This time I have dedicated myself to another great film composer. Since I really like the "How To Train Your Dragon" soundtrack by John Powell, I created this piano arrangement based on the tracks "Romantic Flight" and "Test Drive".

1:38 this movie is honestly the âperfectâ movie. Has a plot that resolves itself with genuine emotion while having a soundtrack that matches exactly what we feel
And the LITTLE details they put in the movie make it all that more special. If you look closely you can see the charecters arm hair and other things like that. And even the music. The song stoics ship from when he passes is a sad version of Dancing and the dreaming which was the song he sang to valka †these movies are perfect
This arrangement is simply unlike anything I've ever seen. The amount of notes between notes just adds so much spice that my ears are burning from the absolute fire of the music

Those were the ones that are the main background music in all of them, you can head different versions of the same score in all of the different pieces made for the film

I just relived my whole childhood in 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
It's not every day that a single note carry's a whole song on it's back but that F note at 0:53 adds SO much emotion. Every iteration of this song lives or dies on how that note lands.

Iâm self taught and I usually learn playing by watching the video ( canât read the sheet lol ) and after a month, I have funnily learnt how to play this whole thing pretty well and may I say I am so godamn proud of myself for it, sounds fricken amazing!

I still remember watching httyd for the first time. I was 8, not into animated movies, but was forced to watch it by my cousin. Since then, I've watched the first part countless times and the same with the second and thrid. Now I am 19 and happened to come across this arrangement... and Man! Up until this day I never knew how big role httyd played in my life. As I was listening, tears were streaming down my face and I had the good old childhood days flash before my eyes. My childhood ended with the last movie but I just got all the good memories back. I've never been moved so much by music before and coming from a person who don't get emotional easily, Thank You so much for this Patrik.đ
Im crying, How To Train Your Dragon was released 12 years ago yet still a masterpiece
When I was younger, I used to cry and be so sad that I could never be apart of the HTTYD world. Watching the final movie brung back the sadness, but I knew all great things have to come to an end. I had traveled with the characters all these years and grew up with them. Iâm so happy to be able to have witness this amazing series. Love you all.

For me, it's exactly how you wrote it. HTTYD is, has always been and remains a part of my life. The message the film brings is that you can do anything with your friend. I literally grew up with the movies as they were released. I was almost always right around Hiccups age and dealing with some of the same stuff right around each of the movies. The first one will always be the best and my favorite, but they were all masterpieces imo.

How to Train your Dragon was the first movie I saw in the theatre, I was around 7 or 8 years old. I have since seen all 3 movies and in the final scene (not going to say what happened because it could be spoilers to someone who hasnât seen it) but I just remember crying. This movie series made me felt like a little kid again, and this performance brought back many memories, so thank you :)

Probably the most perfectly written score for the movie it was made for. Every song had it perfect place and can tell it's own story by itself. Test Drive is still probably one of the best pieces ever

After hearing this song I was immediately in love with it. I may still be learning, but there's such a wonderful influence. The nostalgia is so high, and the song and the way it is arranged are just so powerful. It truly is amazing to see music grow and to see generations all over learning. It is sad to know that music doesn't have a big impact on as many people as it should. I feel like music has changed lives all over, and it's amazing to see generations and tutorials like this open to the public for all those to experience the beauty and emotion that was put into this. It was performed amazingly and the dynamics and contrast were just great. I swear if only I'd watched this sooner...

The nostalgia. I cannot say how much I love HTTYD. I don't know how many times I've watched the first and second movie, and nobody knows how many times I've watched the show on Netflix. This song makes me feel so happy. It's nice on piano. I don't know what else to say. HTTYD was the first movie I ever watched, and I'm glad I did watch it. There's so much nostalgia in this song. Everything is perfect about HTTYD. Everything about this video is perfect.

some advice for anyone trying to learn this: split the song into sections (intro 1, intro 2, chorus 1, chorus 2 ect...) and those sections into sections (right hand and left hand). and start off by playing really slow so I would recommend putting the video on a playback speed of 0.25 and following along. it takes a bit longer to learn it but you will be good at each part equally. also a tip with the bigger chords that he is doing. I would recommend doing hand stretching exercises as well as tapping individual fingers on a table top in different formations to help with control. I have been playing piano for 8 years and these tips have helped me greatly. have a good day :)

@@paolagomespereira3627 The best thing you can do for yourself is to slow down your playing. You can hurt yourself if you try to go too fast (in fact, if you have pain in your hands after playing you're probably trying to go too fast)

If there was ever a movie I would say started my childhood, it would be how to train your dragon. This movie is actually the first one I remember watching ever and if things go well, I want it to be the last. That's how much it has impacted my life, something that brought wonder and joy to my life still does whenever I watch it, the characters the beauty of how everything looks and my god the music, pure Magic! Thank you DreamWorks studios for making my childhood.
