Feeling inspired to essentially copy/rip-off North of the Border's project I see...
Don't get me wrong it looks great, just pointing it out.

I agree that it looks very similar, but think about it this way... do you think NotB would want you to come in here and criticize another creators work that may not be 100% original but it still takes time, effort, materials, money...? I don't think he would. even if he did care, he could reach out PRIVATLEY (like the mature adult he is) and ask for some credit.
LIAR, The Craft bros channel made before North Of The Boarder did, and he didn't credit craft bros! Minibricks has also made pool monsters. I wouldn't be surprised if North of The Boarder sanctioned this comment. Jealousy is pathetic. How shameful for you and North of the Boarder to claim this is his original idea.

Skull crab zombies are my life’s work, it’s a fairly specific genre but adding resin into the equation is really what separates your art from mine as I usually just use diet Mountain Dew

Looks like North of the Boarders video of him making a skull octopus in a pool. Still looks cool, only complaint is that the one ladder shown at 9:45 doesn't make sense, it would be underground if you made the full pool.
And North of the Boarder ripped his from The Craft Bros channel, he didn't even try to atleast change up the monsters like this guy did, he just took what the Craft Bros did and copied it. 😅

This looks almost identical to North of the Border's diorama made in "I Put a Zombie Octopus in a Pool / Deep Resin Pour". Any reason as to why that may be?

looks very nice, you should though credit North of the border for inspo since this sculpture is almost the exacts same (only difference being it's a skull crao and not a skull octopus), it's so simmilar that it'd be pretty unlikely that you thought of this yourself. (credit artists!!)

imagine person A makes a 4 tier cake with the theme of bats. their cake has other decorations like spiders, ghosts, and a specific color scheme of purple and black.
now person B likes bats and since that is the main theme, he wants to take some inspiration. person B makes a one tier cake with only one bat decoration and instead of having ghosts and spiders with purple and black, person B adds gravestones, and skeletons with a color scheme of green and yellow.
person C makes person B's cake except the only difference is that instead of one big bat as a decoration, he adds a cat.
are you starting to grasp the concept or should I go on? because it's pretty simple. the concept of a scary octopus in resin isnt something to lose your shit about, but a scary crab that so happens to look like that octopus and so happens to be submerged in a fake pool filled with resin in a very specific pose in a very specific place is something noticeably the same.

Don't get me wrong, the final product is amazing. But it's also nearly identical to North of the Border's design.
I'd say it's more inspired by than a copy of. You can't say that it's "nearly identical" when every single item in it is completely different. The only thing that is similar is the composition and placement of things.
Even if it was nearly identical, which it isn't (nor did the author claim it was), that's not even close to being what's most important about the work.
The time and effort it takes to do something like this is ridiculous. Give them a break.
This piece is amazing. No, it's not as original as the first time man invented the wheel Rob, but it's bloody impressive.
@@TheJackFrench I never said it wasn't. Literally the first thing I said was the final product is amazing. And I'll even admit when I rewatched NotB's version I saw the differences more. But it doesn't negate what I said either. Both are amazing products, but both are also dilapidated swimming pools with long armed zombie sea creatures. There's a great variety of sea creatures out there that could have been zombified that would have made this stand out more. That's really all I mean. I will give him the fact that he's displaying very different skills from NotB. Building a 3D digital model well enough to print that ain't easy, and I know it's not.
