Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
Some of you have been asking for it for a very long time, now it's finally done. The music from "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" is one of my favorite Hans Zimmer soundtracks, even though I haven't seen the movie yet. This piano version is based on the tracks "Homeland" and "Run Free". Enjoy the longest arrangement I've done so far! - Hudba
"The story that I want to tell you cannot be found in a book. They say the history of the West was written from the saddle of a horse, but it's never been told from the heart of one. Not till now. I was born here, in this place that would come to be called the old West. But to my kind, the land was ageless. It had no beginning and no end, no boundary between Earth and sky. Like the wind in the buffalo grass, we belonged here. We would always belong here. They say the Mustang is the spirit of the West. Whether that West was won or lost in the end, you'll have to decide for yourself. But the story that I want to tell you, is true. I was there, and I remember. I remember the sun and the sky and the wind calling my name, in a time when wild horses ran free."
*remembers in Matt Damon* 🤔🤭
Don't make me cry
Jason Bourne voices a good horse brain 😂
Mongolia is the only country in the world that has wild horsres any longer. By the end of this century I don't believe you will be able to find any wild horses any longer...
omg I got goosebumps just from reading this
Honestly, being a movie with so little dialogue, Spirit really relied heavily on its music. The fact that you were able to catch so much of the story in this cover is really incredible
Go Patrik !!!!
Spirit is a great movie, especially through its use of music
YES. This soundtrack is so underrated..
One of Hans Zimmer's less appreciated and known work. Truly a beauty and underrated
Thats part if what made it such a great movie because it could convey so much emotion with so few words!
"In the days when wild horses...
were FREE"
It never really occurred to me before, but no matter how hectic the theme becomes, there's still hints of the Homeland theme. Spirit never stops wanting and actively trying to get home, no matter what's happening around him.
You know, I've always been aware of the parts of the Homeland theme that keep slipping in, but never put into words what that means...probably because it's so obvious. But that doesn't keep it from having a resonant meaning. So thanks for stating it, I love it. :)
❤❤❤

Now that you’ve done Spirit, I’d just about die from happiness if you went on to arrange a cover for The Prince of Egypt- one of the best animated films of all time.

I just got hit with the biggest wave of nostalgia, Spirit was the only movie I had as a child due to how expansive and hard movies were to get, I watched it over and over again, this video got me right in the feels. Thank you so much

I am utterly speechless. I think I suggested this cover on almost every video u posted in the past year, and here you are delivering in a way I didn’t even dare to hope for. Homeland and Run Free are two incredibly uplifting and touching compositions and you have done the great Hans Zimmer justice once again. Tears to my eyes as my heart filled with pure happiness and nostalgia. Thank you so much, Patrik.

I saw this movie in te theaters when I was 3.
My famely always tells me that when the narratior said "In the days when wild horses... were FREE" - and then the music came in a roar and all the horses bursted into the screen - I stood up in my chair, full of exitment, and started Rejoicing like a horse "hiii haaa!!!"
some pepole in the audiance didn't like it, but many did...
This movie means so much to me. It brings back such good childhood memories... Thank you Patrick!

Ahhh I’ve wanted to play this forever but couldn’t find a good version, thanks so much for doing this!
This was my favorite childhood movie. Seriously, I watched it maybe over 100 times all the way through. Amid a turbulent childhood, it was one of my favorite memories. I even plan on getting a spirit tattoo :). Thank you SO much for this, I truly loved every second. It brought tears and laughter to my face.
YEAH WE FINALLY GOT SPIRIT! And it's 9 minutes long! 🙂
A couple of requests that I'd love to hear:
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly/Ecstacy of Gold
The Dragon Prince OST (Was nominated for an Oscar in 2020)
The Terminator
La La Land
The Hunger Games- Horn of Plenty
“See You Tomorrow” and/or “This is Berk” from How to Train Your Dragon
He already did How to Train your Dragon
@@jiach2638 Not the two pieces I mentioned though, they're different than the ones he did already
Horn of Plenty is a good Idea.
Bro no Hans Zimmer? Delete your list. XD
I'd rather have Primrose, Returning Home (Tenuous Winners), or Rue's Farewell from Hunger Games. Best songs of the whole series.
Home from Lone Ranger - Hans Zimmer
There’s so many videos I’ve rewatched COUNTLESS times because of how good they are. You’re literally the reason why I’m saving to get a piano now, I wanna be able to do somewhat what you can do.
awesome, I was listening to these "Spirit, stalion . . ." soundtracks whole week and I was just hoping that one day you will do some epic cover. And here we are! It's awesome. Thanks
I'm crying this reminds me of watching this movie everyday for 2 years This movie is my childhood
I cannot even begin to explain how happy I was when I saw this notification. This is the most excited I’ve been for one of your videos since your Star award stuff. And this cover is awesome. This was one of my favorite childhood movies, and still has one of my favorite Hans Zimmer scores. This might be my favorite thing to play when I sit at the piano.
Thank you so much Patrik!! This is not only a part of the childhood of literally everyone, it is also beautiful music, and Hans Zimmer x Patrik Pietschmann, can it get any better?
wow finally. Huhu.
Normally I would ask you to arrange ...
But today i am just saying thank you!
I first saw this movie when it was released in 2002. Over the next nearly 2 decades, I have lost count of how many times I have seen this. I was 20 then and have a 7 year old son now, who also loves this movie. It was Zimmer's absolutely incredible music and Bryan's soulful voice that made this movie from amazing to outstanding.
Thank you so much for bringing back all those old memories. A superb piece beautifully put together.
I've knew Hans Zimmer hearing this songs. So emotional, my heart broke on every scene played.
Since Spirit is my favorite childhood movie, I'll definitely be playing this on loop for a long time. Thanks for such an amazing upload. A marvelous blast from the past.
YES! Finally an arrangement of the Spirit Soundtrack! And such a good one, I had goosebumps all over my body. It's incredible. I heard the music and had the scenes in front of me like I was watching the movie.
I love this movie's main melody/leitmotif.
Princess Rosalina. What an honour. I love this too.
I cried the moment you played the first notes of this masterpiece.
Truly a wonderful soundtrack for a wonderful movie.
Brings me to tears everytime since I was a child ❤
You know why the music is so incredible? It sounds like freedom, like running free with no boundaries. It sounds like the wind feels when you run with it. Like standing at the edge of the Earth and feeling like you can fly.
And you can. You can fly like an eagle. You can fly like Spirit.
This song will always made me cry 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
There is some sort of charming vibe whenever you arrange Hans Zimmer's music and keep it up Patrik , you will definitely achieve much greater
Absolute chills ❤, 10th time listening to it this week and I am still getting chills.
Still the best animation for me. This is so Nostalgic and so beautiful

Spirit stallion of the cimmaron really one of my favourite films. As a kid I use to watch it over and over again every single day I know what happens at the beginning to the very end and seeing this brings back memories and so I say well done to the artist who learnt the music to that film.🙂👍😃👍
I’m playing this song when I walk down the aisle 100% 💙💙 my boyfriend loves the songs from spirit and I made him watch it and he absolutely adores it, I told him I want a horse like spirit and rain, and he said I could get a horse just like him and her when we get some property!!! ❤❤
It is impressive how Patrik can take the most beautiful music peaces and translate them to the piano.
Can we please note the fact, that He Played this one take without one Single mistake😳

The sound of my lover, a feeling so strong
Oh, it's to you, I'll always belong
Now I know it's true, yeah
My every road leads to you
And in the hour of darkness, darling
Your light gets me through
Wanna swim in your river
Be warm by your sun
Bathe in your waters
'Cause you are the one
I can't stand the distance
I can't dream alone
I can't wait to see you
Yes, I'm on my way home

It’s amazing how much work goes into something that looks as simple as this. The sheet music. The talented pianist. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimaroon was my daughter's favorite movie as a young girl and into her pre-teens. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, whoever you're with, however you're feeling... day or night, awake or asleep, healthy or sick, happy or sad, I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO MUCH BABYGIRL!!!!
I swear he makes the pieces come alive. And he literally composes his own arrangements. Excellent work
Thank you for putting the effort into this! A nine minute performance without any mistakes is no easy feat. I'm sorry that none of your recent videos have hit a million views yet, but hopefully it will change. Meanwhile, we're here to support you! I recently bought the sheet music to Violet Melody and it's so fun to learn. Thanks again!
Time to get amazed by this much highly deserving genius
Me and my childhood bestfriend used to watch the movie all the time when we’re little kids. Now time changed and our world drifted apart. Thank you for this, it really means a lot to me.

You've taken me back to my childhood with that beautiful version of I will always return. 🐎This was my fav movie as a kid. I even had a sprite plush toy this movie still holds a place in my heart today thank you 😥😭😊
Hans Zimmer composed the music of soo many of my childhood movies and i never knew
And Patrik just brings the nostalgia like a frickin' truck, he never fails to deliver
keep up the good work Patrik!
Honestly this is a MONSTER of a piece. This is truly beyond impressive and also to be able to arrange for piano. I’m blown away… trying to learn it but it’s 18 pages and all those key changes… hopefully I make it through 👍🏼 Hans Zimmer is a legend.
I just started with this song, I'm new to playing piano so I must be careful not to start learning how to play bunch of songs and focus on one at the time
I can't begin to tell you how much it means to me to hear the music from this movie given the love and respect it truly deserves. I have to agree about how incredible this soundtrack remains and that it is pretty much tied for me with "The Lion King"--which is saying something! On top of that, it also has strong emotional meaning for me. Growing up I had horses myself (or rather, my mom owned them and I got to help her take care of and ride them), so they've always had a special place in my heart. When "Spirit" was soon to come out in theaters, my mother and I were both blown away by the trailers, especially the music, and were planning to see it together. Unfortunately, that same year she developed cancer, and ended up passing before she could see it. I went in her place, for her...I loved it as much as I knew she would have. Saw it twice in theaters, in fact (something that wasn't very common for me to do, outside a few really great movies when I could afford it), and cried both times. In fact I cry every time I hear the music from it (*especially* "Homeland" and its return in the reprise of "I Will Always Return"). I'm tearing up even thinking about it now, and I cried listening to your rendition.
Thank you so much, and you really should see it when you can, if you haven't by now. The plot may be predictable, but it's the execution that matters, and some stories don't need to be incredibly original when they have timeless messages and emotions to express (plus, those amazing visuals and the music). In fact I think I'll dig it out and watch it as soon as I can.
I feel like I just listened to an entire orchestra performance, you sir are magical 👏👏👏👏
Absolutely stunning! Everytime I hear this soundtrack I am reminded how much I love it and why I should listen to it more. Your arrangement does Hans Zimmer justice, like always. You always manage to create full, accurate, and clear arrangements. Again, amazing!

Biggest error in movie is Spirit should not have had a narrator for him. No dialogue. Didn't need it, outside of maybe, OH YEAH(at the jump). Perfect use of music and sound in movie. There was no need for him to talk
Oh... wow. Not sure I blinked in these 9 minutes. My eyes, my ears... in awe ❤
This can't be possible, I just started listening to it this weke after years without, and here you come with a full cover. This is madness

You've never seen the movie? You missed something. It's one of the most beautiful movies I know. ❤️ But please the old film, not the new film version. 😅 Thanks for the beautiful piano performance ❤️
Took me a while to remember that the second song was when Spirit escaped from the train leashes and forest fires.
It actually plays about 3 times throughout the movie as well, not just there :)
I have always loved this movie ever since the first time I watched it. I think I have now watched it around 30 times. And I am only 13 years old. I have memorized all the songs and when they play I picture the movie in my head. This is a teenager on my mom’s phone

Hallo Patrik,
Also nochmal, vielen, vielen Dank für Deine tolle Arbeit
