya will be at his *PRIME* !
When there is the next "turn" of the "last" *9th User Izuku "Deku" Midoriya* He will not only have a *MUCH HARDER START* but will learn thanks to Yoichi full cowling much earlier and He's max. power his body can handle will be "decreased" to 3%! so his time to learn and control will be so short.
When there is a fight with Bakugou his power increase from 3% to 6% but is much *harder* ! When it comes to his fight with Overhaul his power increased from 6% to 15%! so his punches are as powerful as All Might at his training.
After His training with Endeavor his power increased again from 15% to 35%! + New quirk Black Whip become much harder to control and master.
After and In Paranomal War (I don't remember name of this war so sorry) He unlocked a much stronger variants of previous users like: En, Nana Shimura, 4th User and 3rd User.

Final War will surpass Paranormal Liberation War & UA Traitor is just like the prologue of the Final War where Deku cry & reach his hand to Aoyama and says you can still become a hero after they discover Aoyama is a traitor just like the prologue of Paranormal Liberation War where Mr. Aizawa cry & reach his hand to Kurogiri and says let’s all become heroes after Gran Torino captures him during the yakuza & during the first war Present Mic use DJ Punch on Dr. Garaki’s face and says that’s for making my friends cry & during the second war Jiro says all I know is that you made my friends cry & unleash her Heartbeat Surround: Legato on All For One & Toga says what do you want to do with me to Uraraka on the first war & she rejects her answer & says she should face her consequences for her actions & on the second war Deku also rejects Toga’s answer about wanting to be her boyfriend & what do you want to do with me & he explains to her about romance lessons & he says he will follow his path to become like All Might & never wants to kill people & Toga has had enough from all rejections from all her past like her parents says wanting to be normal, Curious tortures her to interview her past stories & she says Deku & Uraraka is just like her parents & decides to put the end of all heroes & humans but there is other best arcs like Star and Stripe, Tartarus Escapees, Meta Liberation Army, Pro Hero, Shie Hassaikai, Hideout Raid, Vs. Hero Killer, Forest Training Camp, UA Sports Festival, mid best is USJ, Endeavor Agency, UA School Festival & Provisional Hero License Exam, training arcs is Joint Training, Final Exams, Entrance Exam, Battle Trial, test arcs is Quirk Apprehension Test & Remedial Course

I can imagine All for One being overprotective of Yoich when they were kids
All For One will kidnapped Deku on the final battle after his fight against Shigaraki and Class 1-A will be dismay to see Deku is being abducted and Uraraka will desperately try to save him but All For One use his Hardflame Fan to blast her and Deku will cry out to Uraraka on his disappearing to Outer Space by All For One and Uraraka is injured from fire by falling far from the sky and Bakugo will save her and Shoto will also join Bakugo to help her too by using his Ice Slide and Class 1-A will be relief that she’s okay and Uraraka will be crying after she failed to save Deku and she will cry out to Deku by watching to the sky along with Class 1-A to hope that Deku is still alive and he will fight All For One on Outer Space as his final battle

Yeah I think there is a lot more to him wanting OFA than just him wanting it so that way there is no quirk that can challenge him
