Elton did say Britney took full control over how her vocals would be produced and placed and I honestly love how it sounds. Her voice is beautiful and knowing her level of control on it warms my heart.

@@mauriciomartinez9053 no. It's really poor as you can barely hear the voices, words or artists style as the vocals are swimming in reverb.
It might as well be any of us singing
For me vocals are very overproduced too much reverb and pitch controler, you can’t recognize the voices
The demo is so much better and Britney shines even more in it and that babbbbbyy rift is so awesome.
The chorus is of course, Tiny Dancer. The verses are actually from Elton’s 1992 song, “The One”, which is beautiful.
I seriously think that she picked the best person to collaborate with. I could be wrong but think that Elton and his husband (and team) will truly care about our Britney. I was never a fan - I am too old (65) and more of an Elton type of guy - but knowing what happened to her I now absolutely respect this girl and wish her all the happiness in the world! 🌈💖💕
I am just so happy that Britney is free and able to do what she wants. Last night at the club, they played this song and people cheered. CHEERED! I hope Britney knows how universally loved she is. Even people who were not her fans before want to see her succeed and be happy. I bet she is cheered wherever this is played.

It’s a great way for Britney to dip her toes back into music after so long. I think it’s an amazing start for her. Here’s hoping it gives her the confidence to keep going. I love this track. I’m not a big Elton fan. But yeah, like the disco vibe. It’s pretty awesome.
She wanted the layering to happen, there is an article in the guardian or dailymail with the producer and Elton saying how Britney wanted doubling. I think she might not feel super confident with her voice so doing more layering makes her comfortable.
Thanks for sharing that intel - very interesting. It's really nice to see Elton support Britney's return to the studio. I hope they had fun doing the collab and that it's success gives her a confidence boost.

Britney sounds amazing, I've been streaming (and crying) since midnight. I loved the demo way more, it had more Britney but I'm so happy with this one too. I love her.
The version that leaked last week had cleaner voices and Britney was more prominent on the track. It's still a BOP.

Just one comment about the unclear vocals: I listened to it in my car the first few times and totally agree it was difficult to hear. Today, though, I went for a walk and listened with air pods. What a major difference! It actually sounded like a different song and all the vocals were so much clearer. It was actually so different I immediately thought of you and this review. It's very clear who sings what and when they sing together. It was weird, but great how different it was.
According to Breatheheavy they changed the vocals a day or so after the song came out to make them a little clearer.

Life is not easy. Music is one of the sweet compensations we get for all of the bulls**t that all of us struggle through daily. I don't really care if Britney or Elton were autotuned. Both of them have brought me so much joy and escape on my journey through . . . all of this . . . life. They are more than welcome to do whatever they want to do as far as I'm concerned. I love it. Such a catchy song. I think you can hear a lot of Britney’s naturally, deeper voice in the song, similar to some of the snippets we’ve heard from her on Instagram in recent years.
I think this was a good song to dip her toes back into the studio recording world (not sure how long it’s been). I wish we could hear her more though but Ithats okay

I love it, but it also get clearer every time I hear it. More nuance gets through. Elton said something that sort of confirmed that she has so little confidence after everything and I agree with him that she hopefully can use this to build her confidence back up. ❤️

Ran to go listen to the demo version after reading comments: why didn't they release that one?!! It has a much better showcase of vocals, you can hear Elton's piano playing much better, and it's still a dance bop. I like the version they put out today, but I agree I was confused why they had to overproduce it like they did. It's kind of a head scratcher.

When I heard it at first I also noticed its kinda tricky to distinguish the voices, but now when I listen to it its got a dreamy feel. I do know some people have certain feelings about how voices should sound in a recording, but I am all about the kind of artistic expressions that electronic music can deliver.

I meant to say I really like the song and feel it's definitely a bop. I just wish we could have heard more of Britney's voice. I understand the concept of this as a dance track but I wanted more isolated Britney.
I love the song! Considering it’s a dance track, I expected there to be reverb etc. Hopefully this helps give her back some confidence and she will come back and dominate!
