I honestly find the london underground so cool, the loud scary noises sounding like the trains about to derail, and the sometimes busy or full carriages meaning you have to stand up and risk being flung around inside as it slows down and speeds up, the labyrinth-like tunnels as the different stations are designed differently. A truly terrifying and amazing experience there.

Thank you so much for this! I used to live in Salisbury in the 1960s when I was a child. My mom took me on the subway when she went shopping. The sights… the oily, damp smells… The breeze on the platform as the train arrives.…. All delightful memories!
