    ----------------------------------------------
Flying on the Delta A220 has been at the top of my to-do list for well over a year now. I was planning on giving it a try this time last year, but everything got put on hold thanks to the global shutdown.
The unfortunate part of waiting so long is that it gave me far too much time to build up unreasonable expectations. As you will see in this video, I wasn’t excited about it as much as I should have been once I got the chance to fly it.
That’s not to say that the Delta Air Lines A220-300 is a letdown or anything. As a matter of fact, it may very well be the best aircraft in the entire Delta fleet.
Anyway, this is footage from DL1595 from Denver (DEN) to Salt Lake City (SLC). I was seated in economy class for this 1 hour and 43 minute flight, and the aircraft registration was N306DU.

I flew an A220-100 from SLC to BNA and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The 18.6 inch or 47.2cm seat width left me shocked by how comfortable it was and how much better I felt after a similar amount of time in a 17 inch wide Boeing seat. I think I would feel comfortable flying across an ocean in the A220.

I haven't been in the main cabin yet as all my A220 flights got upgraded to Comfort+ and First Class, but it's definitely my favorite cabin! The longest flight I've had with it was from Austin to Salt Lake, and I could have easily spent a few more hours on that plane.
Being out of LA, I just hope Delta brings back the Burbank-Atlanta route eventually and puts an A220 on that route (formerly served by a now-retired 737-700).
