It was once said the a Glaswegian Canter in Kelvingrove Park can be heard inside the castle in Edinburgh and if heard on a Saturday afternoon can quieten down an Old Firm game into submission.
I don't know why but it always comes out that there's a huge amount of basket cases in my hometown... I wouldn't be surprised if we were talking about Glasgow and other alienating 'central belt' city suburbias, but... this used to be such a peaceful, lovely, dignified (in the sense of 'old British dignity', you know what I mean), typical Scottish coastal town... what's been happening over the last 20 years? I've been far away, it's not my fault, but... I'm shocked.

The 3 things that stand out to me are 1. He had to be told it was his wee lassie, thank god she provided the information or he might not have known! 2.
