ELEVEN IS FORGETTABLE???? Sorry, but no! I can't! This song is stuck in my head since my first time hearing it. It's a great and memorable song. I will never stop appreciating Liz's vocals on that song 😭
I felt like the rap was perfectly placed. The sample would have been overused if they didn’t add anything to it for three times, plus they devoured, and dives have been waiting to hear gaeul and rei rap since neither eleven and love dive had rapping parts (nor did they need it)
The rap is so good and the fact that rei wrote it herself is 👩🍳😘
I actually loved ‘after like’. The song itself was very good, the mv and the settings were amazing. The song was also well written and not just a bunch of sentences put together!
I totally disagree with you on the rap. I think Rei is such a underrated rapper. And the fact they had part in writing it too! I respect your opinion but I would just like for you to give the rap a second chase please!
Pop, Pink Venom,and After like is a bop for me idc wht ppl said and yea the sampling trend is growing on KPop recently and ofc it has a bad and a positive sides of it. The one example is Red velvet who using air on the g string sample from Bach to feel my rhythm song and ppl just said the song was kinda overrated while It's a best experimental song in my opinion

I absolutely love this comeback! The outfits were really cool and fit Ive super well. I loved the dark modern theme and then the switch to a colorful theme to match the old-school song energy. The song was a great blend of bringing a classic groovy song to a new generation. Anyways, I'm so pleased with their comeback and I think it's going to do great.

I think After Like wasn’t as easily to remember with the lyrics, but to this day, Eleven and Love Dive remains in my brain forever. Even the choreo will stay in my mind to the day I die. It was an amazing song and I loved it, personally. But it won’t top Eleven and Love Dive for me.
The only negative thing at least for me personally was the uneven lines,parts distribution because one of the members doesn't appear until the second verse and one member has lines in every part of the song it takes away from the essence of a group I want to see all the members equally otherwise the song is fine as it is an easy listen
you must be kidding me. ik you are trying to shade wonyoung for being the company's favourite and having more lines but go and watch the MV again and speak. in the first verse all members except Gaeul appear. second verse everyone appears except leeseo. then rei's and gaeul's rap, then at the ending everyone has their fair share of lines except gaeul. idc if you think the song is trash but don't cry with unfair line distribution bs with one member in this song. "takes away from the essence" what? every member has their own separate colour and verses in this song. so weird. if anything, this song is about gaeul not having enough lines rather than that one member taking away the essence of the group, because all rest of the five members are consistently present from start to end.

After Like isn’t my favorite MV by them, but the song easily topped Love Dive and Eleven for me. As we already know they used the sample for the chorus, it sounds so good. Not only that, the verses and the rap was good as well. The visuals I can say is amazing, not overly great but it’s really nice especially the fire work scene. Loved the chorus choreography.
I just think that people are hating to an extreme or taking things to seriously when it comes to music nowadays, especially Kpop. If you don’t like it, that’s fine and constructive criticism is welcomed. But it does become a problem when it’s constant and when the “criticism” is really just hate or especially bandwagon hate (as well as to get views). Pink venom and Pop received the same reviews as After Like, yet everyone is coming after these girls for music they don’t like? Hm.

i also feel the same ab the unnecessary rap verses in kpop but it was honestly better than most ones we are getting recently and i feel like if they didn't add it and just let that sample part play again it would get repetitive so for me it was smart to save it for the end, love the song

My problem was in screen time or attention Liz in particular the rest of the members got "blingy" outfits but hers was more plain for her individual scene more casual too. For the yellow one with Leeseo I can say the same also but for other individual shots she had that sparkle. Her lines and outfit (individual shot) was visibly unfair. I know alot of persons are speaking on this but I couldn't deny the obvious

I think the rap makes its better...without the rap the song is going to be plain..n the rap is pretty cool..it gives the feeling of desperation after crushing on smone u become more infatuated n feel the need to love...also it is because two ive singles already have similar arrangements so it is nice they change it up a bit eventhough it was quite a typical bridge rap style..i still caught of guard by that verse
Nah, after like was easily a 8.5/10 after my very first listen. Yea the sampling makes it seem a bit out of place but everything else is on point and fresh. I was not expecting the rap over the sampling and the rap honestly slapped.

1. You speak to the girls like they are in charge of ‘concepts’ or ‘songs’ which is terribly wrong.
2. The company only gave attention to ‘Eleven’ and ‘Love Dive’ and ‘AL’ now… still too soon to say something like ‘that’s not their sound!’ we don’t know their sound yet.
3. I agree the sample is carrying AfterLike, without it… idk
the reason Ive has difference concept photos is that they are making a color spectrum! every member has a color (example wonyoung red and rei green). if u look at the after like poster u see colors at the edges. those are the girls. but what happens if u put the colors with light together? u get white. so their summer film is white. the hotel pictures are the color black. also all them together!

Idk if it's just me, but I felt like the transition from the intro/verse part to the "what's after like" was a little bit weird; I feel like they really wanted to use the sampling but it was a bit off for me. I don't dislike the song at all; I just didn't like it as much as Love Dive.

This song grows on me but kinda fed with wonyoung’s facial expressions which were all the same in all their mvs. Liz didnt have much part on this one. She has a nice voice and it was kinda wasted here.
The only thing i didn’t like was that Gaeul didnt get lines until the song was about to be over. I was expecting for her to get the first chorus and when she didn’t I thought she would’ve gotten lines in the 2nd verse… BUT NO they really need to utilize her more✋🏾
in general, most ggs this year have been killing it (which im so grateful for after the shit year that was 2021), and ive is no exception. love dive was pretty nice, addictive with the “narcissistic” line, but this? top tier, like there are only a few songs i’ve heard from just their teaser that i knew instantly it was a hit, and this is one of them. the vocals, the rap, the instrumental, the dance, the vibe, everything works and put ive as top contenders for the rookies this year.

I don’t think what black pink did is considered sampling because they didn’t use the actual audio from the song, also kpop has been sampling for a long ass time, like way longer and way more groups than you think. I’d go so far as to say a good 50% of kpop songs have at least some sort of sample in them and it’s been happening for years. It’s really nothing new.
I think the sample carried the song, without it, it would’ve been nothing special. If your song relies on another persons song completely it’s not a good sign.
For some reason, this song gave me SUPER Christmas vibes. It would be better if they released it near new year or December. Love The song tho!! ❤️❤️

I LOVE the song! Only IVE makes me fall in love from the first listen! I was already singing the lyrics of the first chorus. I was surprised to hear that you didn't like the prechorus, because I think it totally fit with the song and made me excited to hear the chorus. When the rap part came, I felt like it wasn't good but then, it started blending well with the instrumental and the rest of the song. All in all, 'After Like' was really good and I'm excited to watch them perform (even though I wasn't really paying attention to the choreography this time.)

i've only heard the song once and tbh its not as impressive as eleven or love dive to me. yes after like is good, but in my opinion love dive is better and eleven remains superior for me. also it feels like i've heard this song before idk why. i ant the biggest fan of the rap part, it kinda felt like it needed more flow, i think i have to listen to it again

I was honestly kind of worried that the chorus was going to be just the sample like they showed us in the teaser and nothing else, so I was very please to hear the chorus because it is catchy as hell haha the rap part you mention I understand why you didn't like it that much but in my opinion it worked very good actually, like it makes the post chorus not sound very repetitive and with the vibe of the song it doesn't feel out of place

This is the most honest reaction I've seen so far. Like i was excited because the teaser seems promising especially with the 'i will survive' sample which made me curious. But when i finally listened to the song, i just don't know where it's going? I feel like there are three parts of the song. The chorus, not the chorus, and the rap part. They don't seem to flow and blend well... tbh i prefer their previous releases. Or maybe this one is just not my cup of tea.

Honestly im expecting for a rap from rei and gaeul coz they're rarely rapping on the main singles i only hear them rapping on B-sides, rei's rap verse on after like, i like it, it got me some shit! But when gaeul's rapping i was taken aback, it doesnt fit for gaeul to rap that verse, the mixing was good but chaotic the ins, vocals and adlibs are overlapping too much, gaeul's last rap line overlapped by whats after like line was just messy but overall i love the song, its catchy as fvck, and my hips is working on its own once sampled strings was dropped and it's hella of a banger comBUCK! gurl💅

The cameras in each member's solo scenes were seen, they didnt crop it out or take it away and it kinda distracted me from the member's solo shines, I thought it was intentional but not until I saw other netizens complain abt it too and the camera work was...no- I set my quality to HD quality but its slightly blurry in my pov
