I have that exact tube. I squeezed some into my pearl cream, mix and use at night. A pea sized amout will not do for me although I did use too much and burned my skin, prompting me to mix with my cream at night. My skin is glowing 🎉
Great advice Doc 👍 God Bless ✝️ 🙏 ❤
Maybe I just have an unusually large face but the recommended "pea-sized" amount never felt like it was enough to reach my entire face. I use retinaldehyde serum in a dropper and it's much easier to get a small amount spread out.
When I wake up at 6am I usually shower and wash my face and do my usual skin care routine. When I'm back home I do my workout and shower again obviously and wash my face again with my cleanser. When I go out for dinner after that or meet with friends and I come back home, should I cleanse my face again or is that too much?
@@byCeevu if you have a gentle cleanser then its ok to wash it that much
In the morning when I wake up I just wash my face with warm water no soap...and then add sunscreen so I can go drop of my girls to school... when I come back I do a little work out...shower and then that's when I do my face routine..
Same. I need a large pea size. He must have a tiny face. I also go down my neck and chest.
I use a pea size over the counter retinol at night. I wish I would have know about these products when I was in my twenties but there was no CZcams, no you, no computers not even color tv😂
Thank you
I live in Denmark and I went to a dermatologist and ask for tretinoin. Didn’t notice at the time but my pharmacy did give something different than the prescription they often tend to give out similar products that can do the same usual something where you save money.
But I have something called Aklief 50 mikrog trifaroten… really unsure if I got a weaker product
Dr Dray has a couple videos about Aklief and Dr. Sam Ellis has a video going over how to find the right retinoid for your skin and talks about different brands/different strengths.
I started that exact Tretinoin 7 months ago for anti aging. Can it be used under the eyes ?
is suggest not doing it. it will make your skin under the eyes really dry and irritated
Can tretinoin be used on the neck?
Is Retina good to use..
Is it by prescription only?
What will happen if I apply too much retinol every night ? Will it worsen my melasma ?
What can I use if I have very sentive ezma skin?
Syahrini, sesuatu....
What I don’t understand is all dermatologists say vitamin c is super unstable yet they tell you to use it in the morning where it gets exposed to sunlight
Only l-ascorbic acid is unstable. And vit c boosts the efficacy of your sunscreen so it's great during the day to fight free radical damage
Well yes. So why do they tell you to use l ascorbic acid during the day with its highly unstable and oxidizes when exposed to sunlight?
@paulleveriza2090 basically the vitamin c will take the damage instead of your skin. So it enhances your skins protection
I realize you're young doctor but id like to raise a concern about the advocating sunscreens. I'm redheaded and SUPER FAIR and a senior. As a child there were no sunscreen products. I learned to limit my sun exposure to mornings and late afternoons or cover up to prevent burns and excessive frecklining. Skin cancer was unheard of. My parent's perspective. Then all the tanning oils started becoming popular in 70s. We went from 1 product, coppertone (or alternatively baby oil), to a massive amount of tanning products like Tropicana. Lifeguards used Zink oxide on noses, cheeks and shoulders too. Nothing for redheads who cannot tan one ounce. Then in late 70s weak sunscreens started to appear. I would break out in poison-ivy-like rashes where applied and burn anyway. So immediately discontinued. Over the years, sunscreen products got "stronger" but still caused me rashes and zero protection (still burned). [What's worse, it's now in moisturizers and makeup!]
The rise in skin cancer has exponentially increased proportional to the number and of sunscreen products.
Can you address this, the correlations, and links between sunscreen ingredients and skin cancers.
My pastor's son died of melenoma at 18yo. He played sports (baseball) so excessive exposure to hottest part of the day and since he was redheaded, he used a lot of sunscreen. Dermatologists today warn fair-skinned people about sun exposure and unfortunately promote sunscreen. My suspicions are they dont think about how mich of those chemicals are in everything. They're cooking on your skin in direct sunlight.
My common sense (and skin reactions) tell me this can't be good!
What if am 17?
Obviously talk to your doctor first, but he said under 25 cleaner, moisturizer and sunscreen. Over 25 then you can worry about anti aging stuff.
