I think the epoxy would have worked if part of the station, lab was under water, but to just epoxy the cage is confusing. Your building, concept and painting were top notch, and wonderful to watch the process from beginning to end.
I was going to put it in a glass bottle, but I still regret it. ㅠㅠ
I think it would work if You made a submerged chamber under the station.

I think the story could've been that centuries earlier, a team of scientist discovered the creature and caged it but during shipment it broke through that made it and the boat sank deep into the Antarctica. Another few centuries later, a new set of scientists studying the melting glaciers found just the creature in the cage frozen in ice so they cut the chunk of ice still containing the creature. The lab would be omitting dry ice to keep specimen cold.
I'm wondering what the resin is supposed to represent? If it is water, why isn't the rest of the lower area not under water as well? If it is a tank it would have been better to put a steel frame around it so that it doesn't confuse the hell out of people as to what it means. also the resin pulled away from the container so it is an obvious failed pour, so At least you now know not to use that brand again. Other than that, this is an awesome diorama! the attention to detail is spectacular! Right down to the steel cables and U-clamps to stabilize the structure! Fabulous work my friend, keep up the good work and throw away the rest of that resin for something that won't shrink when curing! I wish I had your equipment and skills with 3D rendering and printing!

I saw the thumbnail and was like “monster Cooch?” Then I read the title and I was like “😳monster Cooch”
It’s so refreshing having a DIY maker who’s not completely a machine in their movements. Watching that panel fly up at you and watching you SORTA freak out about it is honestly such a cute little scenario. I’ve watched a lot of people make dioramas and they always try too hard to be professional. It’s awesome to have someone more on the relaxed side (without outright talking to the viewer, ofc, cus those makers tend to be silly)

Have you thought about doing a epoxy diorama of the Kraken? Maybe have it where its inside of a sunken oil tanker or oil rig.
Just discovered you with this video and I was in aww watching your process. My heart sank for you after seeing the epoxy idea outcome. I can only imagine the defeat after spending so many hours on a project just to have your idea not turn out the way you envisioned.
But still, absolutely phenomenal work and very inspiring!

Although after some thought of the epoxy it almost looks incased in amber, like a creature they are ready to revive to use. None the less fantastic work and I can't wait to see more of your creations!

Overall it's great! But a minor suggestion for next time, teeth should be offset from each other if they're going to close the 'mouth' so they can slide past each other and interlock. Not a huge issue, just bugs me. But your work is fantastic!

Awesome diorama. I would maybe wall up and fill in the corners of the resin, add some water texture to the top to blend it in, and print a frame to make it look like a tank. You could even hide some of the corners behind the frame if filling them doesn't work out perfectly. Just my thoughts. All the rest of it is really impressive.

Cool diorama and I am really impressed by all the details and work thats going in this.
One question though; why assemble it first, then paint and assemble it again?
wouldnt it be easier/faster to just paint and then finish it?
It is because of the part that cannot be painted with a brush, or because the paint color has been changed during the production process.
Resin is confusing but it is still better than what I can do.

Как же 3D принтеры всё упрощают! Я до сих пор делаю всё вручную из разных материалов. Если делать на уровне то получается очень даже не дешевое хобби!

Работа хороша, интересная идея, умелая реализация. Но у меня возникает вопрос: не выглядит ли странно залитый смолой куб среди постройки? Возможно не стоило заливать клетку с монстром эпоксидкой, или же стоило залить смолой весь первый этаж - так, по крайней мере, композиция выглядела бы целостной и логичной. А так куб с клеткой смотрится как инородное тело. Как вариант можно было бы сделать куб имитируя кусок льда и добавить диораме сосулек и припорошить снегом?
Я понимаю, о чем вы, но в целом это моя неудача. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think it would be fine if I didn't use epoxy, but it's my failure.
u should make a similar one where the building is flooding and the creature is still in the cage trying to get out

I like watching this sort of thing, but, really, I stayed to the end because of the music :-)
PS. What everyone else is saying, the epoxy is confusing, I assume that they have encased my mum… sorry the creature, in some sort of containment resin? Maybe if you were to make the resin look old, dirty and knocked about it might make it fit in better?
I liked this up to the point where you only put the cage and monster in resin but not the rest. There's no rhyme or reason to do it this way.
