I found out I'm right eye dominant for distance but left eye dominant for near/intermediate. Pretty cool. I think it might be because I'm right-handed but my left eye has slightly sharper vision.
Great video! I am absolutely Right eye dominant...but I also have Amblyopia. After like 9 years of patching my dominant eye as a kid, I went from 20/400 to 20/40 in my left eye, but I still don't really use it unless I consciously try to (which is exhausting to do for very long) or my right eye is covered.
Left eye dominant but right-handed, generally no issues with that except when it comes to target shooting, especially with a rifle, less so with a pistol.
I don't understand these tests at all. When I make the triangle and look at a distant object I see two triangles so which one I choose that'll be the dominant eye. When I point at an object I align the object between the two fingers or when I try follow the instructions and focus I tend to align left hand with left eye and right hand with right eye, because it's closer.
I knew I was right eye dominant by age 7. I was hunting and shooting right. The big BUT is that I am left handed. It does create minor issues now and again.
@katiehex138 oh you can definitely do it. You just have to cant the gun a bit and if you're shooting off your non-dominate eye you'd have to close your other eye.
Is it possible to have both eyes dominant, when I do the triangle method my left eye is dominant but when I do the finger method my right eye is dominant
Is it possible that i don't have a dominant eye? I tried all kind of tests and my finger doubles when i cover an object, when i focus in my finger, the object doubles. Doing the triangle, i can center the object with both eyes open by moving my hands to the left and center again by moving my hands to the right, in other words, with both eyes open i can center the object in two different positions (Like i have two holes to see, but the real center is always closed). I am doing something wrong, right?
I'm having the same issue! Also, when you create a triangle, there is a small hole inside the triangle in which both eyes can focus on the object, right? When I close my left eye, the object doesnt really move but it appears to be on the right side of the triangle, and when I close my right eye, the object doesn't move but it appears to be on the left side of my triangle. I really can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, all my friends and even my dad are doing it right
I’m right handed but left eye dominant which explains why I can turn left and shooter a higher percentage than turn right and shoot in basketball >>>> great tips
When I tried the triangle thing, the results varied. I tended to see two triangles and ended up with right eye once and left eye once. When I tried the pointing thing, I ended up with my finger on either side of the object both times I tried. ...I tried putting a binocular lens over one eye at a time and saw a weird effect, but I didn't feel it was conclusive enough. It was like... when doing that, some areas of vision were doubled, some were solely one eye and some were solely the other eye. Hmm, I can also (when doing it with either eye) 'focus' on the binocular side of the image: I can feel my eye focusing when I do it, which is odd because I'm only focusing with one eye (I guess that doesn't say anything about dominance, but it's neat that I can switch between eyes at will that way). I've always felt that my dominate eye depended on whether I was looking slightly to the right or slightly to the left. Though I've also figured I'm likely right-eye dominant because I'm right-handed. Maybe next time I have an eye exam I'll ask if they can find out.

So, for the point test. Depending on which finger you cover the object with, and which eye you close. The outcome is the same? Lol. Does that mean I’m “both eye dominant”? I cover the object with my finger but see 2 fingers because I’m focused at the object. If I do the finger on the left, and close left eye, it covered the object and moves away if I close the right eye. If I use the finger on the right, the outcomes are reversed. It’s a matter of perspective. We have 2 eyes for depth perception for a reason. You’re 2 seperate eyes are not in the same location so they’re each getting a different reference point. Hence why both fingers, with both eyes have the same outcome. It’s not like your right eye works harder than the left

I am generally right dominant, but the myopia in my left eye is much more severe than the right, and that causes very different focus ranges for each eye. At varying distances between 12 inches and 100 feet, i find my dominance switches left and right, depending on which eye more easily focuses on the target, i think, but it almost seems random. My right eye is about -2.00 and the left about -4.75. Left eye unaided by lens can only focus up to about 18 inches but up close to about 2 inches, right eye has much more "normal" range. Hey i have a big doubt pleas ehelp.if uncan
I am right handed but when i read something form far away my leftt eye sees perfect but my right eye gets. A lottle blurry but when reading tthe samething at same distance with both eyes opened i feel just normal and have no inconvinience does that mean i have a weak eye or it is just a misconception?
Im left some times both lol
Left eye, but right handed
I am a left handed with right eye dominant but the issue i have is my right eye[dominant] is slightly bigger than the left one and it really bothers me, so if i cover my right eye and let it to reset for for a couple of hours will that will help them be symmetrical and equal?
Im left handed but i think in right eye dominant
I'm both right eyes and right handed
I get mixed results?
im left eye dominant but my hand write and everything else I'm right is that normal ? BTW my Left eye has miopia and the right amthysmatism
You are cross dominant than. That can make it tricky for certain activities.
@Dr. EyeGuy Yeah that's kind of sad now i realise why I'm bad at Soccer
Its kinda weard coz i can see two triangles :(
let's focus in, hahaha, i get it!
I am left eye dominant and left handed, I am aware of the christian take on this ( I was forced to write with my right hand - who is sinister - right? ). As an artist I feel this makes my art better and gives a different take on the world...ambidextrousness is great as I am literally taking no sides and seeing the whole thing... ;D
Left eye dominant
Right handed. Left eye dominant...
sometimes im left eye dominant and sometimes left xD
When i try to use the thumb cover object thing, i literally cant cover the object, ill get double visions
The same with me....
And on the first test, depending on what I want, I can be left and right eye dominant. If I start the test with the hands more to the right I will be right eye, if I do it with the hands more to the left I will be left eye. If I do a bigger triangle. The object will be centered with 2 eyes open and with deviated with 1 eye opened regardless of the side.
