  • As a VIP since 2009... I defended him at first. I was like "Wth SBS trying to do this time to bring down Big Bang and YG?"
I told myself "No way he could be like that, he's innocent just like Park Bom!"
But now all that left in me is a disappointment. I feel betrayed. I'm speechless. Can't imagine how his family and Big Bang members feel right now....

lmao kpop is fooling many fans these days. This is common sense everything in the video is but I can see how many overlooked it. When I first discovered kpop TOP got me into it, I thought he was a solo artist (discovered his single turn it up) but after studying him and the group I always knew there may be some shit about them in the future to come out, especially with seungri. weird dynamic of whether he was the problem or if the group members were bullying him. Why is this news anyone? I feel you and I know how it feels to believe in big bang only for them to crumble like this but keep it real - all of them are problematic minus daesung somewhat and taeyang. I adore TOP but he needs therapy and time away from the group.
IDK how anyone even VIPS could view them like they weren't capable of this.
wake up sis why do all kpop fans especially dedicated ones (2nd gen or new gen) think that kpop is a fairy tale rainbowworld that doesn't have scams, scheming, lies, trafficking and sex issues? it's an ENTERTAINMENT industry with an extremely complex and sensitive society so they created a warped veil that could be useful but is being abused and harming both the stars and fans alike in order to paint an image of innonce so we all get invested in them. This is just like american industry. Kpop fans have this weird thing (not directing this at you*) where if you told them "hey seungri is engaging in sexual exploitation" 2 or 3 years ago even back then they would curse you to the ground and gang up on you saying it's not true cause oppa is perfect xyz. You guys need to start doing research, getting hip to the american industry secrets and study how it works. Then you will be able to spot problematic patterns in korean and overseas stars period.

@@60wwediva "keep it real - all of them are problematic minus daesung somewhat and taeyang." Nonsense. The only one who is problematic if Seungri, allegedly. They should be allowed to date.
I won't ever support kpop and korean entertainment industry again after learning they are forced into prostitution, bunch of old farts ruined korean entertainment industry, they have no understanding of music art, all they do is get 5-10 beautiful girls in a group make them do vulgar dance with retarded stupid songs while raping them in back stage or forcing them to sleep with pathetic old fart elites. This way actual talent never even dares to come forward, the saddest part is that i found out that rape is a popular thing among korean men and they see women only as sex objects, women get harassed and raped everywhere and all korean men are in on it, even the government. Bunch of disgraceful, prideless and spineless men. These are the same type of cowards you see come to concerts only to see those women to do vulgar dances, bunch of dumb cunts, few even tried to rape one of the female singer, police didn't do anything cuz they are in on it ofcourse (the whole korean rape culture), fans my ass.
I will never see korean people in the same way again, it's just fucking pathetic.
You guys seriously need to work on what entertainment industry can do with contracts:
The first thing needed is to put an end to the requirement of women staying single because this way they have no way to confide in someone, or if they get too poor then the company can't force them into prostitution, they can rely on there partner.
Sencondly they should be chosen based on there talent such as singing and acting, not based on rather they can be forced into prostitution or not.
Contract should clearly mention that if they are being forced into prostitution or sexually harassed, the penalty for breaking the contract will not apply.
The contract clearly mention what kind of sexual nature of work will be required and to what extent, e.g. vulgar dance with lets say 60% clothing or something like that etc.
These are just few things that can be done.

Of course they were serious, because even if they didn’t knew exactly what crazy stuff he did, they had serious suspicions about his activities, considering the fact that he was surrounded by shady people/friends. Or maybe they simply thought that he will eventually leave BB to only concentrate on his businesses, and that’s why they said that. And with them 4 leaving for military, he would have been on his own, free to do God knows what, out of their sights, so of course they were concerned about BB’s future. I actually watched a video with them, and GD was telling Seungri to watch himself while they’re in the military, because if he does something wrong, BB as a whole will be affected too, not just him. No one talked about his “red flags” back then because no one noticed, until now, when we all know all the shit he was involved in. Too easy. Everyone just understood now, and analyzed these old videos and connected them to what we know now. analyzed these old videos and connected them to what we know now. No one in the past could have imagined that he was like this, not even in his most sinister fanfics. It's easy to talk now about "was always that one that had so many SO MANY red flags", now that you know about the truth, but in the past, you would never connect everything to what he was involved in and could guess. That's not how things work. This sounds like as if people are to blame for not "noticing" something that again, NO ONE COULD EVER GUESS, rather than himself

In all honesty, seungri looking more and more shady wasn't started from one thing. it was a collection of things and behaviors that led to him looking more and more suspicious until he was caught. it wasn't just him moving out of the dorms. it wasn't just him starting his own business. it wasn't just him branching out to other careers. it wasn't just him going overseas a lot. it wasn't just him partying a lot. it wasn't just him roleplaying the real life great gatsby. it wasn't just him opening up Burning Sun and co-owning it. it wasn't just his career being a DJ. It wasn't just his flash drive with hundreds of folders filled with porn under actress' names. it wasn't just his members giving out cryptic messages about how he should be careful. It wasn't just him ignoring everyone who was close to his, big bang or his family.
All of these things don't sound susipcious by themselves, but if we add them altogether, there is a picture to be seen and it's not pretty. it's a series of actions that show seungri as a man who cared about business and having fun partying like every shady rich person in a movie. He prioritized making money, but also having fun rich orgies (joke but possibly true lmao). which makes him careless and that carelessness is what made him get caught in the end.
and like the Great Gatsby, Seungri is a man who went to the top of the world only to fall down from his own pedestal. He is an Icarus who flew to close to the sun and burned to ashes in shame. now he sits behind bars for various charges including prostitution (from that great gatsby party), embezzlement, bribery, illegal gambling, and violation of foreign currency exchange and food hygiene laws.

For those who said that Bigbang members are guilty because "They are close, they know it. They are guilty of association." did you blame Ted Bundy's wife for murder too? She knows there is something off about him, but not the extent of his crime. Same with Bigbang members. They have different schedules outside of their group and have friends. How they spend each other's free time is not their business. Seungri chose his own path. Don't blame the others for his crimes.
Seungri didn't even invite them to his parties, how much more of his activities outside of their group. They know what kind of crowd Seungri associated himself with that's why they were calling him out and have given him warnings. But Seungri is an adult capable of making decisions. He chose not to listen to his members. It's not their problem anymore. They have done their part. It's similar to encouraging your alcoholic mother to stop drinking, but at the end of the day, your mom will make the decision herself.
Lastly, don't trust your idol is innocent. We only see what they wanted us to see.

I remember that I was watching this video back then when the Burning Scandal was exposed.
Now, im watching it again after watching the BBC documentary about the scandal. Looking back, everything made sense.
In BigBang, Seungri was the least popular member so I think that he felt overshadowed by his member so he felt an inferiority complex by that.
You can tell how hard he was trying to appeared funny on variety shows, how his personality was a bit off compared to the other members, the way he was treating women like shit but brushed off as a joke. So him being friend with wealthy business men, shady people, creating his own business was a way for him to feed his ego and to not feel an inferiority complex given by the fact that he was the least talented and popular member from the group. From this video, we can tell that the members were warning him but he decided to not listening to them because he already chose money and power over his own group.
Furthermore, I just wanted to talk about the victims, whose life changed forever and deserve peace. This Korean corrupted law system who don't see women as people and is protecting rich men because they have money and power is disgusting. Also, the fact that Seungri and the men guilty from this scandal are free (or almost free) and are trying to act like nothing happened is concerning about how the Korean society is treating women as a whole.
Seungri didn't change at all and is tying to open a club in Cambodia, Jung Joon Young (another idol convicted on the Burning Sun scancal) is rumoured to make a return on the music industry. Meanwhile, the women victims of the burning sun scandal are still being shamed to this day and still didn't get the justice they deserved.

Also to correct you, in BB Daesung is the least popular not him. He could’ve been a very successful entrepreneur had he not engaged such activities in club and just open a normal club. His actions cannot be condemned no matter how everyone else see it. In other words, it’s sad that Korean laws are very misogynistic that they take r*pe as a non serious crime. That’s how it goes ig. He's been with the members for 10+ years but still didn't wanna invite them for his birthday party, knowing that they're gonna go to military the next year. How selfish do you have to be to not invite people who have been with you for years but throw a whole party for some people who you just met?TOP even said that this wasn't the case in the past. And when he did talk, it was just about money, business, profit, not music or normal conversation. Seungri really avoided the members and instead chose to be friends with shitty people. GD being upset him about the birthday thing really shows that he really drifted away from them , enough to not consider them as important as his so- called friends. It must be very frustrating for them to see him being involved with shady people but they couldn't do anything since he's an adult with his own decisions and they could only scold and warn him but the choice and decision lied in Seungri's hands. I think since he wasn't popular for a specific thing, he wanted to start a business and be known for that. Though he seriously isn't fit to do business. During that period, I would always get weird vibes from their interviews, the four members always seemed to be in sync, but Seungri acted different from them. He didn't feel as genuine as they did, and it was always clear that GD and T.O.P. weren't so excited by his presence. When I found out about what happened, everything made sense. We can see the other hyungs try to fix Seungri but Daesung never really tried. GD and TOP were very sad to see him fall and tried talking some sense into him but on the other hand, Taeyang knew whatever he says would never really reach Seungri so he was just trying passively. When i first heard about big bang, it was the time when they did that parody of secret garden. I remember i found sengri so innocent and saw he had so much potential in the acting career. Even from watching videos of his and the group, I could see how he may have been the least popular one (especially when gd and teayang were so popular) that i often felt sorry that he was overshined.
I think that this probably led to a change in his personality tbh. Inferiority complex is a huge thing, and i think seungri suffered from that.
Added with the fact that he most likely hung out with the wrong crowd who probably fed into his ego made the fire start growing bigger. He probably felt powerful and on top of the world, something he probably never felt with big bang.
For the oast few years before his "retirement," he didn't struck me as a musician anymore, but more so like a businessman who cared a lot about money. I had a lot of off vibes from him watching him in variety shows.

I feel like what really got to him was the fact that he knows or people say that he was just an "add-on" to the group or people say he just got in because of his face. He wanted to feel something somewhere and he got that with his other friends. He felt the attention, "love" and "respect" there but as TOP said it's his status his friends want. When YG, celebrated his bday, Seungri cried because maybe at last he felt acknowledged. Even if his hyungs made him feel valued, I guess when you get something you long for so much, it's just so hard to let go of. His Dad telling him they're worried seemed to hurt his pride too even when his Dad explained the reason behind it, I feel like he still got offended. It's either he keeps silent or changes the subject when he's being called out. Maybe same thing happens with his hyungs so the hyungs just resorted to passive aggressiveness even in front of the cameras, thinking that it would scare him somehow or open his eyes but yeah we're here now.

I agree with you. He seems to think of their concerns as nagging or lecturing, which he doesn't want. I think he really wanted to be known for something like the other four members. And he got that attention and acknowledgement through his shitty friends who he thought were liking him for himself but really only wanted the status. He even started to ignore the BB members and his parents, just to go to those friends who probably boosted his ego. And he was desperate to not let that go. He didn't invite the members to his birthday, didn't visit his family even once but all he did was to hangout with his friends. All these things really got to his head and he ended up like this. If he could just see that the members, especially GD&TOP weren't lecturing him but warning him of the bad crowd he's with and his changing mindest, as being obsessed with money and how to make more of it and the wrong direction he's going in, he wouldn't have ended up in this situation. Yeah and I feel bad about the parents now. What would their reactions have been once the news got out and he was proven guilty? His dad asked seungri to at least eat with him once a year meaning he probably didnt visit them at all unless it was purely coincidental. That's so sad. He valued his "friendships" elsewhere.
