700 is cheap for a petrol rc. The hp baha was more Thats my fav transmitter i use for all mine too.
Luckely rc cars come at all sizes and prices so everyone can have fun!

I would note for what I paid in 99 for a radio battery and charger to go with my super hornet you could get a rtr bandit today. So they have gotten a lot cheaper
My 5yo daughter calls out "Pit Crew" when she rolls the RC Car then I have to get the yellow flag and pick it up then yell "Time" and she's off again.
I have 3 zombies, my son is 4. And EVERY time I flip or crash my Maxx, he yells “TUMBLE WUMBLE!”. We sit and watch your videos every day! He loves it!

Last time I did that my dad went full throttle with my tmaxx into a curb. After it was split in two, held together by a flimsy piece and 3 wheels, he was trying full throttle into the curb again. The only thing I salvaged was the motor.
We were in a large empty college parking lot. He had to go out of his way by a lot to hit that curb.
Because he has all the money to fix it if someone wreck it obviously much like how he torture all his rc. If you are someone who need to save money up really hard to buy some expensive toys I'm sure you wouldn't just "give the remote to anyone" 🙄

Too much fun! It’s an odd looking buggy but it seems to go well. Looked a bit understeery at first, did better later on. Could possibly use less stiff springs too.
That is honestly dirt cheap! They even have a 1/5 scale RTR 4WD gas buggy for $599.00 at Fearless Rc. I remember my first 1/5th Scale 2WD gas buggy cost me $3900.00 and I had to buy a radio and then put the whole thing together cause it came in small parts bags. It's a great time to be alive if you are into RC cars or any hobby. Everything is so inexpensive and works really well. The difference compared to back in the late 1990s or early 2000 is insane when it comes to prices and quality. It's so much better now. People who complain are too lazy to work harder and need to stop mooching off their parents, lol.

That petrol engine is impressive for the price, the pickup from a standing start is very quick unlike the 5T which takes a while to rev out and sounds pants lol.
Great value for the money and looks over engineered which is great 👌🏻

I agree with you about cost being subjective, but just to explain what I think other people are complaining about... $700 is cheap compared to the most expensive alternatives that you listed... but it is NOT cheap compared to the lower end alternatives. It's mid-range. It is mid-range and not "dirt cheap" because when compared to ALL reasonable alternatives it's roughly in the middle of the price range. Just because something costs less than the most expensive alternative does not mean it is "dirt cheap", there is a lot of middle ground there.
Yeah, the HSP cars are even less. Good luck with my skeleton so far.
I completely agree,last time he was calling a £300 electric car ‘dirt cheap ‘ when there are Wl toys etc with prices £100 or less and those are what I’d call dirt cheap

Not a bad buggy to put up with what you did. Would like to see the post bash footage to see what bent or broke though. Could use a bit larger pinion. I liked that it was relatively quiet.
What a $700 gas buggy. That's an amazing price point. How is that even possible. It looks respectable too. Man I was saving for a losi 5ive but this might be another solid 4x4 option.

I got one of these its a great buggy. Recommend the centre diff and VRC pipe. Running 23/54 gearing with OBR 34 SS, so it pulls like crazy

It reminded me 90s when I had almost the same looked toy. Smaller and not that crazy like this devil of course 🔥 but the same form, rear spoiler and wheels! Even colours! 😂 You woke up a little child in me now. I’ll buy one of the rc cars soon! 🏎😎

thats sweet buggy, just need suspension sorted out. Screw out droop/sag screws in a-arms so suspension can move and probably needs some softer springs or less preload;
do that and itll handle 10x better ;

Love ur work. So jelly of the fun. It's so easy to break stuff. I make 10 an hour at an animal shelter and have my 12 year old by my side. My radio controlled car from China and a speedmen in the house. Wish I could own the Xmax... I would only cruise in the grass and blaze. I would take vids and send them.

Top review on this buggy Kev, I reckon $750 is a pretty fair price for a mental buggy like this, especially considering Losi 5T will cost you 3 times as much and anything by Primal 5 times the price

Nice! That Rovan Baja Max TS is sick! Deff get it! Fifth Scale Or Bust Rc actually designed and built the worlds first baja max ts he has the build vids on his channel and first run and jump vids, then Dan at Rovan liked it so much he made it a production model you saw there! Its the widest 1/5 baja you can buy you will love it!

When I got my king motor x2 (losi 5ive T) many years ago it was $800, now they're $12 or $1,300. $700 is pretty cheap these days.
