Clips from a video I have made of the NC500 Inverness to Glen Torridon, I filmed part of it in September, but couldn't get parked at many of the beauty spots and all campsites and B&Bs were full so I abandoned my trip. I returned in October but a month in the Highlands at that time of year creates a marked change in the scenery as you will see from the clips.

This was great , photography, narration & information. Thank you. I’m in Australia , my son in law is from Inverness and his parents retired to the Isle of Harris, so it gave me the opportunity to see it. He misses Scotland , goes back to visit but likes the Oz weather too much to go back permanently.
Thanks for highlighting my home town. Had a very pleasant walk around Gowan Hill last week as had car in at a garage directly below and all I had to do was cross road and go up the path

My third great grandfather was the first vet surgeon to set up business here. He was also a town councillor. Around 1867. Mr Thomas Campbell opened the first Galloway Vets.

Enjoyed the video of some on my favourite places. Between Dunure and Ayr is the lovely Bracken Bay with volcanic type cliffs at one end and sandstone at the South. Waverley did extra sails from Ayr in 2023 and always a joy to see her enter harbour.

Glad I stumbled upon your channel. I was doing a bit of family history research and found that Ayrshire was where my fathers side of the family emigrated to Australia from. Looks spectacular and will have to visit some day. Those little seaside villages are charming.

I was there 3 weeks back … and back up there 20th Nov’ for a week, from London, I’m really hoping for the last few 🍁’s on trees .. but hope to do the hike straight from Inverness airport after I get to Affric from picking my car up … ohhh I can’t wait … ✌️🙏… ( which I done back in Jan’ this year )

Been there, Andy. Pure magic and an experience that will remain with me. Anyone visiting Scotland ( I’m Canadian with Scottish blood) MUST make the effort to drive that road and visit the village.
Sadly the Craws Nest Hotel is no longer standing. Area is now a housing complex. There are many places of interest throughout Fife and worth a visit. Fife,the only Kingdom within the United Kingdom.

Used to go regularly in the 70s, looks like some changes around the croft in terms of buildings, and of course the lodge is now owned by one of the Middleton family. Used to be unspoilt, not so sure these days.

I worked in the great western hotel on the esplanade as a chef 1972 to 1975 Oban was a fantastic place then but unfortunately now it’s so commercial tourism has spoiled a beautiful fishing town

You put a lot into your videos, Andy, the research, editing. You got to wonder what Burns could have achieved should he lived longer given how much he achieved as it is.. my dad loved quoting Burns and wrote a few poems and short stories that got published in to a book for the family.

All the music I use for my videos is royalty free. The main clip used is called 'A New Dawn' and the music used when driving is called 'The Scottish Mountains'.
