I love how in final boss battle C2, it sounds like the final boss and party members are fighting for ownership of the battle theme.
It really is, it feels like they're in a "tug of war"
Well in the previus Braverly Default it was to show players that even if the battle is tough, you have the power to shine through and success, like a form for encouragement.

The part where the character themes come in always hit so hard in the final boss battle songs, I hope Revo never stops doing that
I love the recurring theme when fighting the Night's Nexus, at 52:40 for the first form, 56:18 for the second, and 1:08:03 for the final form. Recurring musical themes are such a simple but effective way of making the fights feel more connected and special, and this holds especially true for a soundtrack as awesome as this one.

I've been a huge fan of BD1's legendary OST since I played it on release, and for many years I thought nothing was gonna top it, until I heard 4-2 and the True Final Boss last phase theme in game. Fucking unbelievable. Truly jaw dropping stuff.
BD 1 had an overall peerless soundtrack but there were a small number that were just beyond amazing. Masterpieces. But BD 2 I think overall has maybe less masterpieces but more songs that are memorable to me especially with how many asterisk themes there are. Both games blow most jrpgs out of the water with their music, octopath as well.
@@GalanOfTruth I’d have to agree.. I played octopath around a year ago now and the music is what made me fall in love with it. Then I got BD 2 and goddamn Revo.. this is amazing. I cant wait to finish this game cause as soon as I do I’m gonna buy and play BD 1

I really like the tempo of battle themes. They knew every player would probably play with x4 battle speed.
x4 is optimal when you start using specials. Sometimes I have to slow it down to figure out what bosses are countering though when my healer keeps dying.

I play on normal speed unless I'm grinding. Once I'm done grinding it's right back to normal speed
X2 speed here unless I was killing monsters in the dungeon on the way to the boss
@@NoYouActuallylemao ^^ this! I actually find x2 to be the perfect speed for the bosses cos its not too fast and syncs well with the music making the fights more exhilarating
If there's one thing that can really get me going it's when each member of the party has their own special theme and said special themes appear in the final boss music
I absolutely love that the character themes change the boss/battle theme instrumentals. I ADORE the character themes in Bravely Default and Bravely Second just as much. I don't think this series has EVER missed with its musical score.
That's one thing that hyped me so much in Default's final battle. Jaw dropping stuff.

This and Octopath and some of the best OSTs on switch. BD2 is more techno and rock but still has folk at its core whereas Octopath is more folk and orchestral. Both are great.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s OST is my personal favorite. It’s the best OST ever IMO

I think my favorite OST ever would have to be between God of War (2018), Fire Emblem: Three Houses, or FF7R. I don't think any of these three games have a single bad song, and I listen to songs from all three of these games at least once a week since I first played/heard them.

@@d3ly746 yea trails has more sick themes than most games period, it's kind of it's own league. But I've got to say the bravely series and octopath give falcom a run for its money, it's pretty impossible to find better themes than Serpent eating the ground or Daughter of the Dark God.

All of those boss/battle themes are damn good. Also I don't understand why people complain why there are too many Asterisk themes, as to me it made sense that the Asterisk holders we faced vary from one to another. Although the Theme 2 is damn groovy.

最近ブレイブリーデフォルト2を知って没頭しプレイしましたが、ストーリー&曲良し 育成要素も良し その他凝った演出や隠し演出 キャラ一人一人に愛着も沸く感じ。本当にこの作品に出会えて良かったと思いました。 戦闘曲は沢山ありますが、初期の方のボスの曲｢星を授けられし者達との戦い｣が個人的に好きです。
自分も丁度１年前に何となく買ってみたブレデフォ２からドはまりした者ですが、歴代シリーズもすごくお勧めなのでぜひプレイしてみてください～。
同じスクエニ作品というとやはりドラクエなどを思い浮かべる人が多いと思いますが、ストーリー含めすべての要素で引き込まれる作品でしたので3DSシリーズもプレイしてみようと思います！

I love how each arc has different themes, and fits the asterisk wielders well.
First arc: chosen by fate and challenges anyone who dares stand against them.
Second arc: discovered and uses them for personal or neutral reasons.
Third arc: uses them for nefarious reasons.
Fourth arc: uses them for total supremacy.
Final arc: totally evil and needs to be stop.
How did anyone in the 2nd arc "discover" them? The asterisks were given to the Humans by edna and all the Bosses in arc 2 were possessed by Folies magic
@@IAmNotASandwich453 even that I'm enjoying the game, there are some plot holes, I mean most of the time they said that the arterisk were given by Edna, but at the same time we have lady Emma and we don't know how she obtained the black mage asterisk, also according to Bernard's letter he was surprised that there were more asterisk users and never make mentioned Edna. Also there is Glenn and Martha, both had asterisks and both are good.

Except for maybe Lonsdale, I feel like he had a compelling character and a reason to fight other than fighting for the sake of fighting.
I liked Lonsdale as you could understand why he was doing what he was doing being a soldier.

And Martha was part of the Orthodoxy, and was given her asterisk by Domenic who appointed her the task of guarding Gwydion.
And let's face it, of course Bernard would be surprised there's more holders. None of the Savalon holders (save Marla) are even a part of Holograd's plans, they're too focused on their own issues.

This battle theme in general man, tops any Bravely song is among my favorite Video Game songs of all time. Even beats out Serpent and That Person's Name Is for my favorite from this series. This game had good ass music.
Personally 4-1 is the best of the 3, but I can still get behind what you're saying. This is a great battle theme, haha.

I hate how Folie's expression throughout the fight is one of pity, as if she can't even understand why you are getting in her way and she looks down on you for not seeing eye to eye with her masterpiece or the means she used to achieve it.
As the party said so themselves; She had an extremely low opinion of others and a high ego to boot.
She’s a sociopath.
But despite the fact the masterpiece attacks you alongside Folie its a beautiful art, so beautiful the dev make it untargetable 😂😂

@@adam622500 Personally, I think there's a beauty to how it's set up. Folie doesn't even use the Asterisk battlefield to battle you; the Asterisk Battlefield is implied to limit interference and lessens damage to the enviroment, so while the masterpiece assists Folie because she doesn't put up the Asterisk Field, I like to think the resulting clash weakens the room structure, essentially making Folie's downfall and her masterpiece's destruction her own fault.
@@Folutu Nice interprétation, so its not the defeat of Folie who destroyed the room but the fact she doesn't set up Asterisk Battlefield, if she does set up the Asterisk Battlefield after her defeat the party would eventually have to defeat the paint and Folie could get a swift exit :)

暗闇に星を集めし者達は各ボス戦のアレンジとメインテーマのアレンジ、主人公たちのテーマ曲(必殺技かな？)のアレンジが入ってて、最後の戦いって感じが伝わってくる……54:17 はFFの様な感じがカッコイイ……一番衝撃だったボスはフォリィとその後に向かうライムダール編でした。今作は辛いシーンが多かった……モーラさんたちのbgmも好き
