I recently became a buddhist when I found that many of the teachings of buddha I was already living as an atheist. Even though alot of it was already there within me it was disorganized or not fully realized until I started studying Buddhism. And although I know I still have a long way to go the world already makes more sence to me now that I have the guidance of Buddha. I never had any of this when I was growing up christian. Which is probably why I became and atheist.
