Seriously though, you can never be too careful. I can 110% understand any hesitation any POC, especially male POC, in helping a lost kid. Or helping anyone for that matter. It's so absurd that they're still immediately seen as perpetrators. I mean just recently, the black security guard that subdued a shooter was KILLED, pretty much on sight, BY COPS. Even though HE was the one doing good. Worst of all, he wanted to be a cop. The fact he was murdered for stopping a shooter is disgusting.
All I know is if I'm ever in distress, I don't care what level of melanin someone has if they help me.

She was so small and looked like she could just walk) and the child was soo far behind the dad, the dad didn’t even look behind him, even going inside somewhere without checking on his daughter if she was close, and I’m 100% it was his child cause later (MUCH later) he finally picked her up for a moment, I was shocked by how irresponsible that was, anyone could’ve just snatched the child and run away quick

However, since Whites were concerned she was kidnapping a white child she was removed from the plane, missed the flight and the little girl didn't get to her father. Wow! How many stories have you ever seen of Blacks kidnapping White kids. I ain't seen not one. Yet y'all think we want your kids. Credentials and all and police removed her from the plane. I'm a mixed black male living in China. I was in a hospital getting my shoulder checked out and I saw a little chinese girl running down a hallway and her grandmother wasn't able to stop her. So I bent down and stood in the way of the child, didn't touch her but gave the woman time to catch up. The grandmother was more angry at the possibility of me touching the child rather than her granddaughter running away. When I walked off the grandmother said in Mandarin " that's why you don't run away, someone will try to kidnap you". I had no choice but to swallow my anger and be on my way. My wife (Chinese) was livid as well.

Earl Jones I live in the Caribbean and the amount of white children that get saved by black children at the beach from drowning is astounding. My nephew saved two kids within the span of a year when he was a teenager. People find it strange that locals don't often go to the beach but I think its because when you're younger, you realize that you don't enjoy your beach time because you always have to look out for kids who's parents have lost sight of them. Sometimes the parents are right there but are blissfully unaware that there are riptides or large waves on the shoreline. It becomes stressful. You don't want to get involved, but at the same time you don't want to see someone die in front of you.

I saved a little white toddler from being hit by a car, her father had another baby in the stroller and didn't hold on to the toddler's hand. She was running down the street when a car was coming she didn't stop, and proceeded to run into the open streets. I ran into the street grabbed her hands and lead her back to her father, before the car could hit. Do you know what he said? Not a thing, not a thank you or nothing; he just looked at me with a blank face. Hopefully one day she'll remember a Black woman saved her life, but she might not look at it that way. If her father is a racist he might tell her a Black lady tried to grab you, idk. I live in the South Side of ATL. The side where I've heard often " it's sketchy over there" code for "it's full of black people" when actually all the homes are 250, 000 to Million dollar homes. There's a white family who lives in one of the cul-de-sacs. Their son took a huge tumble on his bike and was obviously hurt, he had a huge scrape on his knees, face and hands. At first I drove right passed him, but my conscience made me back up and ask if he was okay. Crying he said no. I put his bike in the bed of my truck and told him to sit in the back with it. I drove him home and knocked on the door. Father apparently looked out the window and came to the door with a shotgun. I told him what happened, he said nothing. He got his son and the bike from the back of the truck and started walking inside. An older lady inside the house came out and stood at the door. she looked at me, shook her head and said, " aren't you going to tell this young man Thank You!!! He could have just drove by" The father said nothing... she came outside and told me thank you. I said, "ma'am, My first instinct was to pass the little guy up crying. I was trying to be a good neighbor." she apologized profusely and went in the house. A month or so later, the father saw me washing my car. he stopped and apologized for his behavior. I told him no worries... This is a huge fear for us. Yes he apologized, but my kindness was met with guns. The anger I felt towards this man was unmeasurable. when he stopped at my house, I wanted to lunge at him with my fist. I told him that...

This reminds me of me amd my Dad. I was a little white blonde toddler waddling around with my black/indigenous dad.
    We got stopped a lot.
He told my mom he didn't wamt to be seen alone with me in public and she used to be really angry at him about it. She's a pasty white ginger and couldn't understand. He said it was for my safety; he was worried some stranger would try to grab me away some day.
It happened. My mom went to the bathroom at the mall and came back to my dad having a panic attack trying to explain to the security that the old white woman carrying me was not my grandma and he was my father and he needed them to get me back. My mom stepped in amd I was finally returned to my parents.
My mum, after that, just believed my dad when he told her something was an issue. She never doubted the severity of racism and monoracism again. She learmed not to dismiss or speak but just to listen when I, my brother or my Dad talk and to follow our lead. It's the safest thing for all of us.

When I was 24 I came across a crying little white girl near an exit of the mall, she must have been 4-5 years old. At first I hesitated because I knew how I looked, Hispanic and wearing all black denim. But I couldn't just leave her to find someone to help her. So I kneeled down to asked her if she was lost and she said yes. So I told her to take my hand and we went to the security area where I explained to them the situation. Immediately I got looks on the way there but I didn't care really, I guess it was my fatherly instincts that took over and my mission was to take this little girl to her family. Anyways after we got there the security people told me it was ok to leave her there and I could leave. But I told them that I did not feel comfortable leaving her with a stranger, badge or not. So while security announced on the speakers about the little lost girl, we had small talk about sailor moon and other cartoons. When the parents got there the little girl ran up at full speed to her mommy. That for me was all I needed so I got up and went on my way.
When I look back on it anyone could have snatched up that little girl and done God knows what with her. But sometimes you just have to take that risk to do the right thing.

I didn't touch her, I just held the door to the outside so she couldn't get out and we just stood there for 2 or 3 minutes; then her little brother or whoever showed up, and we stood there another minute or so until her family finally showed up and they left. It happened to me at a hotel too. I worked the night shift and a little white girl (why they always getting lost-lol) left the room in the middle of the night and I just happened to be on the floor delivering receipts and she didn't know which room she came from. So, once again, I didn't touch her, but we rode the elevator to the first floor (scary-lol), and she told me her dad's name and I figured out which room she was in and called him to come get her. A woman started approaching so I asked " Is this your baby. She didn't even answer me. " She reached out for him and he went to her and I said " *HE NEEDS A VEST* ". Do you think I got a thank you? NOPE. She didn't even look me in the eyes. She never looked at me or even acknowledged me at all. Her child damn near drowned. Great Wolf has lifeguards everywhere but they didn't spot him struggling that day. Any other occasion I wouldn't of helped to those lengths but we were in a pool and I wasn't about to let any child lose their life.

Shameon Onyou please stop the hate speech. Just because one person mistreated another, 1) a child should not have to atone for that-EVER. 2) no race is above another's. no matter what the history. a life is a life. even if the OP was not thanked Or even worst case scenario, she was oppressed for saving that boys life, (btw that is never something she should have to endure) but it would be the right decision to value a life and a human being above racial discrimination no matter what the outcome. Thank you or none.

Zach Kabia thanks for being so open minded! I was expecting full blowback, but thank you for being respectful. 👍🏽😀 These questions can have very delicate situations and I don't know all of the answers, but personally, I would like to believe that people, no matter what their race, religion or background would do good, and help a lost child or a person in need before thinking about the personal consequences. I know this view can be quite idealistic. But I truly believe that if more people help each other and thought less about how they are hated/ what they should or shouldn't do because of their race or religion/act according to how they've been treated, that more peace and common humanity would break down the labels and barrier we've put up (race, nationality, religion, political party, etc.) Just my two cents. 🙈

Pode acting doesn't just have to be vocal. It can be done with facial expressions and body language

+Pode She looks like she’s calm and about to cry at any moment at the same time. For a child, that’s amazing.

I saw a little white girl trip today and I went to help her and ask if she’s okay and her mother glared at me. Then I saw another little white baby had to be maybe one run away from her mother and get pretty far and I wanted so badly to help but I just couldn’t.

HairMusic Videos I did. At least five more times in addition to the first 5 times. This scenario nails it! And I'm neither black nor male.
