You know what I love about GoT... their dedication to sports. This episode we get sword play, archery, and Equestrian styles. Love it.

Daenerys did listen to everyone, she didn't fly her dragons to the Red Keep. She fought them on the battle field away from civilians and children.

Better burn the last harvest so people (including her own) have nothing to eat come winter. What a victory it is...

@@sydnitheromantictaylor112 Daenerys had the military advantage here. It would have been easy for her to have the Dothraki secure the food wagons and then safely escort them across the plain. Or even better, she could have given some of the harvest back to the smallfolk. I'm sure that would have earned her some devotion. Again, she clearly had the military advantage. She could have bargained with the lower lords, taken prisoners, and showed mercy towards the soldiers. There was no need to use the dragons to burn countless people to death. But alas....

@@blueyonder41 we all have a right to our own opinions if anyone else had a dragon they'd use it as well and nobody would talk shit about it, Stannis fleet got burned with wildfire and thousands died then and nobody talks shit about that, Cersei burnt innocents in the sept but nobody talks shit ablut that and if she took prisoners that means she'd have to have people watching them 24/7 taking to the bathroom feeding them and risk them trying to escape the second someone turns a blind eye

@@sydnitheromantictaylor112I just wanted to point out that Daenerys had many options and chose a very destructive path. This reflects badly on her abilities as a queen and contradicts her claim to want to build a better world. This "better world" can't be accomplished by using dragons in warfare (or wildfire for that matter). Her actions on that battlefield show she is no different, only more of the same.

  • @sydnitheromantictaylor112

    Arya vs Brienne was awesome!
Its a shame that they were taking all the food and grain from the farmers at the reach but I'm glad it got scorched by Drogon (yes I know half the country will be starved but it was going to happen anyway b/c it was all going to Cersei) but in order to keep Kings Landing from getting attacked, then war of attrition is the best way to go, the ppl will go hungry and turn on Cersei first.

It wasn’t HBO It was d&d. HBO actually wanted more seasons and a longer season 7. I still can’t believe season 8 lmao. They ruined the entire show for me in one season and it wasn’t even a full season lmao it was six episodes.

There is a reason why the lannister soldiers were humanised (episode with Ed shereen). It’s to show that most men who go to war have to feed there fam or cause they have no option.
Tyrion’s face also shows how unnecessary it was for Dany to use her dragons. She had an army of Dothraki! Who by themselves are beasts on an open field. She could have used just them to gain a victory without burning ppl.
This is basically the field of fire 2.0.
This gains her no favour from the westerosi ppl. She’s just more of the same in their eyes. Another Targaryen with a dragon come to subjugate everyone and get them to bend the knee for HER new world.
All this is going to haunt her in season 8 mark my words.
    DRAGONS PLANT NO TREES.

Tyrion can shut the fuck up. He burnt alive thousands with wildfire. Also, let's ignore that the Seven Kingdoms were subjugated before the Targaryens arrived, many of them being enslaved. Also, what the hell is point in having a weapon if you're not going to use it? Robb Stark shouldn't have used his direwold to rip throats out of people as they would have won anyway. The U.S. shouldn't have nuked Japan twice as they could have defeated Japan anyway, having isolated them.

Yeah, why on earth would you want to burn your enemies with dragonfire that is so powerful they are turned to ash within 5 seconds (in some scenes) when you could just let your soldiers fight it out? You would probably only have an extra 1,000+ of your soldiers die anyway for not using the power of a dragon to end the battle quickly in your favor, thus limiting the casualties of your own army. So silly.
[since this happens a lot on CZcams, I am stating the above is sarcasm. Anyone who would have a dragon and not use them to spare the lives of their troops because of some unfounded compassion for the enemy army is, undoubtedly, a moron.]

    • @dillonmartin5102
      @dillonmartin5102 Před 3 lety +5

The Dothraki follow the strong. Dany couldn’t send her army and not fight along side them and besides she’s not that kind of queen. She’s wasn’t gonna let her men fight without her and she literally has the best weapons, her children and she would be stupid not to use them when everyone else would if they had one. She should have taken kingslanding after this. She then would have killed less people and would have had the other kingdoms to fight the dead. The only reason that didn’t happen was so they could make her “mad”. Stupid asf.
