- Finally it's reasonable time. In this video we're gonna be installing the custom powder coated team of a long travel for a arms. Those are gonna be coupled with the YFZ450R shocks that have been re-sprung and valved for my weight by Jogaco suspension. I opted to go with a dual spring rate set up that he had powder coated illusion orange and YZ blue. Let me know what you think. The rear shock is a stock banshee shocked that is also rebuilt and powder coated.

Spacers can be positioned 2 rear 0 front, 1 rear 1 front or, 0 rear 2 front to adjust the castor of the arms and alter the steering characteristics of the bike. From high speed stability but fairly 'numb' turn in, to all-round stability and turn in sensitivity, to maximum turn in sensitivity but 'nervous' feeling at high speed in straight line. 👍
Just go 1 rear and 1 front for starters, which is the 'all rpund' setting.
There are other steering considerations to be made before deciding one way or the other with castor.

If you have the Alba, long, travel a arms for the YFZ 450 can you use stock length YFZ 450r shocks?

I’m dealing with that same issue. Jogaca refurbished my 450 shocks also for my weight. I have the FULLFLIGHT +2+1 long travel a-arms, they’re close but once the quad is on the ground it has clearance. Kinda irked me a lil how do you feel about that?
Yea I am not thrilled with that. Knowing that when my front tires are off of the ground, they may be touching, is a bit bothering.
