This is an extended version of the Main Theme of the famous mini series « V: The Final Battle » (1984) by Barry De Vorzon & Joseph Conlan. This is the original music ripped from the BluRay (this track has never been officially released, what a shame!). There was an official soundtrack by Dennis McCarthy but this track was not included unfortunately. The original main title was 2 minutes, so I extended it to 5 minutes and remastered it.

I'm 45 now, but still filled with terror when I hear this music. Still remember it vividly from when I was a little boy.

Same - it’s an amazing piece of music. You can almost hear the boots of the shock troopers and the resistance pushing back against them.

I remembered this in 1983 I was 9 years old every school night I would be watching it! Bringing back memories in my childhood. Now I 'm 48 1/2 years ago today 2023!

Yeah, the first reptilian face reveal shocked the entire Western world.
Loved the original and this. Everyone trying to cash-in on Star Wars tried to be Star Wars, this one went off into dark horror, Nazi allegories, it was freakin' awesome.
Space nazis is the only way US could experience the fear of invasion and the terror of occupation.
This music is so good, it should be the music that is used to tease V coming back in any form.

Those clicky noises! The foot stomping like troops marching!! Barry deVorzon also wrote the theme to Looker. It had a similar, unrelenting ostinato that was foreboding and pounding. And campy and dramatic. Perfect music!

I was just a kid when this series came out. This was a great series imo. There was a remake of it but nothing beats the original.
The remake had its moments, but did not retain enough of what made the tv minny series great.

When I was a kid and first heard this I always got an image in my head of soldiers matching through streets when you hear the drums beats. I still get that image in my head.
With me it was soldiers skipping and dancing...I kid you not.

Man, I love this theme music. I remember watching the original miniseries back as a kid. If my memory is correct (if someone knows for sure, by all means, please correct me!) I think that NBC re-broadcast the first miniseries ("V", which originally aired in May 1983) in May 1984, as a lead-in to the second mini-series, ("V - The Final Battle"). I was stoked, because my 11th birthday was coming up the week following V the Final Battle, and as a Sci-Fi nut, it was like an early birthday present! I remember using an old VCR with a wired remote control to tape the series as I watched, so that I could cut out the commercials for my parents when they watched it later. I would periodically hum/whistle this theme song over the years, especially when I wanted to get "pumped up" before tackling a challenge. Let's destroy some creepy fascist extraterrestrial geckos!

One of my top favorite shows back then. As a 9 or 10 year old kid, I used to walk around whistling this theme. I bet it creeped some people out 😆
Absolutely the best series I have ever watched. Would have loved an international version of V in which sworn enemies become brothers-in-arms against a common enemy.

Terrifying theme. Just hearing this theme, and you know something bad will happen to mankind. One of the best mini series in TV history
I think the synth music in the background is the sinister part, no doubt, but I think that the drums are symbolic of the resistance. Drumming like that is tribal. Primal.

Those drums would be played by the people banding together, rising up and marching towards making a stand.
Honestly i love Dennis McCarthy's theme it has that badass epic brass and strings presence along with the synth .
I love this!! V was my all time favourite TV series. Barry de Vorzon's sinister score really brought out the dark motives of the Visitors. I never even knew there was an extended version of the Final Battle theme but I am so grateful for this upload! Thank you 🙏

I watched this on TV every week as it came out. The series' message is still relevant today.
My best description of the music is techno-tribal.
Savagely Ominous in its simplicity and Epic in its endurance through the decades.
Once you hear it, you will never forget it.

My favorite sci-fi show when I was a kid. When you found out the aliens were reptilian, the series really ramped up. Even watched the entire series after the Final Battle was done.

This intro is epic! As a kid in the 80's very few TV shows combined fear and fascination the way V did. And this soundtrack, this specific intro is the perfect match. I can remember when I heard this as a kid and freaked out. Awesome. I hope they reboot it again and use the old school lizards and not that CGI junk around 2009 :-)

This horror that is triggered in you, just by the music.
You should watch the series, to understand to what depths of horror the "Visitors" are capable of.
Sadly, the message is still relevant today.
The show was basically an allegory for a fascist takeover, but in the guise of science fiction. The aliens showed up in disguise, pretending to be our friends, but having rather horrifying true intentions. Thankfully, we had horror actor Robert Englund (famous for his portrayal of Freddy Krueger) as the genuinely friendly, funny, and heroic visitor Willie, showing that even among evil invaders, there's still good to be found.

Back in the day we had vhs tapes to record episodes, missed a couple and reviewing the series knew the few I missed!
Scary thought what if the premise is real ? Sounds crazy but I can't be the only one that senses something just isn't right in the world
And the scariest thing isn't that aliens disguised as humans stealing or keeping resources but real humans wanting to get resources killing others in the process and not caring at all-

If your into wild theories. In this show the resistance send out a message to deep space looking for potential alien enemies of the Visitors to come and possibly help them. In the Star Trek TNG episode Conspiracy, when those alien bugs take over Starfleet Command on earth, later in the show it's revealed that these aliens came because of a message sent from earth.
Wilder conspiracy theory: Post DS9-series books establish that those aliens are related to the Trill symbionts and they attempt a takeover of the Alpha Quadrant which only the Cardassians - led by Gul Dukat's "cousin" Gul Macet [the character Marc Alaimo played in the TNG episode in which the Cardassians first appear] - are immune to as they can't be taken over the way all those worm-eating Admirals were in "Conspiracy".

The 1st miniseries theme has its charm, but this one really sets the mood. Relentless & creates a very real sense of dread. I feel like the Visitors/Sirians are hunting me down
TV soundtracks have a limited time to set the mood & the "Final Battle" main theme is very economical. No screwing around here. While I enjoy Huyten's expanding the piece, the TV theme does more world building w/the time it has.

My sister Sue absolutely loves and adores this show (Sue will be 50 next year) she has The Original Miniseries, The Final Battle and the 19 part Series (didn’t like the remake at all and should never have been made as it was perfect as it was, according to Sue❤) and has all the novels,several magazines, photos and t-shirts, that’s how much she loves it (her favourite was Frank Ashmore who played Martin/Philip, though she loved Willie too who was very funny and adorable for a lizard). It’s hard to believe that it’s 40 years old this year and the story is still very relevant to this day. We shouldn’t take our planet for granted and must do what we can to take care of it as for all we know there could be an alien race out there who plan to invade us one day?❤❤

Il y au moins deux façons différentes de comprendre votre allusion. La première est évidemment politique, la seconde va au-delà ; dans les deux cas, nos "visiteurs" présentent d'ores et déjà une apparence trompeuse, comme dans la série. A qui sait voir et entendre !

I know most of the characters in this series are a lot older but I think they should bring this back with new characters same plot but finally finishing where they left off at this series was so good

Sue also adores this theme tune and should have been used for the whole of V and not just for The Final Battle as it was very ominous sounding, it was also great how the letter V would move across the screen as it gradually appeared as it arrived so slowly❤❤
