Any updates on the helmet now that you’ve had it for a couple months? I bought the ft4 pro shoulder pads after your review so really interested in additional thoughts on this helmet.
Still like it, best helmet on market now for comfort for sure. It’s not the lightest though with the nest tech. So you sacrifice that a bit as there is lighter helmets and if you rather have lightness than worth looking at a few others, older reackts for example where nice. For me helmet has to be pure comfort since I play a lot of back to backs and uncomfortable helmets give me a headache. Had a few of those in the past. Nice to hear on the fr4 shoulders great uppers as well.
Have you noticed it molds to your head better over time? I just got mine, and there are a few pressure points I'm wondering if they will get worked in.
I don't know what it is about the proportions of this helmet, but it just doesn't look right to me. Do you see that too in person? Is it too wide, too tall, something else? Curious what you think.
I used to have a Bauer IMS 5.0 and hated it because I got 2 concussions with it and it was pretty uncomfortable. I picked up a CCM Fitlite FL 500 and I really like it though it is a bit heavy. I also have a CCM Vector V08 which I also really like but it is also a bit heavy. How does this compare to both of them?
Unfortunately I haven’t used those helmets however this helmet is mostly about comfort and fit. Also depending on level you play ( hitting or not ) helmet choice would be important. This doesn’t have best impact ratings. Mostly I would think it’s for recreation and comfort over protection in high end hitting hockey
How much do you spend on skates? 1k ish... how much do you spend on sticks? Don't ask... would you pay extra for something that protects your head? Ahhh good point.

Not really no, the materials is pretty rigid. I found the cf-100 better for that

It’s larger for sure. Makes you look like a. Egg head a bit lol but it’s comfy. I think they can stream line it a bit in the next gen
i want this helmet because the nest tech could help my head stay cool. the hyperlite helmet has these black ridge things that are really uncomfortable

I don’t really feel a weight difference between the hyperlite helmet and my own helmet(I tried it on in a hockey shop)

With the mesh it more molds your head just ensure you get your normal size and will fit nice and snug
