  • I was lucky enough to be able to steal these extended +2 A-arms for the YFZ 450 for $220. They were in great structural condition so I just sand blasted them and hit them with some new powder! Now they look AMAZING. The install was simple and the machine is coming together! I AM LOVING THIS BUILD

    I’m restoring a banshee with alba +2 arms and tie rods from Alba all new ball joints
    My question is with all the new ball joints my steering feels stif not bad I’m assuming because all new balls is this normal? I also have new steering stem bearing and upper mount everything is new

      Yeah. It takes a little bit until all that Lincoln drop. It almost feels as if you’re running a stabilizer.

    Do you like the alba a-arms? Or would you have gone with something different? I can’t decide if I should get alba, full flight, or asi eBay arms that look just like alba

      @juicer911  Před 2 lety +2

      I have absolutely no problem with the Alba arms. I would buy them again.

    What size tie rod ends are those for the alba arms? I got the long travel a arms and it came with the actual tie rods but seems like the tie rod ends that I bought don’t thread in. My bike is a 07

    • @juicer911
      @juicer911  Před rokem +1

      I am not 100% sure. Most likely you should have upgraded ends. I think 2006 has a bigger tie rod end.

    You don’t have to reuse your dust caps from the old a arms?

    • @juicer911
      @juicer911  Před rokem +1

      I do. I corrected that issue at the end of the video. I was wondering why they were so loose. Then it hit me.

    did you get a longer rear axel?

    • @juicer911
      @juicer911  Před 2 lety +1

      No. I used alba rear spacers!

  • @hennessyremy4970

    The tie rods need some green on them.

  • @javiermartinez336
    @javiermartinez336 Před 2 lety

    So you mean to say that the tie rod ends aren’t the same size? Im having such a hard time aligning it, maybe that’s why it’s not working.

    • @juicer911
      @juicer911  Před 2 lety

      The length of the tire rods should not affect your alignment much. I basically eyeball mine and then ride to see if it’s tracks straight. And go from there

    • @javiermartinez336
      @javiermartinez336 Před 2 lety +1

      @@juicer911 I got it to align a little better by adjusting the toe but have yet to ride it and see. I might just end up paying a shop to do it because better safe then sorry.

      @@javiermartinez336 I'm not sounding negative, but if you're questioning it that much, take it to a shop. As long as everything is tight, a little misalignment will not cause anything to be dangerous. You will either feel a slight pull to one side or you will have to keep your bars slightly tweaked to drive straight. But you can't go wrong with paying someone else to do it I guess.
