The shoe for the normal runners wanting to finish fresh!
Thanks for the comment!
Ran my first marathon in these last month. They were great. They are also the only carbon racer that comes in wide sizes!
Awesome! Congratulations on the first marathon
If you can pick it up on a good sale it makes a good super trainer.
Agree
I don't know how to feel about this shoe. New Balance is definitely the brand that suits me best, but aside from me not liking the new look, their pricing is absolutely insane (in Europe) on certain models. Most reviewers agree with what you say about this shoe. 'It's definitely an upgrade', 'it's very comfortable, with heel issues', 'versatile, but not all that fast', but no-one actually wants to run a race in this 280! euro shoe. So this is basically a 'super trainer', which costs more than most super shoes. Only the Alphafly is more expensive...
Yes I agree that it's too expensive for sure. It definitely makes a great super trainer which is exactly what I use it for. Hopefully NB will come out with a more aggressive version that feels fast!
@@run-are I hope they at least drop the price on this one, so that it can be a bit more competitive. New Balance already has a good super trainer in the SC Trainer, both v1 and v2 (which I both have, and v2 is also grossly overpriced at 230 euro), soon the v3. The older versions of the SC Elite, the v3 and the RC Elite v2 (which I also both have) are also kind of in the super trainer category, so to me it looks like New Balance has backed itself into a corner with the v4.
Good review! Probably going to buy this one when I replace my race day shoe (Vaporfly 3) this summer.
Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the review. Would you say Saucony Pro 4 is overall a better race shoe?
I think I'd actually prefer the Elite
@@run-are because of comfort and stability?
@@snowwalker9999 I think the softness and comfort of the ride. I prefer this midsole foam over the Endorphin Pro 4. The Pro is the more stable shoe and it's stiffer.
@@run-are thanks 🙏
Does this really add anything to the Superblast?
Hoka Cielo X1 absolutely destroys this shoe. The V4 should be 200.00 max, looks good but very blah.
The Cielo X1 is $420 here in Australia 🤯
@@run-arewow that's ridiculous!
Time to take a Japan trip and stock up 😂
@@robsnow2099 😂😂 it would almost be cheaper!
