  • Clips of a 75 minute blu-ray video I have made of the beautiful Isle of Arran. It covers most of Arran's picturesque villages and many of the excellent lowlevel walks on the island. Much of the original commentry has been edited to fit with the shortened video - so apologies for any glitches.

Me & my family have visited Arran nearly every year since I was born :) I have some amazing memories & would love to move up there at some point. My one year old daughter had her first holiday there last year & we will be coming back again this year, as always! Arran means so much to us.

Arran indeed is one of the many pearls of Scottland...I have been there cycling with a friend and I would hope that more ppl (not too many ....) would visit that island. It's so beautiful, thanks for sharing, Andy ...your style of narrating reminded me of Sir Attenborough even so the accent seems to be a little different..again, it was so nice to see the places we visited.

I've been visiting Arran since I was in primary school. I'm now in my sixties and still enjoy it every bit as much as I did then. It's lost none of its appeal and leaving on the ferry to go home still leaves me longing for the next visit.

Excellent little documentary, well researched. I particularly like your self video inclussions, a lot of extra work in setting up and then going back for the camera - but worth it. We did the Arran coastal walk in 2010 and passed through all these places, although I didn't get to spend much time at any of the places. I went back later and spent 2 days at Kildonan to film the seals there. I have to go back!

wonderful film Andy, brings back so many memories. been to arran many times, been going since I was about 3 yrs old, we used to go with other families in my fathers climbing club from Sheffield England. I remember walking all the big hills, and standing on the trig point on goat fell and thinking about being the highest thing on the island...ahh nostalgia. I now take my own wife and children, we stay in Lochranza, I could sit at newton point and watch the claonaig ferry forever so peaceful.

Hi Andy, what a wonderful video! I particularly liked your slightly unusual views, those "off-road" giving a different angle on well known vistas. Also things I didn't know existed, like the War Memorials at Corrie and Kildonan. Have you seen the commemorative stone south of Kilpatrick Point to two airmen who lost their lives nearby during WW2? I did the Clauchlands Point walk for the first time ever only last month. 2014 will be the 50th anniversary of my first visit to Arran.
