    Hi. Love your channel.
My grandma used to cook pudding on the stove with milk.
I was too young to remember her ingredients, but your video reminds me of her pudding. She made it on the stove hot milk and chocolate. When it cooled in the refrigerator it had a hard "skin" film on the top, under neath was smooth and creamy.

      Actually it’s very easy.
4 c. Milk, 1c. sugar, 1/2c. cocoa, and 1/4c. corn starch. (Some do a pinch of salt. 1 tsp. Vanilla. 1tbsp. Butter)
*to prevent that ‘skin’ on top, you lay cling wrap on top but it must be touching the pudding.
But I like the skin, it tends to have a bit more ‘bitter’ taste that goes nice with the creamy underneath.
My kids were spoiled when small. I bake everything. Of course my kids were shocked when the first saw that you can buy soup in a can. But my wife and I enjoy cooking together, it’s about the only time we like each other 🤪. Well except for when we made the boys😳🤦‍♂️🙄😂.

I made it today. I just put two cups of sugar and it was still very sweet. I think I would add it to another dessert, like cake, rather than eat it on its own. But it's very nice. 👍🏼
Edit: I thought the recipe was saying two or three cups of sugar. Now I see it's two thirds of a cup of sugar. No wonder it's so sweet. 🤣

In India, we make almost a similar dessert, but without using the eggs. We call it " Mishti Doi " (sweet curd). After adding the boiled milk into the caramel, we add some green cardamom powder and let the milk become little warm. Then add 2/3 spoonful of plain curd and let it set for 5/6 hours. Then keep the dessert in the fridge. That's it. Its delicious and very soothing.

Yes I know this sweet. In Germany we call it Pudding, in Italy it's called crema pasticciera and in Greece we call it κρέμα.
Just we don't boil the milk in the beginning and we don't caramelise the sugar, instead we mix sugar, vanilla, starch and egg yolks with a little bit of milk and then add slowly the whole amount of milk and after that we heat it. So we only need one pot. And the amount of egg yolks can vary and some people use whole eggs. In Greece we also add cinamon on top, in Italy and Germany no. In Italy they can add a bit of gratet lemon peel. And in all 3 mentioned countries they can also add cocoa powder. In Germany I also have eaten it with melted chocolate inside.

@@irnasarwar5015 the more eggs you add, the less starch you need. The yolks give more taste, than the egg white, so the more yolks, the tastier. Theoretically you can also add 9 eggs if you use enough milk. I think the ratio should be around 6 eggs for 1 Liter of milk, but you'd better google that. I personally for 1 Liter of milk use 6 full table spoons of starch or flour, 6 table spoons of sugar and 2-3 eggs (depends on the size).

We don't use corn starch here in India. We curdle up the caramelised milk(by keeping the mix undisturbed for a day or two in room temperature) with pistachio, ground cardamom and little pieces of almonds, saffron flower petals and cashew nuts. After the curd forms, we refrigerate it for serving after a couple of hours.
I'll try this one though, looks and should be tasty. Thanks for posting. 🙏🏻😊
