    Good entry. Pasha looks very professional, the song is fun and original. I expect that the staging in Liverpool will be much slicker; Moldova usually delivers in that department.

    I dont' love eveything they send but I think Moldava punches above its weight in Eurovision more consistently than just about any other country.... Last year's entry was my favorite (no chance to win but loads of pure fun) and this is also high on my list.... pagan drums, antler headresses, dwarf flute guy.... I'm giddy!
    This is what Eurovision is made for!

    At last.......an entry i can get behind fully!
    You can always rely on Moldova to bring quality and this year is no exception.
    Pasha Parfeny is a true professional and he will take the contest in Liverpool in his stride
    Similar to France last year but as much as i loved Fulen, this seems to be more accessible than that was.
    I had my fingers crossed this would win and thank god it did
    A guaranteed qualifier and this wouldn't suprise me at all if it gained a top 10 finish.
    Well done Pasha and congrats Moldova 🇲🇩

    The Moldovan selection is one of my most anticipated of the year, even if many times it is quite obvious who the winner will be. This is a quality song and performance, will be interesting to see how Semi 1 pans out. In the wake of massive favorites, it is songs like this that can still gather some support. Reminds me how Ireland could have sent Midnight Summer Night...

  • @madalinaanton3253
    @madalinaanton3253 Před rokem +5

    You forget that moldovan national selections usually look worse than this, even Zdob și Zdub last year won just by standing there, that's simply the budget they have for a national selection, doesn't mean they won't know what to do on the big stage. We definetly want the little man and you will certainly hear him play the caval in the green room in Liverpool.
    I am romanian by the way, I am happy they chose this,I also feel represented so thank you Moldova!

    This has got to be their best entry since 2017 or 2018! So much potential! I dont think they should change a thing for now because it really works for me. They managed to slaughter Epic Sax Guy and SP and in their place we have Pasha and the Dwarf Flute Guy who if they send him with Pasha to Eurovision, will become MORE legendary! You have to remember you are seeing the Moldovan national selection version. If you looked at the other songs, you'll see that the other songs had poor staging due to Moldovan budget issues: Moldova is a tiny country and is in the East on the threat of war.

    • @neconeconeco
      @neconeconeco Před rokem

      yeah they have a itty bitty baby budget that's stretched more than ever before. it would have probably been irresponsible for them to spend too much on this tbh so i think they did a pretty good job. ☀

      @@ESCTom for sure, I mean his audition sounded exactly like the record and he was all over the stage (it was just him like you mentioned). He also did the same thing on a daytime talk show, same broadcaster. He’s never out of breath or off-key, it’s super manageable.
      As for the staging, Moldova is definitely one of those countries where you spend $10 on the auditions, $100 on the national final and $1M on the ESC presentation so I think we’re in for a real moment.

    I'm so happy that he won, I was so sure that they'd pick Sunstroke Project as the artists that gave them their best result, but in my opinion they definitely selected their best option, Sunstrokeʼs entry was much weaker than their previous two.
    Considering that this was a very low budget performance, it'll look so much better on the big stage in Liverpool.
    And Moldova always does really good with the televoting when they send songs like this, so I'm pretty hopeful that he'll get a good result.

    This is probably this year's Love Love Peace Peace entry. But it only works if it is performed well, and I agree with you that this performance is somewhat lackluster even though a lot is happening. It is not as captivating as Shum (yet), which is probably a high bar, but why not aim for that level? The song lends itself for that level of impact

    • @TheManInBlueFlames

    Very interesting and very much down my street. I was surprised to get the Irish/Scottish/Galician Celtic flutes coming from Moldova, really loved them. Reminded me a bit of a mellow Shooglenifty vibe. The electronic rhythm is good and catchy. I just see 2 weakness... Vocals are not strong, particularly Pasha's. Backing vocals lack power too. Overall the song sounds a bit flat. I think it would need a revamp to make it sound less repetitive and also improve the vocals. Personally I like it but it think it lacks something.
