- How to disconnect and remove a Washing Machine. First Unplug before starting anything, then unscrew hot and cold water hoses. If you want you can disconnect the outflow hose too and Bob's your uncle not too hard to do.

Before you do this next time: After cutting the water via shutoff valves, run the washer on a rinse and drain cycle to draw most of that water out of those hoses. Then unplug it and undo all of your hoses. Way less of a mess.
Excellent tip thank you thanks for watching
So glad I saw this comment! Saved me a huge hassle!
thats what i did with mineon "drain and spin" but didnt shut the valves off, does it make a difference? i have to shut off my main water valve and im worried about it pulling air through the lines or pushing air if thats even possible.
Thanks!
Every project has a guy standing behind you telling you to do stuff you are either currently doing or have already done
Yep, usually it’s my wife
We just get the conventional ones usually it’s a shame because the old ones last much longer than the new ones. They just don’t make stuff like they used to. I heard about a refrigerator somebody found from the 1920s plugged in it worked.
This was a real time video that we need more of. All these “pros” make it seem so simple with their videos shot in an open room. All the space in the world
I know I watch those videos and everything works perfectly but when you got all the stuff in a tight space it’s not so easy. Thanks for watching.
@TomLeeman you still have room to take it out , I live upstairs in an apartment with a tight doorspace idk how I'm gonna be able to drain it all out without a big mess
Great video! This was helpful and more entertaining than I would have expected.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Been living on my own for a year and another new first for me and found this video! Thanks for the help!
You’re welcome. Good luck on your project and new washing machine.
Getting ready to disconnect my washer tonight. Getting a new 1 delivered tmrw. Great video, looks super easy & you 2 are funny while explaining everything. Thank you !

You're hilarious, dude. Very entertaining and informative.
I appreciate that!
Thank you so much! I made it so complicated and you made it so easy!
You're so welcome! 😉
Thank you so much! Our “smart washer” has been leaking since we got it 4 years ago…nobody would touch it…hubs is coming back with an older washer that’s not sensory overload and easier to fix
Good luck on your install. It’s not too hard you can do it save some money. I appreciate you watching the video. Thank you.
I got it sir! Easy peasy!
Tom, thank you for the reassurance of not fucking it up
You are welcome. Good luck on your disconnect.
Thanks, needed this on a move, helpful and straightforward.
You're welcome! Good luck on your move and thanks for watching

Thanks for the entertaining help! I’m about to get a new washer delivered as we speak. I know it’s common sense sometimes but I got too baked last night lol and just wanna make sure I get it right! I was going to turn off the water in the front yard 🫥
L O L. Good luck on that install just make sure you turn off the right water you’ll know because if you take the hoses off squirt all over the place good luck thanks for watching.
L O L. Good luck on your install. Happy holidays. Tell your friend I said hello.
use a dolly they are a huge help and save your floor if you have one. i ran drain and spin but not sure if it takes all the water out. guess ill find out
Excellent tip good luck on your removal of your washing machine and thank you for watching
@@TomLeeman i learned it didnt take all the water out lol. new washer arrived broke. these new ones are crap
That’s my rug! Great tutorial as well, thanks. 😅
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for sharing very informative video. I have a question after removing working washing machine can I keep in safe place to use later in future
Yes, absolutely we used to keep one to die close and re-hook it up and ready so yeah sure
You are welcome
Thank you so much.
You're welcome!
What can I do with the hose if I am not putting a washing machine there?I am removing my old machine, but I am not getting a new one, 😢
Well, there’s definitely something going to your drain or sewer line. I would leave that because you don’t want to remove in case in the future someone wants to use it.
I appreciate the help = shut up, go away 😂
Thanks I appreciate that
No safety boots?
I probably should be wearing a pair. I usually do everything in a pair of flip-flops.
@@TomLeeman My father-in-law once climbed a ladder to wash windows wearing flip flops, fell and hit his head on his car bumper that was in the driveway. Ended up in the hospital.
@@thetoykeet sorry to hear that. I hope he was OK. Flip-flops can be dangerous for sure.
Thanks for making all these mistakes so I dont have to 😅
You're welcome 😊
Could have used a dolly.
That would’ve definitely made it easier
I cannot get my valves to turn to save my life
An old ones that I’ve been there for a long time sometimes you have a broken valve that won’t turn your on and off for your water. What you can do is bend the hose just like we did when we were kids to keep the water from coming out but you’ll have to use the same hose, you could wrap a tie around it to hold it like that until you reconnected to the new washer or you could to turn off the water to the house
Couldve helped the man pull it out 😅
Yep
What about a killer 😮
I’m not quite sure but thanks for watching
@@TomLeeman lol sorry I was watching ur video while on Voice chat & my but didn't realise it was my friend who kept trying to talk to me - also ur video really helped 😊 so ty
Next up, how to wash your ponytail. For men only.
Thanks for watching lol
If I had a ponytailed dude in my house who was constantly reminding himself of thread direction I’d fire him.
