It's strange because a friend of mine knew Diana, among other British stars, well. Her late husband worked for Pinewood studios back in the 60's and they were friends for many years yet my friend always had nothing but fondness and admiration for Diana. Not once did she say how bad or corrupt she was, only how kind, popular and how fun she was. 'Allegedly' is a word used too often to cover up complete fabrication and sensationalism.
After Diana died, her husband (Alan Lake) committed suicide as he cldnt live without her. Their son (Jason Lake), also an alcoholic like his father, committed suicide to in 2019, age 50. Very tragic.

It has to come from a real place to be convincing and we really feel her pain when she is in prison. SPOILER ALERT for youtubers who haven't seen the film...... Diana played a complex character, she is both a villain and a victim. A villain because she is an adulterer and murderer, and a victim because she is a young, kind, decent person who couldn't handle her infatuation and snapped because of it. The worst part was when she is in prison and she was never allowed to sleep with the light off and therefore she could never get restful deep sleep. It is considered a form of torture that eventually affects her emotions and mind. Add to that the uncertainty of her outcome. The way we care about her character is thanks to Diana's portrayal.

With me being an african american woman I went through the same thing but I wasn't an actress or singer but I'm junior high school and senior high I was just liked these women where I was judge. I had a boyfriend who was so jealous of me including his friends he used to talk about me to other people including other women spreading malicious gossip rumors, and would send women to fight me only because I was beautiful ❤️. In junior high and senior high school I was gang raped by other boys and was portrayed as a person that didn't belong. As I grew up and got older working as a casual Mail clerk with the united states' postal service, I was harassed by all females and males on the workforce and resigned and worked as a temporary clerk at another federal government facility such as the housing authority of the city of Los Angeles, and the county of Los Angeles department of probation office as a temporary clerk so I know what these women been through. So basically I was bullied in school, job and neighborhood, including church
Tressy - Thank you for sharing your story. I experienced similar problems during high school, although not as extreme as what you described happened to you. Even as I got older I dealt with women who bullied me at work or in social situations because they were jealous and I had to fight off guys making unwanted sexual advances, leering, making degrading comments who would then insult me or spread rumors about me when I resisted or declined their advances.
I’ve been in a loving marriage for 20 years now but the scars are there.

Diana was very highly thought of in the UK and still is to this day - She was very intelegent and had a great sense of humour - sometimes her humour could be a little on the dark side .She also liked mixing with rather interesting but rather rough people - Like the Kray Twins - Anyone who doesnt know who they are should check them out and it will give you an idea of the rather mixed bag of people she socialised with at times

I remember seeing Diana in an Adam Ant video when she was younger. I'm a huge fan of 80s music and when I saw her, I immediately recognized her. She was absolutely stunning! Why are women of these days so freaking gorgeous??? Must have been something in the wine lol
