I had the honor of going to the fat duck last christmas for the christmas menu. My god it was incredible and well worth the price. The experience is a mouth watering adventure.
I would advise anyone who's fortunate enough to spend on pricy food to go! You wont regret it.
Went to the Fat Duck for lunch in 2012. Truly one of the greatest meals of my life. A combination of mind-blowing food and (the essential other ingredient) great company.
Wonderful!
Really? Amazing
Nice 👍
So Happy that you listed our Ataraxia Sauvignon blanc 2018 from SA!
Deze man begrijpt het zo ❤ wat een held
Always my biggest inspiration in cooking. Thank you Heston
This was exquisite to view
What an extraordinary cook/chef, an individual.
What a legend!!
This guy is a masterclass of cooking
Heston is a genius; the sound engineer for this video… not so much.
Hands down the best chef in the world.
Lol, no.
@@Irfan87 yes , he contributed to some real world techniques / ideas and recipes that are being used all over the world now
Certainly the most inspiring. I'd wash dishes for free just to be able to learn with his team.
most pretentious, yes
@@hammalamiri12 Overall, as much of a monumental talent he is I sadly have to disagree; my ethos is from an Asian background and I believe Great food should not only be standout in itself but also be accessible to the masses.
So that means Price and value too. I know Heston is ultra-Niche/exclusive and that's fine for his audience; but it's just not comfortable to me forcing someone to spend a minimum $100 just to get a good sample of your talents.
To think this used to be a run down pub he bought to start a simple restaurant.
Well, indeed!
He's just a genius. I've been to many Michelin Stars but this one's even out of my price range unfortunately. But so good to see a talent like him Succeeding.
Even yours wow must be expensive your honor
Bruh it’s the same price as other 3 star places what are you on about
@@SuperZbros Fella ,, you say ''bruh'' , ''bra'', whatever it is and you're talking about Michelin Stars?? 🤨
@@netweed09 You can talk casually and understand what you’re talking about like you can do a quick Google search and see how full of shit you are hahahaha

we all know without liquid nitrogen there will be no Heston
What is the song's name that starts playing at 1:37 ... It's so beautiful and I can't seem to shazam it.

Well, for once, l find the decor plaisant.
I drove past Bray on my way back from Bristol in August, so I drove to the fat duck, took a few photos of outside and a few screenshots of the dishes on Google and then checked in on Facebook.
Quite fancy... i guess
here because of Top chef France
I've wanted to go there for awhile now. I just can't find anyone who might be interested in going there with me.
Me me me! It's been a dream for me to be able to go to the Fat Duck for years 😍 But I have the same problem.. Nobody to join me..
@@IngieKittyx You two should go together! 😉
the other other wishmaster 1:45 ...dooooone!
W°O°W
That roast chicken 🐔is still cooking in the background somewhere
He should go and work on a North Sea oil rig and put great pieces of paprika Goulasch for hungry workers on plates with a pair of tweezers .
You can afford 300 trips to Greggs for the price of one meal here. Coinciderntly you get more food in a single item from Greggs than you'd get from visiting the Fat Duck 300 times.
In my opinion and experience this is a really big misconception about michelin star restaurants. Yes the portions are small, but when you go home after hours of dining and having lots of different dishes, your belly will be full! At least that's my personal experience. And I'm not one that normally eats tiny portions😋
Wouldn't be a fine dining video without someone complaining about the price and (incorrectly) the portions.
I suppose you'd take 100 used Toyotas over a Rolls Royce as well.
👍🏻👍🏻🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@@NotKimiRaikkonen kind of a bad analogy because you only need 1 car. and you need food 3 meals a day every day for your entire life. would u rather have credit for 500 uberx trips or 1 ride in a Lamborghini
you could have 1000 faps or one SEXFUCK
Egg & chips, please!
probably taste nicer than this over the top poop
@@kitezzz360 people like you would never understand the beauty of places like this so I'd rather you stick to your eggs and chips
Duck the only thing getting fat on those portions..
I'll have a Cheeseburger and fries
Ehhhh not paying 900$ for that. Should be like 30$ max, i get it your creative.
They wouldn't be profitable than
I am sorry, but this is the ultimate definition of being pretentious. Honestly, earphones and magnifying glasses? Clearly not something I will be missing in my life.
What sort of out there experience would you think is worth it? Mule deer hunting, white water rafting, mushroom foraging, ect?
none of his dishes look appetising, looks like the sort of pretentious crap people with more money than sense would enjoy
Just look up "Blumenthal Recipes" on youtube and you can see that this man has a serious background in cooking. This isn't somewhere you take the kids, this is somewhere that you take yourself and say your wife for your anniversary.
Boring
I'm shocked seeing him in a tv show using frogs and turtles for a dinner. You don't do that, that's disgusting. There's a DAMN good reason why you can't buy turtles anymore in the rest of the world except for some godforsaken place in the US. And if he'd serve bull balls I'd throw them through the restaurant. That's disgusting. And yes, I know he's a good chef, he CAN make fabulous meals, but I wish he wouldn't lower himself to that level.
fuck off prude hahahaha
Well I'm not going to have much of a rebuttal because obviously you're a moron.
You can buy turtles and frogs in most of the world for food, quit spouting off nonsense. The turtles they're using aren't endangered or anything, they grow by the millions.
"You don't do that" God, you sound like a shrill dying grandmother. I can't speak for turtle but frogs have a protein structure not all too dissimilar from chicken and turns out damn moist when you cook it right. I've heard people say that turtle soup is pretty damn good too. Rocky Mountain Oystersl I've heard are not half bad; because they harden as they cool though they dont make good leftovers. Better than shoving them in a landfill and paying the extra change on your beef. If theyre not for you, you can always thank the folks in Colorado for helping to support the beef industry.
I'm pretty sure turtles are used by chinese
