Meet 'Aura the Robot': Sphere Las Vegas' new AI-powered greeter and 'spokesbot'

- According to a news release, the robot named "Aura" will interact with guests at the venue and serve as the venue's "spokesbot" as an integral part of The Sphere Experience.
I do not want to look into the symbolism behind this project. Its one of a kind. We live in unprecedented times.

This is Ameca from Engineered Arts. Is the Sphere white labeling their robot. Very confusing. Can't find any information on this.
You are right. It’s supremely obvious. I don’t understand how people haven’t caught onto this.
aura actually has a much different personality than ameca. aura gives off a more friendly/innocent vibe whereas ameca is colder and not as friendly. voices are different too
I was watching Auro talking to people on a Twitch stream. it is clearly just a real person watching on the camera and answering their questions through a mic that comes out of the robots speakers. It's so lame lol, it's just a static animatronic, yet people were all enthralled like it was a real AI talking to them, it's not people!
"I cannot wait to meet to meet you all tomorrow"- Terminator Genisys. Sounds very similar to what this Aura robot said, lol!
