Title pretty much says it all. My New Nightwing cosplay progress. Needs to be finished in a couple weeks for Otakon. Got the Barge from Amazon. forgot to mention that.
This is by far the most impressive Night Wing costume I have seen in a long time! Also I love how everyone gets along in your comment feeds! Keep up the great work man! Defiantly looking forward to seeing more on this!!
Shawn this is amazing, great work. Great detail. I love the way you made the armor pieces bring out the suit. In addition to the actual nightwing symbol being in the back and armor in the front. Very cool project sir.
Sorry, for everyone that has asked. I do not do commission work. I just don't have the time. I do appreciate all the compliments. Working on a new project so new videos will be coming soon.
I'm 30 years old now apparently? News to me. But anyway, I'm just trying to defend the guy when he's been asked and bombarded with questions for either commissions or just to sell the suit. He takes pride in his work, and it's great enough that he shares it with us.
You’re probably not gonna see this but I just wanted to try and make sure you realized how ahead of your time you were when you made this. This looks a lot like the armour and suit type they used for the new Batman movie so seriously dude, really well done
2 ways to attach the sticks if you haven't already. 1. attach small, rounded magnets to the sticks and attach bigger magnets to the costume so that when you put the sticks back there they automatically attract. 2. put velcrow on both and basically do the same thing
This is amazing. 10/10 dude. One thing I recommend is to use a dirt bike chestplate for armor instead of foam on a shirt because for me it always fell of my shirt. Still looks great😊
Holy shit how have I just found this channel :O that is some absolutely amazing work man keep it up :) huge Nightwing fan myself :) made my own series :P
Thank you so much. Could you go over a tutorial of how you approached crafting the foam? And the details? I promise i wouldnt bite. Your design just its my first time
What you could do for the sticks is make like a locking system like it splits apart when you pull them out and then when you put them back a button locks them in place or you could use magnets
Awesome design I'm gonna take some notes from this for when I make my suit but I have a question how did u get the curvature in the armor to fit ur body? And also what is that u have on the pieces of armour is it the garage shelf foam u used to spray paint the spidey suit?
Thanks for the awesome video, just curious about your body suit. Where did you get yours, can you add the link to buy the suit. Keep making those great video
Best Nightwing costume I've ever seen, do you sell any of your costumes if so what is your sale price for this beauty/ what size was the zentai suit underneath?
I was wondering how it is that you did the edges of the pieces like the chest to give it that raised look. Im working on a Red Hood one so I feel like your work is great reference.
Hey there first off I love the suit!! And im trying to get as much info as I can because I am going to build my Batman suit and would love some help and input on my idea for it, if you wouldn't mind helping me some. Thanks for your time
how much would it cost to get you to make me a suit like this one? I need a better one for work but I'm not sure how to make my own or where to get all the materials to make it
Hi, I am making a Nightwing cosplay for an upcoming convention (next weekend) and am in the process of attaching identical foam for the chest/ab/shoulder padding to an exercise shirt, and was wondering if you had any tips on the best way to do it? I tried super glue, and that wasn't the best idea because it went straight through the material and stuck to the back? any thoughts would be awesome Never mind, just finished watching it and just saw the barge And BTW, kickass cosplay!
Really nice work Shawn... but I was thinking if you need to go to the bathroom I imagine it's not an easy task to get rid of the armor to pee or whatever... when you design an armor like that do you think about these practical questions? Also, It would be nice if you could make a video telling about your creative proccess, since the concept till the finished costume. Congrats once more, dude!
Great work man ! ... one question, Did you use the mod podge after you sailed the craft foam with plastidip and painted it ? when did you use the mod podge ?
Hey I like your cosplay I am interested in making one my own so I got a question or two How did you make the patterns for the armor And I want to try and use plasty dip But I never did so I was wondering do you still have to do the water an glue for seven days or if you could just spray it with plasti dip then pain it
This is by far the most impressive Night Wing costume I have seen in a long time! Also I love how everyone gets along in your comment feeds! Keep up the great work man! Defiantly looking forward to seeing more on this!!
Are you ever gonna make a tutorial on how to make this because this is by far the BEST Nightwing cosplay I have ever come across
Good job bro

You’re probably not gonna see this but I just wanted to try and make sure you realized how ahead of your time you were when you made this. This looks a lot like the armour and suit type they used for the new Batman movie so seriously dude, really well done

I'd love to hear how you made the belt, etched the grid designs, and how you made the shins, gauntlet armor, and shoulder pieces.

What you could do for the sticks is make like a locking system like it splits apart when you pull them out and then when you put them back a button locks them in place or you could use magnets

Do you have a template you used for the armour pieces? I'm having trouble with the sizing and design of it
Looks awesome!
Can you wash the suit from sweating in it? Looks awesome though!
This look awsome
This looks fucking GREAT.
Hey I like your cosplay I am interested in making one my own so I got a question or two How did you make the patterns for the armor And I want to try and use plasty dip But I never did so I was wondering do you still have to do the water an glue for seven days or if you could just spray it with plasti dip then pain it
Question: how do you wash it? Machine delicate? Dry clean? Don't want to show up at a con and as Stinkwing
Awesome!
Hey man! Great stuff! What's your base material? is that a wetsuit?
All the same techniques can be used for the Netflix Daredevil suit. Thank you for sharing. :)
No more videos?? I was really wanting to see the finished product...
Awesome video!!! I have a question, where did you get the mannequin torso?
Got it from Amazon I believe. I need to get a full body one. would make my life much easier
I freaking love it bro!!! lol
This is pretty bad ass
will we get a video showing the finished thing
dude this is cool
When you're done with the suit could you just show it from every angle and explain how you got the pieces to stick
How much did the zentai suit, rustolin spray paint, mod poge, barge cement, plasty dip, PVC pipes, O-rings, rivets and mask cost.
amazing
how did you make the belt?
