Hey Ken, I had also flirted with the AXP bash plate, but it was too bulky for me. Exactly for the reasons you mentioned, I installed the Acerbis bash plate 2 years ago. The additional advantage is that the side stand switch is better protected. This part is really vulnerable. However, I subsequently drilled a 30 mm hole in the area of the oil sight glass to better control the oil level. I'm still totally happy with the part. Greetings from Germany.👍

I think I saw you had your AXP for sale on marketplace was gonna hit you up, but now i'm thinking i might go acerbis on skidplate, engine guards, and water pump coverage ........
Thanks for this vid! I have also narrowed it down to these two bashplates and was kind of leaning towards the AXP, but now I'm not so sure anymore 😂 The Acerbis looks great. Did you ever try out the AXP and if so what did you think of it?
@rstking123 the AXP looks to be more robust looking, but ultimately, the way it looks would bother me. It's just too bulky looking.
I think it would look good to paint the gray exhaust part on the black.
why don't you try the 3dmoto carbon baseplate? super light and extreme strong
Cool video. Does Acerbis skidplate allow for the oil level check? You mentioned that AXP had a hole matching that of oil check but can’t see if the Acerbis allows for checking there as well
@@musique2005 the acerbis does have a view but it's very hard to see actually. Needs a flashlight
