There are Many people who have shown great courage in facing their enemies, but there are few like you sir ,who have shown Greatest Courage by standing up against their own friends for greater good of this country. General Sinha was about to become the next Chief of Army Staff , but he stood in front of Indira Gandhi knowing very well that it will cost him his promotion ..But he sacrificed his position for greater good. We biharis will always be proud of you 'defiant stand' . May your soul rest in peace.

I am Sikh born in Patna in 64, left for America in 78 but have never forgotten my formative years where I learned how to be humble, respectful regardless of religion. I lived in mathura Prada’s,MP’ house, where poet Dinkarji came during evening to have tea and learned from these gentlemen. Sat in jaya proakshji’s lap listening to stories about our freedom from England. People like these should have led India , unfortunately we got selfish idiots. Sinhaji I feel so proud to be born in such historic land. Each day I miss my days in Patna as I truly grew up in real India . I salute you sirji. Jail hind.

SinghDharmendar The need of the hour is not a strong central govt. The need of the hour is; give sovereignty to each state whosoever demands for it. After all every one wants his privacy n identity. U can't share ur bedroom with 10 people who even don't know ur wake up schedule. Better u make an agreement to help each other in critical times. The reality is these great Gen. r the puppets in the hands of power hungers. Just after the Blue Star Oeraation I also thought that alternate to army operation was to cut off the water supply and electricity and food supply to Golden Temple premises and deploy the armed forces all around the Golden Temple. How many days without these amenities the insider people survive ultimately they have to surrender. By this tactic no damage happened to Golden Temple. The circumstances that arose after the operation would not have been. The horrific massacre that happened after the assassination of Indra Gandhi wouldn't happen. But Indra Gandhi want to show her power and her politics in Punjab.

Wow if he had been in charge, all that unnecessary operation blue star could have been avoided. Due to an over ambitious general Sundarji and a politician hell bent on revenge like Indira, they tore apart Punjabis. Glad to see all is good now and I hope Punjab never sees such dark times again. People need to stay United.

True, this is one side of it. But the other side was bhindranwale's pure hatred and violence. First, that should be criticized by sikh community. I don't hear that, instead they are always saying "bluestar was bad" and trying to find generals who disagreed with bluestar. Bluestar was a REACTION. the ACTION was bindranwale and almost 600 terrorists choosing to hide inside a temple! For god's sake have the courage to criticize that. When a similar thing happened in Mecca, Saudis called french special forces to storm it.

      F*****g Moron!!!
      It was NOT a reaction.
      It was pre-planned Action.
Read SK Sinha 's book youself, he mentioned that the Blue star was scheduled in 1983 and the army was practicing against that model of Golden Temple since Dec 1981 in Uttarakhand armybase and Chakrata army base. The Model was a exact copy of Golden Temple.
They were practicing against Golden Temple since when *Bhindrawale was not even close to Golden Temple* .
When Sehbeg Singh got the information of the army preparing attack, then he, with Bhindrawale started Militarisation of the Golden Temple.
If you don't believe me, then read SK Sinha's book yourself,
If you don't believe SK Sinha, then it proves your prejudice against Sikhs.

Pradeep kharta ji I just wish to ask why was the exceptional valour and honesty of General subeg singh ji overlooked by the then PM Indira Gandhi which lead to the feelings of resentment . Why was he falsely implicated and court martialled and that too days before his superannuation? Later on, even the inquiry established that he was an honest general but it was too late, then. Does anyone have any answers to these questions...NO. That's why we speak the truth.

He did his job as a good soldier. Why attack him? He just did his job as a good soldier in Amritsar, under orders from Mrs Gandhi.

This Hindu general had the same orders but he refused to attack indian civilians. Hence why Sikhs respect him.
Brar being a Sikh changes nothing. By attacking the Darbar Sahib he joined a small group of individuals such as Aurangzeb and Abdali in the annals of Sikh history. We will never forgive him.
