- Pokemon Home was supposed to work with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on May 24th but Gamefreak, Nintendo and Pokemon all said NO! Apparently they made a mistake but I have evidence to show that it wasn't a mistake at all and that Pokemon Insurgence is just a better game.

Here’s the case for Pokémon Home:
1. National Dex Storage - Like it or not, we’re in a post dexcut world, so you need a place to store mons until they have a game.
2. Superior compatibility compared to Bank - At most, Bank had two way transfer with two regions (Kalos and Hoenn) which could already trade with each other via another 3DS. Home currently allows two way transfer between three regions that cannot otherwise talk (Sinnoh, Hisui, and Galar).
3. Extra storage - For those of us who catch a lot of Pokémon, the storage limits on a single save can be hit in a month or two.
4. Regional dex storage - Let’s say you want a shiny charm on multiple saves. With no Home, you have to either catch them all again, do online trades, or use another console to trade over mons. With Home, you just move less than 14 boxes in and out of a save. This is also useful if you want to replay PLA up to the Arceus fight without slogging through the entire dex.
5. Pokémon on the go - You can see your Pokémon on your smartphone while on break if that appeals to you.
6. Poké Ball colored Megearna as a trophy for catching all Pokémon at the time.
To be fair many of those are solutions to problems they have created
I frankly love Home for the ability to show off my National Living Dex to friends on a Pokemon Go session.
While I agree with everything you said the issue is the price, they're scalping us hard. In Australia it costs $25 for a yearly subscription! I bought it while playing PLA not too long before S&V came out but because it took so damn long for Home to work with S&V the subscription ran out. I f@#$ing hate unnecessary subscriptions with a passion. They're just greedy full stop. If they at least had a way to migrate all your Pokemon from the previous gen game to the current gen game I wouldn't have as much of a problem because at least they offer a free solution.
However the way it's set up at the moment it's a giant scam. Doesn't help that so many are locked in-game unless you purchase the DLC. I have so many Pokemon locked in Home storage it's insane that I have to pay every time just to access them. AT THE VERY LEAST LET ME LOOK AT WHAT I HAVE AND JUST LOCK THE ABILITY TO MOVE THEM!
Here's the case. Karaidon traded for Maraidon and sent to home, reset the game boom battle form Karaidon, rideable form Karaidon and Battle form Maraidon hhh totally worth it, this guys a downer literally

its just a personal opinion and worry to see gamefreak get lazy , the game is good yes but the fact *it would’ve* been better like …. How does that not bother anyone ?? , just give the game its 3+ years of development . I’m a patient mf I’ll happily wait a couple years if we can even get close to the substance that black/white , sun /moon gave us in terms of not only story/postgame but the true thrill of being able to see *Your* favorite mons in the best possible battle environment and graphics you can hope to see them in. the switch is clearly more powerful then the 3ds and god knows when they decide to do another Pokémon console release 5 years from now if and when Nintendo decides to dump a new handheld and separate console that isn’t called a switch (just look at the wii) I refuse to let Pokémon rev be the last full 3d battle game they put thier heart into for battle animations and effects

Edit: for the people that are curious or bother to look up , watch a guy that does Pokémon competitive history , he goes through the ages of meta Pokémon and hell you can see yourself the battle animations of all the games through the years and y’all judge yourself for what you see 🤷🏽♂️
I love scarlet and go is kinda cool to be honest I kind of play Scarlet like I do red walk around catching what I can I just wish I could pick my old buddy Charmander just for nostalgia sake like if I enter my birthday then I can pick whatever Pokémon I want lol PS I have one Charmander on go waiting for that very reason.

Saying Mythical Pokémon are satured is an insane take. Many of them haven't been distributed in a while, some over half a decade ago.
4:00 regarding the "one mythical/legendary" and "if you move it out and back in, they will treat it as a clone." I'm not sure where you got your information, but the rule is just that you cannot transfer out more than one. You could move the Dialga from Brilliant Diamond into Home into Legends Arceus and vice versa. The limit is one captured per save file, and only that one can be moved in and out. If you try to move a second Dialga out of the game that wasn't sent into it via Home/trading, it will be blocked.

in SV you don't need to breed for egg moves, all you need is a mirror herb
Reminds me of the Sandbox Feature from Pokémon Unbound. Actually i think I prefer the way it works in unbound than any official game method available to date.
And in Galar also don't need to breed for egg moves

genning via a bot is even faster than setting up home. i mean you either shiny hunt and have an individual value due to your personal success, or you are competative and mess around with a bunch of mons, you will never be attached to.
You make good points (actually, not really if I were to break them down point by point), but playing through a new save file with these Pokemon will take way longer than 3 days (at least 2 weeks) so this is totally worth it to me.
So far ive had Home for....3 years? I think. And Ive had enough use of it to justify the price. But thats just me personally.

I agree that Home, especially with the 1-year plan, is not worth the price. If it and the Nintendo Online services were ideally free and came with an option to donate money if the user wanted to(while allowing for the person to cancel the donation if they change their mind), then it would be slightly better.
For Home at least, we need more functions and features to make it more worthwhile than just storage that, when not used often, act as stasis for the potentially 100's of Pokémon stored inside.
That makes literally no sense. No one will donate to some giant company for a service no matter how good it is lol

how long was it before you checked your bank again? because i hadnt touched my bank in over 5 years and stopped paying for it as i didnt even have a 3ds console, got another console and all of my pokemon were still there. did you trade or sell or give away an old 3ds of yours while pokemon bank was still downloaded and had an active membership? its possible who ever it went to, took your pokemon out of transfered them into home for themselves, or if you removed everything from the console before hand, when you got another console are you absolutely sure you signed into the same account? not the same nintendo account but the same 3ds and wiiU account? if it said that you couldnt because you account was still attached to a different console did you call nintendo and ask them to transfer your 3ds/wiiU account to the next 3ds console you got? if you got a console second hand and were using the bank account already on there, are you sure the original owner didnt eventually have their account transferred to a different console?
Since SwSh there is no need to re-breed Mons to get new egg moves. There can be "transfered" really, *really* easily now. But almost perfectly agree with everything you said in this video.
I'll be honest, the only reason I was " waiting" for Home update is because I'm in a ribbon quest right now, but it doesn't require me to be impatient for Home. I would even say that it could take to 1 or 2 more months to be absolutely sure there is no weird bugs, i wouldn't care. I'm pretty sure that's the reason why it get delayed, the update allowed some bugs that couldn't be tolerated for *payed* service on *cloud* . I realle hope that now the service is absolutely perfect, because the price is not worth what we get

Honestly the Ribbon Quest is the only thing tying people to Pokémon Home and every new game release.

understandable, but I'm still using a lot for my shiny living dex, so I'll still buy it, but yeah, if you don't need it for what you do, yeah it's fair to don't buy it, but in my personnal case, I've never had any problem with it. I'm at almost 70h on it so yeah I'm using it a lot, but yeah, if it's not usefull for you, don't buy it, if you need it or is usefull for you, buy it, it really depend, but yeah, it doesn't worth the price
Only use for Pokemon Home for me is a In-Between Transfer Point and a Cross Generation GTS (Trading for Pokemon regardless of which Games they're compatible in.) with the bonus of not even needing a Switch Online Subscription, all of which I can get with the Free Tier. If you got in or back into Pokemon on Switch there is no need to buy Home, just Create another Switch Profile, start a new game, and behold Free Storage.

I only ever pay the 1 month plan when I either want to transfer Pokemon from Bank or want to move around more than 30 Pokemon in any one time (which is rare), the basic free plan is good enough for transferring Pokemon between Switch games
Same you don’t need anything but the basic monthly plan you just pay when you wanna transfer and be done
I use Pokémon home daily. It’s well worth the money we pay to use it and the quality is great. Never asked for the world just a way to store my Pokémon

My complaint is theres no auto sort your left to sort 1010 pokemon yourself or more if you got multiples

I literally just got Pokémon Scarlet 2 weeks ago, and I love it. I honestly see myself playing this everyday until Gen 10 because I think it’s a Perfect Game for me.
I don’t get bored at all, getting Shiny Pokémon in ApriBalls is so much fun!

And that's why I decided to play Pokemon SV AFTER the update of Pokemon Home. What really upset me is that, I AM the target audience of the Premium Pokemon Home, since I have been collecting event pokemons since 2016, and I do have Pokemon Bank since 2017. However, the price is ridiculous for what ILCA (not Game Freak) is bringing to the table, and on top of that, I NEED to wait 6 months to have until an update where I can add Pokemons from Pokemon Home to the newer games? Sorry, but NO thank you!
It's 16 dollars. Per year. There's nothing ridiculous about the price.
@@darthmewtwosmaster4064 Pokemon Bank used to be 7 USD, and for the price hike, Pokemon Home isn't really offering a substantial benefit for the consumer. Also, NSO cost 20 USD, and offer a far more interesting value here. There is really no excuse to ask for 16 USD for a service that you just store a large amount of pokemons, and pretty much nothing else.

Pokemon data probably isnt more than a few bytes of text data for things like stats, moves, trade history, held items, etc. it doesnt make sense to spend more than a few cents for a few bytes of data on a server.
You could probably fit all current and future pokemon data for all of your games forever on a cheap $8 flash drive, its not like you need to store the animations and models for each mon.
The prices that they're charging is essentially just gouging players or holding their pokemon hostage until you can transfer the pokemon to a game.
Sure it might be affordable but rheres nothing stopping them from increasing the price while almost paying nothing for the data.

Only reason I have as to why I'm gonna buy HOME, is that I am a National Living Dex Completioner. I'm currently making a living dex in all the games, and when I'm done there, it shouldn't be too hard, there's just a few Pokémon not available in any of the games left.

Pkhex a save editor could transfer pokemon from all the way over from gen 1 to gen 9 after a week of relase of S/V btw LOL you need a hacked switch though also they will be illegal since pokemon home support isn't up yet also you can store your pokemon locally on your pc out of your save file too with this program
I use pokemon home since it came out for sword/shield. I never had any connection issues. Not even once
The funny thing about the Pokemon Home thing is, the subscription service is only mainly for 200-box storage, not for transferring Pokemon.
You can transfer Pokemon in and out of Pokemon home without paying for it........
So saying "Because I paid for the subscription so they don't have excuses for delaying compatibility" is kinda redundant.

@@HybridHero You get free 30 pokemon storage for free. This means as long as you don't put more than 30 mons on Home, you don't need to pay for it, you can already move your mons around the Switch titles.
Pretty sure on transferring features, you only pay for transferring pokemon from 3ds or Go to the Switch. Within the Switch is free service, subscription only for storage.

Your premise that data that represents something and reminds of the past (pokemon, pictures, old text messages etc.) cant have sentimental value is wrong. The human mind doesnt care how something is composed, anything can potentially have sentimental value.
Its like saying old photos or stamps/ card collections cant have sentimental value beacuse they are just made out of random paper.

I've heard Pokemon tweeted to transfer all Pokemon in bank to home asap and hinted at an upcoming removal of Pokemon bank. if this is the case how do I transfer my Pokédex from my gen 5-7 into Pokemon home. I'm not going to complete it anytime soon but id like to eventually get the national dex in black two and transfer that up through to Pokemon home to have in upcoming games.

I bought pokemon home for a month (to sort boxes) and have stored almost 600 pokemon. My subscription has now expired and I can no longer access MY Pokemon. i will NOT spend money again to get MY pokemon... is there a way without paying again?

you do for the better version, using the base version is obviously more a chore to manage which is the point, even a small price a month adds up year after year, combine with NSO and dlc to these games and you're paying exorbitant prices for a subpar brand that still doesn't get you everything

NONE of the fossil Pokemon are compatible with Scarlet and Violet currently, and none were introduced in 9th gen as a whole, fittingly.
You really don't need Home Premium. I've completed the Home National Dex and have gotten multiple legit shinies using the free version.

So I need you to find someone that can mod in the 1000+ mon into the game then tell how long it takes and how stable the game is and no downgrading models or enhancing console to operate above spec
All gamefreak had to do was make an app to store pokemon offline and save the data on your switch. It would periodically check online to make sure they're legit save file and don't bother with cloud storage but hey they're making so much money off it this way unfortunately. Doesn't feel like the same devs who made HGSS tbh, these games feel rushed and they aren't going to bother having 1 damn game have all 1000 pokemon 😂 they just make restrictions purposely. I returned to pokemon after being absent for quite a number of generations and with scarlet, it was decent fun but no way imma do it all over bc the home supports it now lol there's way too many other games to play than to bother with SV... the games story just didn't land for me until the absolute end at Area Zero.

I’ve not paid a single dollar on it since release because the only reason why needed home was to transfer in small amounts and or mass release which you don’t need multiple boxes for.

I don't think it's all Pokemon Home fault.. I mean, if Pokemon Company created good pokemon games on Smartphones that could have all pokemon in National dex and transferable to Pokemon Home vice versa.. I think it would push Pokemon Home usefulness.. The game Don't need to be complex, just a simple mobile version of pokemon stadium-like game that have feature to breed, competitive builds, mini games, or any features that create a connection between player and the pokemon.. I believe Pokemon Home would skyrocketing due to that, even for non-switch user would love to try that.. Imagine, they got pokemon from Go and transfer it to that game via pokemon Home and doing competitive tournament without ever having switch.. that was good

Egg moves does not exist in gen 9 😂😂. You only need to set a camp and give mirror herb to the pokemon you want to learn the egg move

It is really. You get one box for free, and can realistically do everything you need to do with it using that. It’s basically just a convenience tax where they let you pay money for way more boxes, which is kinda shitty, but at least I don’t need to pay to transfer all my shinies and stuff

I paid like 5 euro's for one month and like 15 for the entire year orso, for 200 boxes, and be able to transfer from older games (ds) to switch, and transfer the boxes through accounts, idk man. i have a special account for all legendaries and shinies with acreus, diamond, scarlet, sword etc, which i am able to transfer back n forth between games and accounts whenever i please... I dunno man, glad i got it
