Mac and Cheese is one of those dishes that is deceptively hard. Sounds easy in theory, but with so many ways to make it, and everybody's preference different, very hard to make in bulk.
That looked like it'd just been sitting under heat for a lil while too long and the cheese went from melted to separated
@@hefudgedafrog sitting under heat too long wouldn't have made them noddles that soft, which is really the problem he had.
So prepare it and dont bulk make it :)

Man the Netflix special was on point. I just wish it had more episodes. We couldn't stop watching it and finished the whole thing in a day.

To who ever wrote the review that gave one star consider your self schooled by Dayme. I think the worst reviewed soul food restaurant looked so much better. The food at this one was not impressive to me. Love this series.
Both are not great. Inconsistent. The sides at both suspect.
Sweet potato pie all day. My grandma Smith made hers with a little bit of lemon juice and it was awesome ❤️❤️ never used a recipe so we all really miss it ❤️❤️❤️

Would you ever do a Pub best/worst review? There's a nice little pub in Wallingford that is about a year old. They have a buffalo dip that is so addicting. I am not a fan of potato salad but I love this places. It's called New England Hops.

That's the restaurant business. You wanna provide containers for take out. My thing is, if the customer is going to dine in my dining room, I'm going to serve them their food on plates with silverware. Their beverages will be served in a glass. That'll cut back on using too many plastic containers.

I thought the mac & cheese from the last video looked good but this one looked even better! YUM! The ribs and greens looked amazing too! As far as sweet potato vs pumpkin pie, I like both but I prefer pumpkin for holidays like Thanksgiving and sweet potato on non holidays usually.

The problem is dem hot plates they keep the food in. That's how the food gets to be too greasy
I make the pork chops cooked long in the gravy sometimes. Did it last week. Love that. I've made collards, which I liked. But I need to try them prepared by a soul food cook to see what the product is supposed to be. All the recipes say you have to cook them for hours, and I just don't think that's necessary. My mac & cheese game is OK. My fried chicken is OK. Got a story, though. I'm Gen X, born in 1969. And when I was young there was a presence of black culture in mainstream media. Good Times, Red Foxx, Car Wash, Earth Wind & Fire, just disco in general. And Some of the 70's I was living in New York. So I had heard of soul food, though I did not know what the term meant. And my parents did not bring us kids to church, so I had no idea what the theological concept of a soul was. It was just something inside you. Conflating the two concepts, I thought the soul was an organ, like your liver, or something.

I grew up eating pumpkin pie exclusively, but I tried sweet potato pie within the past couple years, and it was soooooo good! I love both, but that sweet potato pie had the better flavor.
